Our daughter has been at breaside in preschool for a year now. The staff is lovely and caring, which has helped our daughter to flourish, develop her own personality and interests.
She is very good at counting and has started to write letters. She is also more confident with physical activities and
enjoys participating at different sports now.
Reply from Nicole Owen, Early Years Lead at Breaside Preparatory SchoolThank you so much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that your daughter has had such a positive experience in Pre Prep. It's wonderful to know she is flourishing, growing in confidence, and developing her interests both academically and physically. Maths and Phonics lessons are tailored to give the children a great foundation as they then move up in the school. In Pre Prep the children get to experience indoor and outdoor PE lessons, Sports Day as well as swimming lessons too. Our staff are dedicated to create a nurturing and supportive environment, and it's rewarding to see that reflected in her progress.

Breaside is a great starting point for children. The structure that is in place, ensures the kids are setup for their academic journey as well as outside the classroom. Would highly recommend this school.

Breaside Preparatory School is a wonderful school and our two children have been extremely happy here. Our daughter has just completed a year in kindergarten which she has enjoyed enormously. Every day is filled with fun activities together with educational early learning all delivered with both warmth
and encouragement by the teachers and teaching assistants.
Our son, who is now 7, has transformed from being somewhat shy and difficult into an extremely confident and happy little boy, well advanced in reading, writing, maths and English, with confidence to speak in public, has learned to play the trumpet, loves after school football club and has been given an amazing knowledge and understanding of the world at such a young age.
From kindergarten onwards, the children enjoy a first-class education in a warm and nurturing environment, all delivered by the excellent array of teachers and spearheaded by the outstanding principal. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our children.
Reply from Nicole Owen, Early Years Lead at Breaside Preparatory SchoolThank you so much for your kind review. Outstanding academics as well as extremely nurturing environment. We have been delighted with the service provided by this school for my son who has joined as a clingy little boy and has now become a confident 7-year-old achieving excellent results across academic subjects, music and sports. Strongly
recommend also for little ones, my daughter is currently in kindergarten and the range of fun learning activities as well as care received is exceptional.
Reply from Nicole Owen, Early Years Lead at Breaside Preparatory SchoolThank you for your wonderful feedback. We believe our nurturing environment and the care from each teacher is what allows the children to settle so well into school life and access the curriculum we provide. We are so pleased that both of your children have enjoyed and benefited from the Early Years here at Breaside.

I think Breaside Preparatory School has been an excellent experience not only for my son but also for us, as parents. We have never had such an interactive connection with any other schools in the past, even when we were growing up.
I just feel that there should be more sports clubs (rugby, hockey,
cricket, football and basketball) available at the school from kindergarten onwards.
Reply from Nicole Owen, Early Years Lead at Breaside Preparatory SchoolWe are delighted to hear that Breaside has been such a positive experience for you as well as your son. We believe the Early Years is such an important time to lay down the foundations of learning and we pride ourselves on ensuring each child's individual needs are met. Thank you for highlighting the need for more sports, we are pleased to say that we will now have an after-school club, with a range of sports available, starting this September that will be available to Kindergarten and Pre Prep.

Breaside is a very warm and caring educational setting that provides my child with the right environment to learn and thrive.
Over the past six months, my child has evolved from being reserved at school and sometimes hesitant to go in, to now being happy, chatty with his friends and teachers, and
eager to attend school. This is attributable to the warmth of the staff, particularly the Early Years Team, who patiently engage my child in various fun learning activities that help improve my child's physical, emotional, social, and mental health.
Reply from Nicole Owen, Early Years Lead at Breaside Preparatory SchoolThank you for your wonderful and positive review. Breaside's early years provisions have been absolutely incredible for my little girl. The teachers and one-to-one support received are second to none, fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment for a diverse range of children. My daughter has learned so much, academically, socially, and emotionally,
and has truly flourished here.
Teachers pay close attention to children and their progress, knowing when to extend the challenge level and when to cement more entry-level concepts. I am so grateful they have given her such an amazing start in life; learning to read by age 4, fostering a love of French and Spanish languages, providing an introduction to yoga, and encouraging her love of art and sports. I truly believe no other nursery environment could have given her so much and I can't wait to see where she goes from here!
Reply from Nicole Owen, Early Years Lead at Breaside Preparatory SchoolThank you so much for such amazing feedback. We pride ourselves on knowing each child individually and how to secure and extend their learning, thank you for acknowledging this along with the specialist lessons we provide.

My son has been with the nursery for about 2.5 years. My older son was also in the nursery for about 1 year before he started school.
I have been very happy with all aspects of the nursery. Friendly and consistent staff, no major turnaround in staff which is great because this is what was happening
at our previous nursery. My sons were able to develop good relationships with their carers. The outdoor space is great, especially the preschool space. Food options are good. Overall my sons were very happy and so were my husband and I.

During his first year in the nursery class, Charter House Square School has provided our son the happiest, safe, and nurturing learning environment, we couldn't have asked for more.
He's learned to read books independently, is confident to write birthday cards, and talks to us enthusiastically about
his days with his friends and teachers, "Momma, did you know the sun is bigger than the earth and gives us lots of energy?!".
The range of lessons and activities is fantastic, not only is there numeracy and phonics, but music, dance, drama, and Spanish! Incredible for 4yo's!
A shout out to all the 'buddies' in the upper years who help the nursery year settle in, thank you, you've been an amazing support and set a brilliant example to them.
Also the fantastic Club House Team, our son loves going after school and during the holidays.
We're so happy with the school and excited for the next year in Reception.

Although this is technically a nursery due to the age of the children, it is very much part of the school's ethos and learning.
The children are expected to learn, although there is time for play.
There is a strong emphasis on numeracy and phonics. The curriculum and expectations are in keeping
with what you would find in a reception class. I say this at the start so parents have realistic expectations.
That being said, the teachers (there are two and a TA for each class) are very clued up and individualise the learning for my child. They have clearly thought about her strengths and weaknesses and how to help her develop. We are at the end of the first year and my daughter has come on in leaps and bounds. They have pushed her but have been sensitive to her needs. This has provided her with an excellent foundation for the future. It is expensive compared to other nurseries but I think it has been worth the money.
As it is a school, be aware that holiday cover is limited.
