Children 1st Meir Park Nursery School

Love this nursery at Meir Park Stoke. My son came from a very bad experience at another nursery and since he's been coming here, not once have I had any issues. He's come on leaps and bounds all thanks to you girls. The staff are amazing with my son, knowing what he went through previously they are very cautious, which puts my mind at ease when I go to work. I would highly recommend, 5 stars if I could give 10 stars I would!

A balance nutrition is always given each day and potty training is given to an extremely high standard.

Extremely happy with the service and caring nature of all the girls. Always very accommodating. Would recommend the nursery without a doubt to parents. The after school club, for the length of time that my son is in the nursery's care is costly. I usually pick him up by late afternoon. I would say he's only at nursery for 30 mins. A staggered rate for after school care would ensure that the nursery was competitive with other car providers, namely schools! The appearance of the nursery in recent times is a little neglected. Carpets in places and decor (stairs) need a good clean. Also, quite a pungent smell as you climb the stairs and walk on landing, almost like the drains are blocked. I wanted to be honest with my feedback and do hope this does not offend anyone. Incidentally, I do think your cleaner does the best she can considering she is usually cleaning when parents are collecting their children and this feedback is by no means a reflection on her.

Excellent childcare provided. My daughter loves attending every day! The children are always entertained with fun and interesting activities. The staff are friendly and great with communication. Every important detail is recorded in the child's diary so I know what has happened, what she's eaten and how much and if there are any problems. The staff are also very loving and my daughter trusts them. This is evident in her learning, behaviour and her happiness here.

Caring, experienced staff who are only too happy to help with any situation. I feel that my children are safe and safeguarded in the nursery. The nursery nurses make lovely connections with the children, along with the managers. The nursery staff all make you feel welcome, in all classes.

My son started off a year and a half ago doing 15 hours. We moved him to full time about 9 months later due to him asking to go by 9am when he normally only did 12.30 to 3.30. He transitioned to 9am to 3pm with ease and built strong relationships with numerous staff that he would come home talking about. He struggled with social skills and the team were very proactive in building his confidence in social settings. He is now ready for school and going through a little emotional time due to the bonds his created. The team have been supportive and flexible and we will see them at holiday club!

Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Details of my child's day, including nappy changes, meals and naps are all written down. I am kept very informed about my child's routine and development. If there is an issue with my child's behaviour, it is discussed at length - where it could have been taught and how we can teach him to change his behaviour. I feel it is a positive and safe learning environment and it is very clear that my child thoroughly enjoys being there.

We cannot praise this establishment enough. Our grandchildren have attended from an early age with various needs. Those needs have been met and our expectations exceeded at every level. Our grandchildren are rounded and happy little girls and some of that credit needs to go to the staff at the nursery. I never feel a burden when sometimes I sure that I am. The time and consideration given to our needs I am sure goes beyond any job role. Excellent excellent excellent.

This is a fantastic and supportive nursery. My son has attended for 2 and a half years. We have not had any problems. I feel secure leaving my son in their care and he loves it. The staff and management are friendly, nurturing, welcoming and supportive. At times I have asked for advice and the staff are so considerate and informative. My son has thrived at this nursery. I am very grateful for their support and care. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.
