Sunshine Corner Nursery is run by a well-qualified, kind and caring team who make the most of indoor and outdoor learning environments in order to support positive early years learning.

The nursery offers 57 places a day and all professionals are trained to pursue key EYFS objectives.

Part of the Early Years Alliance, the nursery offers a friendly and secure approach to learning for children aged from birth to five years old.

A team of caring, friendly and qualified staff help each child develop at their own pace in a safe, friendly and fun environment and actively encourage parents to become involved in the life of the nursery.

Sunshine Corner is located in Kent, Canterbury, and was assessed as 'Good' by Ofsted on January 10th 2023.

The nursery is open from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year (closed 1 week for Christmas), excluding bank holidays and three staff training days.

What they've been up to!

The children have been celebrating World Book Day and cultural events.

Impact on children's learning

• Learning about how different cultures have different celebrations and celebrating Martisor, the beginning of Spring.
• Being creative and making their own stories for World Book Day.
• Building on fine motor skills, communication and language and developing imaginations.

The children are still extending their learning by learning how stories are written and have and have a children's author coming to visit.
We currently have been taking part in little kickers, and we have been visiting the big schools forest school.

Been so happy with our experience at sun shine corner. They have been great from us starting our little boy there last June. He loves the outdoor space that is available. They have been brilliant in supporting with a food intolerance he has. His key carer has made him moving into a nursery setting so
much easier than we expected. So pleased we managed to secure a place.

Staff have made my children so happy. All the workers make you feel very confident that you children are so well cared for.
The whole nursey is such a lovely atmosphere when you drop off and pick. They alway make you feel they are invested in your children and their happiness.

One of the best decisions we ever made, sending my first born and then her sister 2 years later. They both love attending nursery and get excited for the days they attend.
They have helped my oldest grow into the child she is now, supporting where she needs it most and preparing her for the transition
to school this year. Very accommodating for us increasing her days and feeding back developmental milestones. We cannot thank them enough, she will miss you when she goes to school.
The little one is growing in confidence with her independence, speech and physical ability. And being supported along the way with goals for achievements and any next steps. We wouldn't even consider sending them anywhere else, cannot recommend them enough.

We love Sunshine Corner it has been the best nursery for our daughter and son. Our son has really grown in confidence since going there and has some lovely friends. He has become very independent and has enjoyed his time there (he always runs in in the morning). We love the activities that our son does

We couldn't be happier with our experience and would rate this nursery as excellent. Having had two children attend, we've seen consistently outstanding care. The staff are caring, kind, and genuinely passionate, creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe and valued.
They are incredibly
supportive of the whole family, always taking time to communicate and reassure us. We especially appreciate how they include parents at every opportunity, helping build a real sense of community.
The nursery app is a fantastic tool, providing regular updates on activities, meals, and development, keeping us connected throughout the day. Activities are engaging and thoughtfully planned, helping our children grow in confidence and develop key skills.
Overall, it's a safe, stimulating place where children truly thrive, and we highly recommend it.

I cannot praise this nursery enough and I will be really sad when my youngest goes to school in September. Every single member of staff are so patient, caring, passionate and knowledgeable. My daughter absolutely loves her time at nursery. My little girl is diagnosed autistic and the staff are incredible
with her, using sign language, targeted support to meet her needs and ensuring she has the right sensory support that's needed. Their communication is fantastic and I am included in every step of her journey at nursery. Both my children went to Sunshine Corner Nursery and it is absolutely the best nursery by far!

My Grandson loves going to nursery. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The range of activities they do is wonderful . It is nice that my daughter receives constant feedback and I am able to see what activities he has done throughout the day on the family app. No wonder there is such a waiting list

Sunshine Corner is absolutely amazing. We couldn't love it more and our children couldn't love it more!! The staff are 10/10 and some of the most lovely people you'd ever meet. They really, genuinely care for our children and I know when they are there, they are with people who genuinely want to spend
time with them. They follow their interest and help to extend their learning through play. I wouldn't want to send my children anywhere else.

I have always had a good experience with Sunshine Corner Nursery. Everyone is so welcoming and kind - it's like one big family.
This is now my second child that has attended this nursery.
It's lovely to see how comfortable my child feels every day when I drop them off. All staff are incredibly nurturing
and it's clear they foster positive relationships with all the children.
Communication is always very good and I love being able to see what they have done by reading the child's progress/learning journey updates.
The team is led very well and I feel lucky to be able to have a space for my child there. Thank you Sunshine Corner Nursery.

I just want to take a moment to express how absolutely amazing Sunshine Corner Nursery is, and genuinely share my experience as a grateful parent. This wonderful place has cared for all three of my children over the years, which says a lot about the trust and affection we have for them. Now, as my youngest
is due to leave this year, I find myself feeling incredibly emotional about saying goodbye. It's not just a nursery to us; it has been a huge part of our lives, shaping and nurturing our children with so much love and dedication. The nursery staff truly show how much they care about each child. They take the time to get to know your child as an individual, understanding their unique needs as well as building a strong relationship with you as a parent.


My child's speech has developed so well, and I strongly believe that's down

to the support, encouragement, and attention they receive every day. It's so reassuring knowing they're in such a nurturing and supportive environment.


We've even moved house and still make the commute because my child loves this nursery so much, which really says it all.

Wonderful nursery. Our daughter has been going for 6 months now and is thriving, she absolutely loves it. Both our kids go to Sunshine Corner and we couldn't be happier. They both absolutely love going! The staff are incredible, they're all so kind and we know they genuinely care about our children. They do so many activities with the kids and they spend lots of time outside. Both our kids have food allergies
and they have really good policies and procedures in place to accommodate which has been so important to us.

Sunshine Corner is such a friendly and welcoming community where my granddaughter feels safe and happy. The staff ( or 'friends') really knows the children and are flexible and inclusive in their planning for each day. It's reassuring to be able to see the daily routine on the app and both my grandchildren
have enjoyed the tasty meals and snacks served up from the kitchen.
It's been a wonderful experience and a very special place for their early years.

Both my children have attended Sunshine Corner Nursery. My youngest who currently attends, loves going to nursery and always chats about her friends, the staff and the activities. The staff are always friendly and supportive. We will all miss you when you are no longer part of our day.
