Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill is prominently and conveniently located at the end of the Coast Road. In December 2021 the nursery was judged Outstanding by its Ofsted inspection.

The building was originally two substantial semi-detached houses and together now it forms a lovely sized nursery with Tynemouth's unique homely feel.

With fantastic homely rooms and a large outdoor play area Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill, recently refurbished and re-equipped in 2020, offers a catalyst of activities to enable children to learn through play and fulfil their full potential. Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill now incorporates a forest school nursery headed up by a fully qualified forest school teacher.

The nursery is proud to have the prestigious Millie's Mark accreditation awarded in 2018, having this award demonstrates the nursery's commitment to going above and beyond the minimum requirements for keeping children safe.

All staff working directly with children not only hold a paediatric first aid certificate but are also competent in how to apply this in practice.

Caring and friendly staff. Clean and tidy nursery for babies to older children. Lovely outside garden area with lots of play and interactive things for all ages. Wide variety of meals. My little girl loves it here. They provide a great professional service and would recommend anyone to join this nursery.
They take great care in looking after my child and are always easy to contact if there are any issues.

I was a little worried about my daughter starting nursery. She was very quiet and did not talk at all around people she didn't know. The girls in the nursery were absolutely brilliant with her and within weeks, she was talking and had made a lot of friends. She comes home every night full of stories
about what she has done that day and can't wait to get back the next day! The nursery uses a digital learning book so we get sent regular observations and can upload our own. They also have things such as jitterbugs and French lessons which she enjoys. I can't thank the staff enough as my daughter is coming on leaps and bounds and is full of confidence now!

Amazing nursery! My son has been going for 1 and a half years now and he has made great friends and is learning more each day. The staff are all lovely and are very invested in all the children. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

My son has attended the nurseries for the last two years, he is so settled and the staff are fantastic. He has a great bond with his key worker and the activities they provide are experiences he would not normally experience at home. They have so many lovely parents activities from going home books
to inviting us into the setting to have stay and play sessions and to enjoy meal times together.
Meals that they provide are tasty and healthy with odd treat for the children to enjoy.
Staff are very forthcoming with how his day has been and encourage him to tell me what he's been doing. My son can't wait to come to nursery, so much so we upped the number of sessions he attended. The staff are so caring and have the children's best interest at heart of everything they do.
The nursery uses electronic learning journey which I can access to see things he's been doing and for us upload special moments from home.
I couldn't recommend this nursery enough.
