Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill

They always come home happy and can't wait to go back.

My two little girls have come to this nursery since they were both babies. They settled straight away and I was happy to leave them with the lovely nursery staff as they make you feel comfortable, welcome and reassure you that your child will be in good hands. They both have learnt so much from this nursery and I will be sad when my youngest leaves next year for school. I would definitely recommend this nursery if you want your child to feel safe and happy - to meet their needs this is the place to put them.

The nursery was also able to fit my little one into the nursery at the same time which has been a godsend. It is so difficult to find childcare for two kids of different ages. It has really helped me out massively this summer. My smallest son has really enjoyed the nursery and has enjoyed being able to spend time with his brother too. The range of activities that he has been involved in has also been excellent. I can't recommend this nursery highly enough.

My oldest daughter came to this nursery from 8 months old and I could not recommend anywhere that lives up to the standards of Tynemouth nursery. We were overjoyed when they started the holiday club and now both my girls love coming to see what activities and adventures they have in store for them, from days out to professional workshops going into the nursery. All meals from breakfast to lunch and tea including snacks throughout the day included in the price. We travel around 5 miles to and from the setting rather than one closer to home as it’s the best nursery around from nutritious home-cooked food, security system, outdoor area, day trips out, messy play, professional workshops, learning French and amazing caring, friendly staff who have watched my children grow from 8 months to 8 years and hopefully a few more years.

My daughters both love this nursery and tell me all the great activities they have been doing while I have been to work, we have used this nursery now and the holiday club for 8 years this month. It’s great how the staff have watched and helped my children grow and develop from 8 months and the great friendship they have, they can’t wait for school holidays so they can see the staff and friends. Many thanks for caring for my children over the past years (and coming years).

Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill is a fantastic nursery, my son absolutely loved his time there and is sad to leave, I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone, extremely friendly and caring staff and high quality of care,

My son attends the holiday club at this nursery. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and helped my son settle in well and make new friends as he didn’t know any other children when starting. The holiday club provides a great range of activities from different entertainment coming in, to going on trips out. My son absolutely loves it and is always coming home with different stories and even wanting to go back the next day which always makes it easier! I would 100% recommend as it is great value for money as I know other holiday clubs can be quite pricey.

This nursery is fantastic. My daughter loved her time here. Everyone that works here is so caring and goes the extra mile for all the children. It's like a little family and that is exactly what I wanted for my daughter. It made leaving her so much easier as I knew she was comfortable and safe. The food they are provided is fab and all the extra activities they provide are brilliant, my daughter loved her French lessons and jitterbugs. The staff have brought my daughter on leaps and bounds with her confidence, speech, concentration and she has learned so much. She surprises me every day with new things she has learned. She is going to miss this nursery but they have given her the best foundation to start school life. I can't thank Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill enough!

Tynemouth Nursery has been a fantastic environment for my son to flourish in! The staff are fantastic, friendly and very approachable and my son developed very good relationships with all of the staff in general and his key workers in particular. My son has enjoyed a wide range of activities over his time at Tynemouth including jitterbugs, french and football, all of which he enjoyed as well as the many other well thought out and well-implemented activities that the staff provide for the children. I am confident that my son's time spent at Tynemouth Nursery will stand him in very good stead when he moves onto school nursery in September and I would highly recommend the nursery to others.

My son is also a fussy eater and the chef has gone above and beyond to cater for my son’s needs. They have even managed to get my son to try certain foods which he loves now!

My son has attended the nursery since he was 9 months old, he's now 3 and a half and will be staying for preschool. The nursery is a friendly welcoming environment and the staff are lovely. Progress of my child's learning and development can be tracked through an online journal which is very informative. The nursery provides plenty of fun learning activities for the children and the newly refurbished garden is a great addition to the outside space providing a fun and safe place for the children to play. I'd recommend the nursery without a doubt.

We noticed from the start that her development is aided by her days at nursery. Her motor function and speech have both come along quicker and the sing and sign is a great bonus which she loves to do. We are so happy with the nursery that we intend on sending her younger sister too when I return to work.

Lovely small, homely nursery. Staff are friendly and caring. Children's toilets and outside play area need attention. Plus would like to see more varied learning activities.

My daughter has attended Tynemouth Nursery at North Shields for the past 2 years. When I was first offered a place I had extreme separation anxiety and wouldn't allow any person to look after her. They accommodated my need to settle her in properly over 6 weeks. Since then she has settled and loves her key worker this year and loved her key worker last year. Both ladies helped with the morning routine. Sometimes it was easy, most recently she finds it difficult and becomes upset. I feel okay leaving as they reassure me that she settles quickly. The girls are that fab that I no longer have separation anxiety and leave happy that my daughter is most definitely going to be okay. I never thought I'd get to that point. Her learning and behaviour have both come on so much. I'm happy that she has a set of skills to start Reception in September.

I have known of this nursery for years and have had good experiences in the past; from being a student on placement there years ago and more recently being a student at the college again. I have seen how they conduct themselves within a college environment and vice versa, and how they work together for the children and students alike. Therefore, when I had my own children there was only one choice for me. Tynemouth Nursery at the college. All of the rooms are large enough for the children to play and explore, and I have never seen a better garden and outdoor area for them. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming and will help with any enquiries you have. The security is excellent as you require fingerprint recognition to gain access. Please give this nursery a visit before you make a final decision for your babies.

Everyone is so keen to help. And there is always a friendly face each and every morning. These girls go above and beyond to put you at ease about your child, and if there's any help, they are there. My son's individual needs have been looked after and met and I couldn't be any happier that we chose this nursery to place our youngest.

Caring and friendly staff. Clean and tidy nursery for babies to older children. Lovely outside garden area with lots of play and interactive things for all ages. Wide variety of meals. My little girl loves it here. They provide a great professional service and would recommend anyone to join this nursery. They take great care in looking after my child and are always easy to contact if there are any issues.

I was a little worried about my daughter starting nursery. She was very quiet and did not talk at all around people she didn't know. The girls in the nursery were absolutely brilliant with her and within weeks, she was talking and had made a lot of friends. She comes home every night full of stories about what she has done that day and can't wait to get back the next day! The nursery uses a digital learning book so we get sent regular observations and can upload our own. They also have things such as jitterbugs and French lessons which she enjoys. I can't thank the staff enough as my daughter is coming on leaps and bounds and is full of confidence now!

Amazing nursery! My son has been going for 1 and a half years now and he has made great friends and is learning more each day. The staff are all lovely and are very invested in all the children. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

My little girl is very happy here and has been from the start. All staff are helpful and friendly. Facilities are very good and the food menu is great.
