Children 1st Meir Park Nursery School has been refurbished to provide a bright, spacious and stimulating environment for babies, toddlers and pre-school children from birth to five years. The nursery also provides a flexible after-school club for children aged five to twelve years.

A friendly and enthusiastic team of early years staff are fully trained and experienced to give each child the best care and attention they require to meet their developmental milestones.

The nursery features age-appropriate rooms that lead onto a spacious outdoor garden which has been designed to provide a rich learning experience with carefully chosen, age-specific equipment.

A nutritionally balanced menu is provided by the on-site chef who caters for any specific dietary requirements.

The nursery also offers funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Details of my child's day, including nappy changes, meals and naps are all written down. I am kept very informed about my child's routine and development. If there is an issue with my child's behaviour, it is discussed at length - where it could have been
taught and how we can teach him to change his behaviour. I feel it is a positive and safe learning environment and it is very clear that my child thoroughly enjoys being there.

We cannot praise this establishment enough. Our grandchildren have attended from an early age with various needs. Those needs have been met and our expectations exceeded at every level. Our grandchildren are rounded and happy little girls and some of that credit needs to go to the staff at the nursery.
I never feel a burden when sometimes I sure that I am. The time and consideration given to our needs I am sure goes beyond any job role. Excellent excellent excellent.

This is a fantastic and supportive nursery. My son has attended for 2 and a half years. We have not had any problems. I feel secure leaving my son in their care and he loves it. The staff and management are friendly, nurturing, welcoming and supportive. At times I have asked for advice and the staff
are so considerate and informative. My son has thrived at this nursery. I am very grateful for their support and care. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2006

Hi my name is Sara Allen and I am the Manager at Children 1st @ Meir Park. I qualified in 1998 and I have worked at Meir Park for over 15 years. Before I became the Manager I was Deputy Manager and also worked for 10 years in the Jemima Puddle Ducks as a senior nursery nurse. I have a wide range of experience and I have a real passion for all the children we care for but especially our under 3’s.
