Having completed a degree in Early Childhood Studies and a PGCE in Primary Education, I joined Quinton House School as Head of Early Years in 2013. I work closely with the Nursery team to ensure the children in our setting have the best start to their education journey. As an Early Years teacher I enjoy planning activities which enable me to bring the children’s learning to life. I am particularly interested in developing early reading and writing opportunities through play and supporting children to recreate their experiences through small world and role play activities.
Each week I work with the Nursery children to develop their fine motor skills. During our Happy Hands lessons children complete a range of activities to strengthen the muscles in their fingers and hands to develop their dexterity including an effective pencil grip.
In 2017 I took on the additional role of Head of Key Stage 1. This allows me to oversea the education of the children aged 3-7years and ensure a smooth transition through these important years of early education.
I am Mrs Kinross I am the Manager of Quinton House Nursery. I am proud to say that I am now the Manager of Quinton House Nursery and enjoy working alongside my team as we are working to continuously develop our Nursery.
Over the years I have followed my passion for Speech and Language and have attained many courses relating to this area of development in young children.

During my week, I love taking the children outside in our nature garden and allotment plot to explore the world around them.

My favourite things at Nursery are reading stories and singing although I also lead our P.E. sessions each week as well as our topic group times where we talk and explore our current learning focus.
Hello, I am Mrs Gillespie, and I am a part of the Nursery team at Quinton House School. I first started working with children 4 years ago when I began my Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce qualification. Since then, I have enjoyed extending my knowledge within childcare and education by attending small courses. I love using the knowledge that I have learned to support children and their development.
I have a keen interest in arts, including messy play, creating masterpieces and even singing and dancing. I really enjoy taking the children to Forest School, exploring our surroundings and discussing the world around us as well as leading the music and storytelling sessions.
