Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill

Since my granddaughter's arrival in Sept '24 she has developed enormously and I believe the Nursery has made a big contribution to this. She is happy, comfortable and confident at nursery, even in times of transition and I think this speaks to the excellent relationships the teams have with the children.

I am delighted with the transition support Erin has received on moving upstairs with toddlers. Staff are very well equipped to deal with all aspects of the children's sense of dis-equilibrium. The attention that has recently been focused on the physical environment, both indoor + outside, is very pleasing. The range of evidence of contextually relevant + developmentally appropriate stimuli + experiences makes every day interesting, fun + challenging for Erin. Staff involvement in the charity + Halloween events were a real triumph. Fab to see the effort to be really inclusive.

Everything is really well thought out - from the food menu to the activities and the structure of the day, we really pleased to have chosen this nursery.

My little boy has come on great since starting at nursery. The staff were very understanding of his shy personality. I can see from their interactions with other children that they personal and adapt to that child's personal needs. All of the staff are great and the graduation was very emotional. So much effort put in.

My little boy is coming to the end of his time at Billy Mill and I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions we could have made sending him here. He has thrived SO much. You can tell that every single staff member, at every single stage of your child's journey, genuinely cares. He has made connections with one or two in particular and those staff almost feel like an extended family member! The office management team, cooks and maintenance staff also develop close bonds with the children, it really is one big team and we are going to miss everyone so, so much when it's time to start the next chapter of school!

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this nursery. They do so many additional activities and never, ever ask you for a single penny more than what you pay in your fees. My son loves going into nursery, he settled so quickly and they have totally nurtured him from when he joined at 14mths old. I'm genuinely so sad our journey is coming to an end :

We are very happy we enrolled our son here, he has come on so well since starting. We have seen a lovely improvement in his development. He really enjoys his days there and is always smiling and waving at the staff. They always keep us updated on everything that is going on. We have no worries whilst he is there, as we know he is being well taken care of and having the best time.

Everything about Tynemouth Billy Mill Nursery is excellent. From the moment we walked in we knew this was a special place. The staff are all incredibly warm, nurturing, dedicated and truly care about our son. They go above and beyond to ensure every child feels safe, loved and stimulated in their learning and development. I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a nurturing and caring environment for their little one!

We have been using this nursery for a while now and our child loves it! The staff and facilities are fantastic. Plenty of stuff to do and a very nice menu so every day is different. I would highly recommend this place for your little one.

My little boy started nursery in September 2024 at 10 months old and he loves it. He took some time getting settled at hand over, but the girls were all so patient with him and he very quickly had his favourites. The updates on the app are brilliant and really put you at ease that they are being well looked after. Would highly recommend them.

My daughter has been attending Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill for almost a year and all of the staff have been great at helping her settle in. She loves her key worker and she has formed a lovely relationship with the rest of the staff too. She always eats all of her meals which shows the cooking must be better than mine! The nursery have been very accommodating and flexible with me when I have needed to move dates around to fit in with work too.

My child was a very shy, quiet, not talkative and played by himself the majority of the time. Started in September, he's now talking nonstop, he's playing with friends, he is no longer the shy little boy he once was. Nursery is also helping with his toilet training which is going amazing.

I can't praise the staff at Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill highly enough! Our daughter has been here for over 1 year and has really thrived. She of course has had some times of being unsettled and getting used to nursery or moving rooms but this has been handled so well with such love and care. We've loved seeing the friendships she's made with her classmates and the staff who feel like an extended part of the family! Everyone within the organisation is really kind and helpful especially with dealing with funding forms etc. The activities for the children are fantastic and they often have external providers come in to provide special sessions. I know we definitely made the right choice of nursery for our child and look forward to seeing her continue to develop into the lovely little kind girl she is!

My son is having an amazing time at nursery, he has come on really well, and now is even happy to leave me on his day at nursery. If we had the funds available, we would have him in more days, that's how good it is. I would especially like to recommend his key worker, she is amazing and very kind, and my son loves her.

The only negative would be is the children aren't always encouraged to wear aprons when doing painting/messy play so their clothes can become very dirty and marked! When questioned about this they said they only had 5 aprons, could more be ordered?

Our child loves attending nursery and we love him attending, getting him ready for the transition to big school. Thank you so much to each and every one of you, you all do an amazing job!

Great nursery, so pleased with the progress of my daughter since she's been going there. The staff are lovely and the communication is really good with updates of what she's been up to each day and detailed reports on what she's learning. I've been really impressed with some of the activities they arrange including inviting people from outside to run classes with the kids, my daughter clearly loves it.

We've recently moved to the nursery after a negative experience with another one and it's worlds apart! It's clear how passionate the staff all are about their work and it has such a homely, safe vibe. Our little one loves going in and always comes home happy. The extra activities from external providers and even pony rides are amazing too!

Since our son started at the nursery, he has come on so much. He clearly enjoys being there and is obviously very well cared for. The staff are amazing, friendly and very supportive. The environment is so relaxed and it just feels like we are leaving him in a family home. It's a fantastic nursery!

Both of my children love attending the setting and I would and have recommended the nursery to friends.
