Overall Experience

We recently moved our child from this nursery due to ongoing issues with communication and overall experience. We didn't feel there was much relationship with staff and updates were very limited. There were also repeated inconsistencies between the app used and what we were told in person, which we raised but didn't see improve. No serious issues, but overall the lack of communication and consistency meant it wasn't the right fit for our child.

Overall Experience

We had a rocky start at Butterflies following a disappointing ofsted report and a continuation of agency staff.
Following the recommendations and some change management, the management and team really worked collaboratively to get butterflies into a really warm and nurturing environment. The change in team morale and a genuine display of love and care for the children made me feel assured that my child was in a safe environment where he would grow. My son has loved his experience at Butterflies and we will miss the team who have played a significant role in his overall development!
Special thanks goes to Mel, Jo, Tim, Caitlin (baby room) Casey (baby room) and Lauren (toddlers)! All the team are fantastic and are true assets to the operations of the nursery. None of them should be taken for granted, it's no easy task being a nursery nurse.

Absolutely love the baby team, they are so good with my little girl and she gets a lot of one to one time with her key worker. Overall Experience

Both our children have attended butterflies with our youngest currently in pre school. We are very happy with the level of care that our children have received throughout their time at butterflies. The staff are very warm and welcoming to the children, always very smiley and the pre school room is set out in an inviting way. There are always lots of very creative and fun activities set up, with a focus on learning through play. The children spend a lot of time outside in the garden and aren't afraid to get messy and play outside. The children in pre school have all formed strong friendships and our son is always talking about his friends, the "teachers" and what's going on at pre school! The food that is cooked onsite is really varied and provides welcomed healthy options. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Butterflies's, as a nursery and pre school.

I'm extremely happy with the care and support that my child receives whilst at nursery. All staff are warm, caring, approachable, and appear genuinely invested in my child's wellbeing and development.
My child has attended the nursery since he was 9 months old and is now in the Toddlers room. I am regularly seeing growth in his confidence, communication, independence, and social skills. The activities provided are engaging, educational, and clearly planned with the children's interests and development in mind.

My child is always coming home singing new songs he has learnt, he is able to identify the staff and his peers, learning and remembering new names, and starting to speak in sentences, often saying 4-5 words together now (e.g. "went in preschool garden"). My child is also starting to recognise and verbalise his emotions more. Staff are demonstrating hard work and commitment to help to improve his communication and language skills each time he attends the setting.

Overall Experience

Both my children have attended Butterflies Nursery over the years, and my youngest is currently in the toddlers room. Recently, I've really noticed a positive shift towards a more stable and consistent structure within the nursery, which has been lovely to see.
My youngest genuinely enjoys her days at nursery and always seems happy, safe, and well supported by the team. She has come on leaps and bounds through the different activities provided, and it's been great seeing her confidence and independence grow. She especially enjoys the healthy food options and loves being able to pour her own cereals and drinks, which is such a lovely way to encourage independence.

Overall, we've really enjoyed our experience with the nursery, and in the 5+ years both of my children have attended, I've never had any issues.

I couldn't be happy with butterflies nursery. The care provided in every aspect is outstanding.
The meal selections are fantastic. The variety really helps with introducing new flavours to my little fussy eater.
The updated parenting app throughout each day was very helpful and reassuring for me. Specially when the children were transitioning onto full days.
The nursery staff are so caring and attentive, my children talk about them once home in a great way which to me speaks volumes.

I rarely give reviews but having observed and experience the genuine love and care the staff have for the children, I must say this nursery is one of the bests so far. The nursery manager, Josie, is not just occupying an office, she gets involved, she is present for the kids and always ready to address the concerns of parents. Josie and the staff goes over and beyond to ensure the children are comfortable and well cared for. Overall Experience

Staff is caring. Child gets looked after and encouraged for good behaviour. Socialising in the facilities is promoted.
Plenty of activities tailored for each child's needs. Bad behaviour is explianed in child's language and level of understanding so they learn from mistakes and to not repeat.
Good library of storybooks. Our child loves coming back to preschool everyday, you can't ask more.

I will definitely recommend the place.
