Children 1st Meir Park Nursery School has been refurbished to provide a bright, spacious and stimulating environment for babies, toddlers and pre-school children from birth to five years. The nursery also provides a flexible after-school club for children aged five to twelve years.

A friendly and enthusiastic team of early years staff are fully trained and experienced to give each child the best care and attention they require to meet their developmental milestones.

The nursery features age-appropriate rooms that lead onto a spacious outdoor garden which has been designed to provide a rich learning experience with carefully chosen, age-specific equipment.

A nutritionally balanced menu is provided by the on-site chef who caters for any specific dietary requirements.

The nursery also offers funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

My daughter has attended Children's 1st Nursery for the last year and has enjoyed every single moment. She was 3 years old when she joined and the team have made her feel welcome and cared for ever since. She has made life long friends, which includes her teachers! Every single member of staff is polite
and cheerful with a smile on their face whenever you cross paths. The team have helped my little girl develop into a confident, independent little person in preparation for her starting "big school"! We will miss the nursery team and all they have to offer, but will be back again soon when my second little girl starts nursery in a year or so, a testament to how truly wonderful the place is. Thank you!

Our Daughters Graduation Ceremony this month was extremely emotional.
A huge event in her life to date and she was always practising her songs at home, the preparation for the children to be front and centre on the stage had taken weeks and clearly a serious commitment from the Nursery team to deliver
something extra special for the parents. The songs, the actions, the slideshow of her and her friends over the last few years made our hearts melt.
My daughter has attended this Nursery for 4 years now and its going to be an emotional day when we walk out of those doors for the last time on the 1st September. We both have known nothing else.
Our daughter is so well adjusted after attending Meir Park Nursery that her school transition days were a breeze, no fuss, no trepidation, they have been prepping her to become a 'schoolie' for months now and she walked into the school head held high and excited to see what the next chapter of her life looks like.

Our Daughter has loved the last 4 years at your nursery. I've always found the nursery to be very clean, staff are really nice and when collecting they always give an honest feedback on how she was that day.


Dropping her off i always felt secure in knowing she would be kept safe and learn lots of

fun new things daily.


She will miss Nursery and the staff, but she has been prepared for reception in the best possible way. She's confident around other children now, made lots of new friends and has a willingness to learn new things.

I can't explain how amazing Childrens 1st have been for me and my daughter. My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes while at the nursery and the staff have been phenomenal managing my daughter's condition on a daily basis, which is a lot of extra work for them, and attending training etc and
I've not once had to worry about her there.
Aside from this, the nursery is fabulous and my daughter has loved every room she has been in and all of her key workers. She's made so much progress since being there, made lots of friends and loves all of the activities they do.
I'm having another baby in August and wouldn't dream of sending them anywhere else.

We love everything about Children 1st @ Meir Park! My son first attended in January 2020 and my daughter still attends. The staff are incredible and the kids absolutely love them. What is amazing, is there is not a high turnover of staff, which is great for the children for continuity and I think that
says a lot about the environment and the company. The food and facilities are amazing. The staff are so attentive and supportive to parents. I couldn't ask for a better nursery for my children to attend and have recommended to many parents!

My son has been coming to this nursery for 2 years and we couldn't wish for a more perfect nursery, we are expecting our second child in May and have already popped their name down to start too as we cannot think of anywhere better than here to look after our children.
The staff are amazing, friendly
and so helpful with any requests we have had, skin allergies, sleep requests etc they are happy to help with anything.
The toys, books, activities the staff do with my son are amazing and we always get updated on the app with pictures and developments he has reached which is fantastic to see.
Would recommend Children 1st Meir Park to anybody looking at a nursery for their children.

My daughter started here December 2024, the experience I have had with my daughter has been nothing other than brilliant! My daughter has come on already so much development wise! A few tears in the mornings dropping her off, but the girls are amazing with her, and despite the tears, my daughter puts
her arms out to the girls in her room which I get so much comfort from. Everyone at the nursery has been so helpful with everything and made my daughters transition to a new setting so smooth for both her and us, 100% would recommend this nursery!

I am incredibly grateful for Children First Nursery at Meir Park. My son was born 8 weeks premature and has faced some developmental challenges. In the 5 months he's been at the nursery, the progress I've seen has been amazing.
As a parent with anxiety about leaving him in care, I've been reassured
by the support of the staff. They've worked closely with me to ensure his development is on track and have been proactive in addressing his unique needs.
His key worker has been exceptional, always checking in for updates and asking how they can best help him.
My son has thrived in the nursery's creative and engaging activities. e.g. they brought snow inside for the children to touch and feel. He also eats and sleeps well there, which gives me peace of mind.
I truly believe my son is getting the best start, and I'm so happy I chose Children First at Meir Park. The team has gone above and beyond to ensure he's happy, safe, and developing in the best way possible. I can't recommend this nursery enough!

My son has been attending Meir Park Nursery since he was 12 months old and all the staff that I've had interactions with and all of his key workers/apprentice girls have been fab. When he first started the nursery he was having some trouble with his sleep and they were understanding, supportive, and
reassuring and did everything they could to help which made the transition so much easier for us as a family. My only improvement would be to keep parents up to date daily via an app with more pictures/observations of the little ones. I do ring and check in every day in the afternoon to see how he has done with his sleep and his lunch, and it would be a lot easier if I could see it all updated on an app. I know he does some great activities during his time there and I'd love to see more photographs of him with his friends and partaking in the fun activities more.

My son has just finished Children 1st @ Meir Park and I couldn't have asked for a better experience for him! He's attended since he was 10 months old and is now 3 and a half and the entire team have set him up brilliantly to continue his journey in education. They are all so kind and caring, plan lovely
activities and give individuals the room to grow. Going to miss the nursery a lot!

My son has been attending this wonderful nursery since August 2022. All staff are warm, welcoming professional and friendly. All rooms are clean, bright and full of activities for the children to learn and have fun. We receive a daily diary, which I love to read and the app is updated with photos and
milestone achievements. Communication on events, funding etc is great. My son has developed since attending and he has a great relationship with his key workers. In the morning there is a breakfast basket for 'parents on the go' to use and at home time the children can collect a healthy snack, little touches like this show the nursery goes the extra mile. The food menu is amazing and my son loves to try all of the different meals on offer. Thank you Children's 1st Meir Park.

So glad we found Children 1st nearly 2 years ago now. Our son currently attends and our daughter will be starting in a few months. All staff are kind and caring ensuring children are safe while learning new things. The rooms are clean and organised with different outdoor spaces accessible and appropriate
for the respective age groups and the kitchen always has wonderful smells coming from it. Daily diary and detailed handovers from staff alongside photos and videos of learning objectives lead to a good reflection of your child's activities of the day with plenty of artwork to put on the fridge! Thank you for keeping the toddler busy, well-fed, and happy!

My son has been attending since November 2023 and has settled in really well. From our very first visit, we felt comfortable and were immediately sure that this was the right nursery for us. We didn't even visit any others! The staff are friendly and welcoming and I always feel like they know us personally.
The activities are great and we can see how much our little boy has developed already. I love to see what he's been doing each day and what delicious meals he's had. We've never had any problems and I feel confident that he's well cared for and safe. Fantastic nursery, would recommend to anyone.

Both of our children have been at Meir Park Children 1st for over 12 months now, I would recommend this nursery to everyone!
The staff are absolutely fantastic, from helping us with potty training to following our nap schedules and caring for our children like their own.
I see my children come on
in leaps and bounds from one week to the next, people can’t get over the speech of my eldest child, and that’s all down to the nursery and the way they educate and help our children develop.
Sensitive issues are always dealt with in a friendly and professional manner by all staff. We feel that our children are allowed to be themselves and express themselves when at nursery, as the end-of-day feedback on pick-up definitely relates to the personalities we see at home with our children.
The menu for the children is very varied and we’re very jealous when we see what they’ve eaten some days! I dread the day we have to leave to go to school! An amazing nursery!

Absolutely amazing nursery, from the moment I viewed the nursery I knew it was the right choice for my son. Hi my name is Sara Allen and I am the Manager at Children 1st @ Meir Park. I qualified in 1998 and I have worked at Meir Park for over 15 years. Before I became the Manager I was Deputy Manager and also worked for 10 years in the Jemima Puddle Ducks as a senior nursery nurse. I have a wide range of experience and I have a real passion for all the children we care for but especially our under 3’s.
