My child attended this nursery, and both the teachers and the nursery manager have been exceptionally supportive and caring. My daughter has made wonderful progress , her communication has improved, and she has learned many new skills. Seeing these positive changes has truly meant a lot to me. I am sincerely grateful to the entire team, and I would highly recommend this nursery.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to other parents looking for a caring, trustworthy, and well-organised setting.

We often reflect on whether our eldest should also have attended Cockleshells some years ago, as in comparison they seem to do so many things exceptionally well.

Centre Place has been an amazing nursery for my two little ones. The staff are so helpful, caring and supportive of both the children and myself. From the moment we came to view the setting it felt so welcoming and a place where children could grow in all aspects. The setting is always clean. The communication between staff and myself/family members is always clear and questions are always answered quickly/ clearly for all to understand. I have seen such growth in my children's development since they've been at centre place and it's all down to the staff and the fun activities they do each week.

Our experience with the nursery has been excellent. This is our second child attending, and having seen how much our first enjoyed it, we had no hesitation returning.

The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about the children. We feel completely at ease dropping our child off each day, knowing they are in safe hands.

The food is varied and healthy, and the nursery itself is always clean, tidy, and well maintained. There is a great range of toys, all in good condition, and the outdoor space is a real plus.

There is also a strong sense of community. Many of the staff are local and always happy to say hello outside of nursery. It is especially nice that they still remember our first child and take the time to greet them.

Overall, we would highly recommend the nursery to other parents.

My daughter has been going here for 2 years hands down the best nursery in Southend, the staff are so kind, attentive and patient my daughter loves all of them individually,they keep you up to date with what there doing, they send pictures of the activity, what snack they've had, it's also so clean the cleanliness is amazing, I've not had a single problem whilst she's been there I would 100% recommend

I couldn't be happier with this nursery. When I was choosing a nursery for my first daughter, I visited several places, but this was the one where she instantly felt comfortable and happily went off to explore on her own. That gave me such a reassuring feeling as a parent.

The staff are absolutely lovely - kind, patient, and always great at communicating. My experience was so positive with my first child that when my second daughter was ready for nursery, I didn't hesitate to bring her here as well.

I'm really grateful to the whole team for creating such a warm, safe, and caring environment for my children.

Hands down the best nursery we have come across. For us, centre place was more than just a nursery. All the staff were not only extremely professional but treated our daughter with care and affection. They went the extra mile and our daughter had a genuine connection with the team and the other children. We haven't come across another nursery where the staff aren't just doing a day job. Tara and her team were always contactable, any questions they'd respond straight away and our daughter loved it there. We hope to send our newborn there when she is old enough. There isn't anything we could fault the team and facilities on and we know we couldn't find another nursery quite like this one.

We can't thank the nursery enough for all they've done for our family. It's been such a positive experience, and we'll always look back with appreciation and fond memories. Highly, highly recommend to any parent looking for a nurturing, professional, and truly caring environment for their little one.

I was always met with happy staff which obviously makes a difference overall I really can't fault this nursery at all.

My son has additional needs and was always excited about his days here. The staff were amazing with him, really understanding of his needs and helped him massively with his progress and confidence. Staff are always happy and friendly, with good communications. Also get updates on their app about your child's day while they're there which was nice. He has now moved up into school but if Centre Place was still an option, I'd 100% have him back there as he was definitely much happier with these guys, goes to show how much they all did for him whilst he was there and how happy he was. I couldn't have picked a better nursery for him. They are the best! We miss you guys!

I highly recommend Cockleshell Nursery. I viewed several nurseries and decided to send my child to Cockleshell because of the staff who clearly care so much about the children. My daughter has built such a special bond with her key worker and the other members of the baby room. I feel that compared to other nurseries cockleshell is very good value for money. Management is great. I highly recommend Cockleshell Nursery.

My daughter has really enjoyed being at nursery. She used to go in with no problems, running up to the staff and putting her arms up for a cuddle. She has really developed whilst attending, especially with her confidence and independence. The staff and management were always helpful and approachable. I also really appreciated the use of their app and being able to see exactly how my daughter's day had been.

A wonderful place for your child. Staff have been wonderful, my grandchild has had a wonderful experience attending this nursery. She looks forward everyday to going to nursery. All the staff I have met seem kind and caring, the kids are put into a routine which helps them focus. I highly recommend this place.

He was so happy to go to school most of the time (although he can’t stand to wake up at 7 a.m. it’s perfect training for future primary school!). One of our main aims was to prepare him for primary school and Cockleshell succeeded in it 100%, now he is super positive and excited about his “big school” because he is so experienced. Thanks to all the amazing staff - highly recommend!

My little girl started at Cockleshell Nursery in January 2022 and she would get so upset about leaving me, she would scream the whole way to nursery and not want to go in. The staff at Cockleshell have been absolutely brilliant with her (and myself when I would contact them because I was worried she wouldn’t settle) and now 18 months later she has grown so much in confidence, so much so that at her school taster session she had no problem going by herself and playing and I have the staff at Cockleshell to thank for that. Thank you Cockleshell for being so amazing and genuinely caring about the children you look after.

Cockleshells is a wonderful nursery and have always been so supportive of my children's well-being and learning journey. My children get on very well with the staff and the staff are always able to tell me about new things they have done each day and how they got on. The staff are quick to identify if there could be anything to be mindful of my children's development and are very able to support their development in the best way possible.
