Children 1st Meir Park Nursery School

Both my children have attended this nursery from 8 months old and we have been thoroughly pleased with the care they have been given! They are extremely well looked after and are always doing lots of fun activities! All the staff are wonderful. I would definitely recommend this nursery

My little boy has been attending the nursery for almost 3 years and he loves going. All the staff are amazing, friendly and professional. They make the children feel at ease and always have a welcoming smile. I've always been really impressed with the nursery, the staff and its policies. However, all the team have really outdone themselves since COVID-19. Throughout their closure, we were consistently kept up to date with in-depth emails and messages detailing exactly how they were dealing with such a crisis and what their aims were for the future. Since my child has returned to the setting in July, they have gone above and beyond ensuring the safety and well-being of all the children, as well as parents and have successfully worked through what must have been a very difficult transition. A lovely, caring staff who have a fantastic rapport with every child that I see. Would recommend it to anybody.

After lockdown, both of my children returned to nursery in July and the management have done a fantastic job in keeping all children and the staff safe. Even on the days when my eldest didn't want to go in, the staff did a fantastic job of encouraging him. I have always felt reassured leaving both of them at nursery, as they have both always thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Now that my son has started school, he still talks about the nursery and asks for toast like at nursery and even if he can go back as a 'schooly'. My 2-year-old daughter has adapted well to going back to nursery after 3 months. She's so happy every evening when we collect her, which says it all. It's hard enough having to leave your children every day to go to work, but knowing that they are so well cared for and have so much fun makes it that little bit easier. I couldn't ask for a better nursery, thanks to all the staff at Children's 1st @ Meir Park.

Very helpful and accomodating with swapping hours and day's when able. Have made returning to nursery after several months absence very easy and very welcoming.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. My little boy started in January, and I thought it would take ages for him to settle in and be comfortable and happy, within two weeks he was into the routine and was happy to be left for his full hours. The staff are so helpful, nurturing and reassuring to the children and parents! We've not been since mid-March due to lockdown, today was his first day back, and it's like he's never been away. He was so happy tonight, full of stories of his amazing day back. All the anxieties we had thins morning have just completely gone. This just demonstrates the amazing qualities the staff have and the environment within the nursery; he could go so long without having any interaction with the team, and to be left this morning, and to come home, and to have had the "best day ever! " (his words). The nursery meets every bit of his needs and more. I can not fault them in any way what so ever. It is by far exceeding my expectations all round!

The nursery is wonderful. My boy has come along so fast in the time he has been attending. The app is excellent and I enjoy my updates. They have done everything wonderful and feel safe knowing my child won't be let go of unless they hold the correct password and the staff use this also. The staff are friendly, kind, give you info on the day, happy. They are also very smartly dressed. Great nursery and one I'm happy to keep returning too. My son loves all his new nursery staff.

My son has just graduated from this nursery and all I can say is how grateful I am for the staff and their dedication to our children. My son has come out of his shell and has loved every moment of it. Can't speak highly enough of this nursery. As parents, we were so anxious but this has just been a beautiful start to his journey before big school. Thank you to everyone here.

My son has been at Meir Park nursery for over four years and I cannot recommend it enough. All staff have gone above and beyond to ensure he is happy and settled. He always comes home with lots of stories about the activities and fun he has had. I have never doubted the care he has received and I am gutted he has to leave for school. Excellent care all around.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery, she always looks forward to going and talks about her friends and staff there fondly! The manager is so friendly and helpful and leads such a great team. I have been well updated on my daughter's day when I pick her up and by the app. They provide a variety of foods and have helped to improve my fussy eater's diet. I would highly recommend them, they provide such a happy and safe place that has helped with my daughter's development and skills.

My son has just graduated from Meir Park and he has loved every minute of his time there as did my daughter when she went. I genuinely believe that they have been given the best start and have been prepared for school well. The staff are helpful, friendly and my kids absolutely adore them and have made memories to last a lifetime.

Both of my children have attended this nursery and what an amazing nursery it is, there are not enough words for how forever grateful we are that every single staff member has put 110% into helping my child/children develop, nurture and grow in confidence during their time at this incredible nursery. My daughter has finished today ready for her next venture into big school and I think I was more emotional than her, the whole team listen and take note of everything. The manager is fantastic, she really is and is supported by the most amazing team. Nothing is ever too much. We are going to miss you all a great deal. Thank you Meir Park team.

My nine-month-old baby has done one day a week to get her ready for three days a week come September. I was really worried as during Covid she has only seen me and her daddy. The carers have made her feel very at ease and really comfortable. She has naturally slotted into nursery so well. The only time she cries is when we pick her up (says more about us haha) but on a serious note, they are great there. Listen to your needs and try to stick to the way you mother your child as much as possible. Always kind and smiling too. Keep up the good work.

My two daughters have loved their time there with the second due to leave later this month. There will be tears when she leaves the place that has helped her grow and prepared her for big girl school!

From having my initial contact with Meir Park, I was very confident that my daughter would be happy there. Staff were very friendly and very interested to find out as much information about my daughter as possible to enable them to support her to settle in and to provide her with individualised care. Staff have always kept me well informed about how my daughter has been settling in and have updated her diary and Eylog which has been reassuring for us. The relaxed friendly and welcoming atmosphere at Meir Park is outstanding and I feel confident and comfortable to discuss any updates or changes in my daughter's health, growth and development.

The boys are very happy and settled in their new surroundings, and always run out of the nursery with a smile on their faces. They are developing in many ways, and it is clear they are learning through play.

My 10-month-old little boy started nursery at Meir Park at the beginning of July. We felt he needed some extra stimulation that we couldn't accommodate at home. We were impressed with how effortless it was to get my son enrolled and settled in at nursery, and this was facilitated by the lovely manager and her team of friendly staff. He absolutely adores going to nursery two mornings a week, and our only complaint is that we wish we could send him for more days! Drop off is a breeze, and we can tell that he is excited to go in and play with his friends as he barely gives us a second glance as we wave him off. In the short space, he has attended Meir Park nursery we can see that our son's development has improved dramatically in all areas, and this is testament to the incredible care and learning support that the nursery provides. The facilities at the nursery are well maintained and clean, and he is eating things that I wouldn't have even thought to give him. We will definitely be sending baby #2 here.

My son has been attending this nursery for a little over two years and I could not be happier with his progress and development. The staff are absolutely lovely and I have no complaints about the care they offer. My son absolutely loves his nursery nurses and talks about them all of the time. I don't think without this fabulous setting that he would have developed so strongly and confidently. The service is such a personal one and the manager in particular, makes sure she gets to know your child and interacts as well as all the other staff. I cannot recommend this setting more highly.

The nursery is always so welcoming and inviting and I love seeing all the activities he gets up to. I couldn’t recommend Meir Park nursery enough; they have been a massive part of helping my son grow into the big clever boy he is today!
