The Early Years Alliance is the largest voluntary sector provider of high quality affordable childcare and education in England. A registered educational charity, the Alliance is also the largest and most representative early years membership organisation in the country.

Supporting 14,000 member settings to deliver care and learning to over 800,000 families every year. The Early Years Alliance manage a range of childcare services, family learning projects, offer information and advice, produce specialist publications, run acclaimed training and accreditation schemes and campaign to influence early years policy and practice.

Childcare and family services offer a range of family-friendly in safe, stimulating and caring spaces for children and families including specialist support for children and families with additional needs. Every service is supported by well-qualified and trained early years teams and other partners. Learning through play activities, linked by the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS), often include; stay and play, baby groups, sing and sign, baby massage, father groups and fun, interactive music sessions.

The Early Years Alliance are committed to involving parents in all aspects of their work and recognise the importance and value of learning through play which underpins the delivery of EYFS in the the Early Years Alliance settings and centres.

Very well professionally ran nursery. Always keep you up to date on the app, which is modern. Flexible with parents timings etc. in term of the care itself, my child is always happy to go to the nursery and enjoys her time there. She has made plenty of friends and her English has improved greatly. The
staff are great, easy to approach and friendly. They always keep you informed of any issues like children falling etc. and also of any development issues. The facilities are good too, with plenty of toys, outdoor area. My child is always bringing home drawings/painting etc she has done at the nursery. Would really recommend this pre-school to everyone looking for a space for their infant.

My daughter is currently at Lydgate preschool. She is happy, content and confident in the setting.


The staff are very approachable and friendly, they all have a patient and kind demeanor. They cater to my child's needs and she has shown an immense amount of growth and progress during her 1 and a

half years at Lydgate preschool.


I am very pleased with the facilities and resources that my child is provided with and I believe that staff provide a happy and exciting environment for all children at the setting.


I am extremely happy and satisfied with all aspects of Lydgate preschool and would definitely recommend it to other parents.

My son absolutely adores all of the staff and they love him. I feel completely comfortable leaving him there as I know he is well looked after and enjoys all the activities. He has learnt so much and his development is coming on leaps and bounds.
Everyone is so friendly and it really is home from home.
My son went to another nursery first of all as we couldn't get a space here for over 2 years but I am so pleased that when a space finally came up we moved him. It was certainly worth the wait!

We honestly couldn't say anything bad about any of the team at the nursery. Since our daughter started in September 24 and then our son started in January 26 the manager and the team have gone above and beyond for them both! They are all so friendly, supportive, easy to approach and nothing is too much
to them! The support we have had from the manager and some of the team has been amazing we couldn't thank them enough! Both our children love going to nursery and they get excited when we arrive there! I was weary about putting them into nursery as I'm a worrier but since they both started I no longer worry as I know the team are fantastic and they will do everything to care and make sure they are happy and looked after!

Definitely the best nursery in the area. The staff are very friendly and have good relationships with the children that attend. My daughter absolutely loves going into nursery and doesn't stop talking about everything they get up to. The nursery allow the children to be as independent as they want within
reason, which as a family we love. Will be sending my other daughter here as we love it so much.

My child started at this nursery a few months ago, and it has been such a lovely experience for our family. As a parent, leaving your child somewhere new can be emotional, but the staff made the whole transition so comforting and reassuring. They are incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely care about
every child.
My daughter settled in so quickly and now goes in every morning with a big smile. She has made wonderful new friends and often talks about her teachers with so much love. It means the world to see her so happy, confident, and excited to learn.
The nurturing environment and dedication from the staff truly make this nursery special. I'm so grateful knowing my child is safe, cared for, and enjoying such a positive start to her early years.

Both of my boys attended this pre school setting and the staff both times have been absolutely amazing, my boys have always felt comfortable, confident, safe and happy attending, there brilliant from the updates throughout the day, the communication they give to each parent regarding there child but

My daughter has been going here for 2 years hands down the best nursery in Southend, the staff are so kind, attentive and patient my daughter loves all of them individually,they keep you up to date with what there doing, they send pictures of the activity, what snack they've had, it's also so clean
the cleanliness is amazing, I've not had a single problem whilst she's been there I would 100% recommend

I can't fault this preschool, my daughter absolutely loves going. She has come on leaps and bounds since she started, in lots of ways. Her speech and independence has massively improved and she is truly thriving, from the moment we viewed the preschool to now I have always felt so welcome and supported

I couldn't be happier with this nursery. When I was choosing a nursery for my first daughter, I visited several places, but this was the one where she instantly felt comfortable and happily went off to explore on her own. That gave me such a reassuring feeling as a parent.


The staff are absolutely

lovely - kind, patient, and always great at communicating. My experience was so positive with my first child that when my second daughter was ready for nursery, I didn't hesitate to bring her here as well.


I'm really grateful to the whole team for creating such a warm, safe, and caring environment for my children.
