Outstanding in all areas. I cannot thank the team enough for how they have looked after my little boy. It is difficult as a mother having to leave the most important person to you in someone else's care, especially, when they are so young but with the team at LDA it made everything so much easier. Their
communication is excellent and it leaves us in no doubt that our child is living his best life during the day! He holds his arms out every morning to the member of staff who comes to the door with a big smile on his face. What more can a mother ask for.

Really satisfied with the nursery , the teachers, staff and the learning methods
I am happy with the way the connection with the kids and care about them . I would like to pay more attention at kids drinking more water and encourage them to drink more . Also, can push them on eating the food more ,
either encouraging or offering other alternatives. The menu stand has to be changed accordingly and give the parents the opportunity to know the food option the offer to the kids .

Excellent care. The nursery is more like a little school than a nursery setting (my children have been in a typical chain nursery setting previously) they have both come on tremendously academically which will leave them very well prepared for school.
They also focus on other useful practical life
skills before school starts like zipping up coats, toileting etc.
There is excellent structure, and the teaching methods seem to create good academic outcomes.
This is not an easy going play group type of environment. There is a strong focus on literacy , reading, writing and maths in core school hours (core hours are 9-3). This amount of structure and focus will suit some kids more than others, especially at the little age of 2.
Overall absolutely excellent. I would not send my child anywhere else!
My only worry is once my child came home with a burn and neither my child or the school could explain where it had come from. The school didn't follow up.

My overall experience with the nursery has been positive. The staff are kind, caring, and clearly dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for the children. My child has settled in well and enjoys attending, which gives me confidence in the team and their approach to early years care.
Recently,
I raised a concern about the cleanliness standards, as I felt some areas could be improved. I was very pleased with how professionally the nursery responded. They acknowledged my feedback promptly and took clear, practical steps to address the matter. I received a detailed follow-up explaining the new cleaning routines and improvements being implemented, which reassured me that my concerns were taken seriously.
It's clear that the nursery values communication with parents and is open to constructive feedback. I appreciate their commitment to continuous improvement and to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming space for the children.
Overall, I'm happy with the care and attention

We absolutely love Little Downsend Ashtead! From the very beginning, the team has made our family feel so welcome and supported. Our children are genuinely happy every day, coming home smiling and full of stories, and excited to go back the next morning.
The staff are caring, attentive and truly invested
in each child's development. A lot of effort goes into creating a nurturing, stimulating environment, where we feel completely confident our children are well cared for and are encouraged to grow in confidence and curiosity.
We couldn't ask for a better star to their educational journey! Thank you, Little Downsend!

We have absolutely loved our nursery experience at Little Downsend. Both of our daughters have spent their pre school years there and we have nothing but positive memories. The level of care and kindness is second to none, and the quality of teaching is fantastic. The staff really get to know each child,
and take the time to work with them individually. It's the best possible environment you could hope for!

Little Downsend Leatherhead provided a truly exceptional transition for our little girl when we decided to switch from a childminder to a more structured nursery setting. We were blown away by the attentiveness and nurturing nature of the teachers, and very quickly our little girl began to flourish
in her new setting. We've now been with the nursery for 1.5 years, and would love nothing more than to stay on for Reception. Sadly it's not financially viable for us, but we feel great knowing we've given her such an excellent intro to what 'big school' will be like. They've really set her up for success, and have gone to great lengths to make learning engaging through clever, intentional play that means she hasn't even cottoned onto the fact that she's learning important stuff. Our funniest and most impressive highlight so far was when our little girl got down from the dinner table and whispered in my ear that 'Wassily Kandinsky is a famous artist' - I'll remember that one for a long time!

We have been attending Kings Nursery for the last 5 years. The "themed" weeks in diamond room and the activities are so well thought out and engaging for the children, the staff are all brilliant and as are the weekly updates we have been getting with photos and comments specific to our child.
Our
little boy has been quite shy during his time in Nursery but is really coming out of his shell in this new room, despite only being in there for a few weeks. The team are doing an exceptional job!
Reply from Marcus Batten, Registrar at King's School & NurseryThank you so much for your lovely feedback about Kings Nursery. It truly means a lot to the whole team to hear that you and your family have had such a positive experience with us over the past five years.
Were especially pleased to hear how much your little boy is enjoying his time in Diamond Room and that the themed weeks and activities are engaging him. Supporting children to grow in confidence is so important to us, so its wonderful to know he is coming out of his shell and settling in so well.
Well be sure to pass your kind words on to the staff they will be absolutely delighted. Thank you again for taking the time to share this, and for trusting us with your childs early years.

We honestly do not know how to fully express our gratitude for everything you have done for our daughter over the past year. She has now been with you for more than twelve months, and throughout that time you have supported her in countless ways.
When we first enrolled her, we had a small worry because
we are not originally from the UK. We were unsure how everything would feel for us and for her. Looking back, that worry seems so unnecessary. From the very beginning, every member of staff has treated us with warmth, kindness and complete respect. We have always felt included, supported and valued as a family.
Most importantly, our daughter is happy. She feels safe, confident and loved in your care, and that is the greatest gift any parent can ask for.
Thank you for your professionalism, your compassion, and for the genuine care you show every day. We are deeply grateful to each and every one of you. (Wish I can mention everyone' name, special thanks to Ka, Co, La, Ro). xx

Choosing Kings was the absolute best decision for our family and for our little boy! We've seen the care that goes into the nursery rooms, from our initial visit and it continued into the settling in sessions, the first period in Ruby and then, now in Saphire. The staff are fantastic, the facilities
are great, but the activities are absolutely amazing! As parents, we see the effort that goes into the daily activites, we appreciate so much the care for each individual child, the one on one time, the learning process and how fun nursery is for our little boy! We also appreciate the communication with the parents, the food is fantastic, absolutely nothing to fault! We also love the security of the facility, it's incredible to feel at peace, knowing your child is safe and so well taken care of. Thank you Kings!

Colchester Prep & High School Nursery has been absolutely brilliant for my son. He joined when he was 2.5years old after having an accident at another nursery. Karen, Anita and Poppy have gone above and beyond for him from day one, offering support with everything from making sure he eats well and helping
with his speech development. He really loves going there, and has a really lovely bond with all the teachers and support staff who I know really care about him. All the activities and extra work they do on writing and phonics is amazing and I know he'll be confident and happy to start school in September.
The space itself is great, lots of space to run around and great interactive toys and play areas. We had a few choices of where he could go to nursery and I'm so pleased that we chose this nursery, we feel very lucky for the care and development we know he is getting there and know that he is incredibly well looked after and safe.
Reply from Sharon Wilson, Admin at Colchester Prep & High School NurseryThank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear how happy and settled your son is at our nursery. It means a great deal to know that the care, support, and encouragement he has received have helped build his confidence and development, especially as he prepares to start school in September.

Both our children have attended Colchester Prep and High School Nursery and we recommend it to everyone we know! Since our eldest started in 2024 we have been so impressed by the care and expertise of the staff in ensuring our girls felt comfortable and supported. We had no hesitation in sending in
our youngest as soon as she turned 2, both girls have thrived here. Compared to other settings we have experienced the staff are all highly experienced and conscientious to ensure that the children are not only cared for, and provided with safe playing and learning environments, but stimulated with excellent learning activities, ranging from dance, PE and outdoor exploration in Forest School, through to Phonics, handwriting and learning languages and culture. Our eldest was extremely well prepared for starting school and still loves to come back to visit the staff. Excellent site and resources. Couldn't be happier!

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Louis' nursery. His dad was Head Boy there in 2018, so when we had a little boy of our own, we knew exactly where we wanted him to go - and the nursery has more than lived up to our expectations.
The care, attention and genuine warmth the staff show Louis
every day is incredible. He is only 2 and the baby of his class, yet he is supported so confidently and thoughtfully. The team have been amazing with potty training, working closely with us and making the process positive and stress-free. His speech has come on so much, and it's been lovely to see his confidence grow.
We also have a little girl, Florence, who is 1 and will be joining when she turns 2. Seeing how well Louis is cared for gives us complete confidence for her too. Our nephew is currently in Year 5 at the school, which really shows what an amazing place this is to grow and learn.
Communication is excellent, the environment is welcoming, and the staff are truly passionate.
Reply from Sharon Wilson, Social Media & Comms Coordinator at Colchester Prep & High School NurseryThank you so much for your wonderful feedback. It is incredibly rewarding for our team to know that our care, support, and attention are making a real difference, from confidence and speech development to making milestones like potty training a positive experience. We are also thrilled to hear that your experience gives you confidence for Florence joining us in the future. Knowing that families across generations continue to trust and value our school is incredibly special.
