Farcet Village Nursery is a warm and friendly childcare service, located in the rural village of Farcet, Cambridgeshire.

Managed by the Early Years Alliance, the setting provides flexible, affordable and quality childcare for children aged between 2-4 years-old.

They provide places for children who are eligible for 2 year funding (including the new working parents code), as well as Universal Funding for 3/4 year olds - and accept Extended Entitlement (30 hours). There are places available for those on a fees basis too.

Farcet is Ofsted Registered (Graded Good in its last inspection, June 2022), and follows the Curriculum known as the 'EYFS' (Early Years Foundation Stage) to provide exciting and stimulating activities through the key principle of 'Learning through Play'.

Early Years Alliance staff have all been employed through 'Safer Recruitment' and have DBS Certificates linked to the update service.
Upon taking up employment; a 6 month probationary period is in place; and during this time staff are required to complete training in:

- Basic Child Protection (Local Authority)
- Safeguarding (Alliance training)
- Health and Safety (Alliance training)
- Basic Food Hygiene
- First Aid

All of these come with varied renewable dates ranging from every 2 - 3 years.

My son started in October and all the staff have been really good at getting him settled in. All the staff are lovely and caring and make me feel at ease. He seems to be settled now and enjoys going for the day, they are always up to new things.

Highly recommend this preschool both my boys have gone and us going to this preschool, the staff are outstanding and are always doing great learning activities with the children and also do a lot of free flow which is amazing as my boys love being outside. Snack that is provided is always a good variety
and healthy too.

My little one attend this nursery and he absolutely loves it. He is under investigation for Autism and Farcet Nursery have been incredible when it comes to supporting him and his needs. They're always coming up with ways to keep him engaged, they pay attention to his interests and even help us parents
navigate things when it comes to getting out boy the support he needs.
They're an amazing team at Farcet. So grateful for them.

It has been an absolute joy to watch my little one come out of her shell and gain confidence since she started in September. Being an only child I worried about how she would cope socially when school started, which was the biggest motivation behind starting her at Farcet Village Nursery. The staff
there are all so lovely, patient and passionate about what they do. They help the children in their care develop at their own pace with lots of fun activities and themes. My little one is a big fan of playing outside as much as possible, and she tells me that she's played outside almost every session. She's also a big bookworm, and the team at the nursery have supported this even more by sending a book home with her every couple of weeks to read at home and draw a picture about the book and describe what she liked/learnt from it to take back to nursery to share. If you're looking for a lovely little setting for your child to thrive, I would highly recommend Farcet Village Nursery.

My little boy absolutely loves going to nursery, he's made so many friends and come on so much since joining in September. The staff are amazing and are really transparent with everything. I noticed how much of a connection the staff have made with each individual child upon dropping and picking my

My son has attended this preschool for almost a year now, he absolutely loves it, he's always asking to go, even on days when he isn't in! All the staff are really friendly and approachable and the communication through the app is excellent. I would highly recommend this preschool.

If our son is happy - we are happy. We have had no worries, our son is eager to go everyday and always tells us he has had a lovely day. We are updated regularly through the app and communication is fantastic - we feel confident in sending him. He is absolutely thriving and we have full trust in the
staff - they are amazing at what they do. The range of activities they have on offer and the care they provide is amazing. Our son has shown real progress since joining! Even down to a variety of morning snacks which are provided - they cater for all dietary requirements. We couldn't recommend enough!

My son feels elated when going to school and I think the staff there are welcoming him well. My boy's socialising skills and language skills have also been improved. Getting him prepared for preschool has been one of the best decision taking on his behalf.

Both of my boys have gone to Brightfields Pre-school now and they’ve both loved it. I have always found the staff to be approachable and caring. Both of my boys have allergies which they have been excellent at managing and have happily catered to their dietary needs. We have been lucky to find such
a great provision so close to us, I would recommend to anyone in Farcet.

Both of my boys have attended Brightfields Pre-school and have thrived! My second son is currently there and is loving his time there, he always goes in and comes out with a bounce in his step and a smile on his face. All the teachers there are fantastic and so supportive. Would highly recommend!

Our son loves going to Brightfields Pre-School, he settled straight away and always comes out giggling and happy. The staff are very welcoming and approachable. Communication through the app with daily updates is fabulous and overall, is just such a lovely, happy setting.

This is a wonderful pre-school with a kind and dedicated team of people. My daughter is so happy after moving here from another setting and has grown in confidence in a short amount of time. The communication is great and there is a regular stream of pictures so you have an insight into what they have

I'm really happy that my son started the nursery in Brightfields. He has been only three times and already learnt some new skills. The nursery is a great place for learning and playing. My daughter has gone from counting to 10 to counting to 20 (with a little help). She's speaking more and pronouncing words better than before she started.

My granddaughter started at Brightfields in October, when she was 2 years old and she loves it. She is very excited every morning. The staff are very caring, friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend Brightfields Pre-School.

My daughter started in September and I can't tell you how much she loves it! The staff are lovely and caring, they go above and beyond.
Pre-school itself is such a warm and inviting place for the children to feel at ease and welcome. I can't fault Brightfields at all.
I had concerns over my daughter's
speech and they have been there every step to help and support both of us.
So lucky to have such an amazing pre-school in the village!

I took my 3 year old out of childminding and into preschool for the term before he started school. He really struggled with confidence and we wanted him to get used to an environment with more children. They brought his confidence on so much in one term that he had no problems starting big school. My
youngest now attends and again his confidence has skyrocketed. The staff are great and keep you right up to date with development ideas etc. My youngest loves going here and I would recommend it to anyone that asked.
