Children 1st Meir Park Nursery School has been refurbished to provide a bright, spacious and stimulating environment for babies, toddlers and pre-school children from birth to five years. The nursery also provides a flexible after-school club for children aged five to twelve years.

A friendly and enthusiastic team of early years staff are fully trained and experienced to give each child the best care and attention they require to meet their developmental milestones.

The nursery features age-appropriate rooms that lead onto a spacious outdoor garden which has been designed to provide a rich learning experience with carefully chosen, age-specific equipment.

A nutritionally balanced menu is provided by the on-site chef who caters for any specific dietary requirements.

The nursery also offers funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

My little boy has been going to this nursery for three months and he absolutely loves it. I was worried about leaving him but he has settled in so well, he has the biggest smile on his face when I drop him off and when I pick him up. He has come on loads with his eating since going to nursery. All the
staff are so lovely as well, when I pick him up they tell me how he's been that day, what he's had to eat etc. it is also written down in a daily diary and his development and pictures are updated on an app. I would 100% recommend this nursery and I am so glad I chose it for my little boy.

Fantastic nursery. My daughter loves coming here. The staff are so accommodating. Great activities and the outside area is such a great space. The food is healthy and freshly cooked every day. Five-star plus for us!

My child goes to Children 1st @ Meir Park Day Nursery. Wow, what can I say? The staff, facilities and standards just went over expectations, the girls are so friendly and always welcoming, making me feel at ease whilst leaving my child whilst I go to work. One member of staff, in particular, the admin
staff, she is such a bright, bubbly girl who gives the best representation of the nursery. I would recommend to any of my friends and family.

My daughter has attended Children 1st @ Meir Park Day Nursery since September 2022 and she absolutely loves it! It is so lovely to see a huge smile on our daughter's face when we pick her up every day.
The staff are amazing and keep us up to date on a daily basis with what she has eaten, when she
has slept, what she has done - a full overview of everything that she has done throughout the day. Observations are carried out and photos are added to the app allowing us to see how much fun she is having. We cannot fault this nursery and would recommend to anyone!

My little boy loves going to Children 1st @ Meir Park Day Nursery and they always make such an effort with all the children here. I feel so relieved that he has settled there and all the staff are so welcoming and make an effort to know all the children's names. I was super impressed over Christmas,
the nursery arranged a photo shoot, a visit from Santa and before the end of the Christmas break they had a Christmas dinner and we received a pack full of all his crafts and what he had been up to over the festive period. The children eat well and have plenty of snacks. We are also given a diary full of what they have been doing in the day. There is also an app that we get development updates and photos on. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone who was looking.

My little girl has attended Children 1st @ Meir Park since September and she has settled in lovely. The staff are so welcoming and always go above and beyond to make sure that she feels secure and happy in the nursery. She does a different activity each day and just in the last few months I can see

My son absolutely loves it here and his key worker. Not to mention all the staff who he comes across. He has come on leaps and bounds since being at this nursery. I trust all the staff there and feel so comfortable knowing they are caring for my son, not to mention how helpful and accommodating they
are. We know childcare costs are ridiculous everywhere but it's a lot less painful knowing you're paying for somewhere that provides the best for your little ones.

Children 1st Day Nursery is a brilliant nursery, the staff are lovely and it is nice and clean. My son is always so happy after picking him up.

My little girl's in the baby room and has been coming for four months. The staff are very switched on and always doing lots of new activities with her, tracking her development along the way. They have a fabulous online portal where you can get photos and a detailed breakdown of their day, so you always
know what they have been up to. Highly recommend.

My son absolutely loves going to nursery and I cannot believe how much his overall development has progressed since he started last year. He has a great relationship with members of staff who are constantly so supportive towards him, as they have also been to myself, often going above and beyond for

Brilliant nursery!
My 20-month-old son has only been attending for a month, however, his social interaction has begun to improve.
Staff are great, always helpful.
Absolutely love the little reports updated regularly on the app, the pictures of my son playing and learning give me great satisfaction
that sending him to Children 1st @ Meir Park Day Nursery was the best decision for him.

An amazing nursery with the most amazing staff who can't do enough for you. Always happy to help in the blink of an eye. No amount of words would express just how incredible this nursery is. Every member of staff makes you feel welcome, from her key workers to receptionists and even the cleaners - always greeting us with a smile and knowing my daughter by name. She has always eaten so well and the building smells incredible
with freshly cooked meals and it's very clean on drop-offs and pick-ups. I have never had concerns and her smiles on arrival and collection say it all. Thank you to each and every single one of you! You all work so hard to keep our little ones safe and ensure they have a great time!

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was around 18 months old. She adores all the staff and loves to go to nursery. She comes home with lots of different stories about her day. All very positive. The food is amazing (my daughter was a very fussy eater but with the nursery's different
food options it soon helped her overcome her eating problems). All-round it's a brilliant nursery to send your child to.

My little boy absolutely loves coming here. The ladies are all so lovely and very approachable should I have any queries.

My child started the nursery at 9 months old and has really come on since attending the nursery. She is nearly 3 now and her speaking and motor skills are at a high level. She has a great relationship with the staff, who are amazing, and were excellent during covid. I always have peace of mind knowing

Hi my name is Sara Allen and I am the Manager at Children 1st @ Meir Park. I qualified in 1998 and I have worked at Meir Park for over 15 years. Before I became the Manager I was Deputy Manager and also worked for 10 years in the Jemima Puddle Ducks as a senior nursery nurse. I have a wide range of experience and I have a real passion for all the children we care for but especially our under 3’s.
