Tynemouth Nursery Group and Zone4kids are very special, known and respected throughout North Tyneside and Newcastle upon Tyne. They pride themselves in providing a truly homely feel for the children.

This locally owned chain has seven settings, with its highly qualified team offering the very best in childcare and ensuring every child receives considerable individual attention to achieve their full potential. Each Nursery has recently been fully refurbished and re-equipped (2018).

Investment has been made in digital learning journals and in 2018 they were the first group in the North East to achieve the prestigious Millie's Mark award in all of their settings!

The settings are warm and very friendly and children are encouraged to be independent and learn resilience. Staff at their nurseries give them a love of learning which will sustain them throughout life. With numerous activities such as football, yoga, sing & sign, French etc., there is a wealth of learning opportunities to make sure children can reach their full potential.

All food is sourced locally with all meat delivered by local butchers. The chefs prepare and cook meals on site and are proud of their healthy and varied diet.

I couldn't be happier with how my daughter is progressing at Tynemouth Nursery. The staff are incredibly kind, caring and attentive, and my daughter settled in so quickly thanks to the warm and welcoming environment they create.


Every key worker she has had has built such a lovely bond with her, which

has been so reassuring as a parent. They have supported her through so many important milestones, from learning to crawl and walk to supporting her with potty training.


They also helped prepare her for the arrival of her baby sister, which meant so much to our family and made the transition really positive for her.


The team truly go above and beyond. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent. My 2nd daughter will be starting this year and after my first experience with Tynemouth Nursery I have absolutely no worries this time around about how she will settle in.

We love Tynemouth Nursery Jesmond. Our middle child attends currently, our eldest used to attend but has now 'graduated' and our third will be starting September. There is a beautiful community feel to the nursery. Every staff member knows every child by name - they even greet my eldest by name who
left last year, and my baby by name who hasn't even started yet!

Both of my girls have been to this nursery and absolutely loved it, that is testament to The staff, the atmosphere, the care and attention is second to none. Highly recommend!
The extra activities they provide are also a huge draw to why the children love this so much. It is so much more than a nursery!

Both my boys go to this nursery and the amount of effort all the staff put in is amazing. For Christmas there were parties and photoshoots and my eldest who is in the preschool room had days out including panto. They also did a little Christmas performance for the parents.
My youngest has settled
in so well in the last 6 months and I really feel like they've made a great connection with him.

My daughter started in the Catterpillar room in January 2026 and is thriving! She has been encouraged to crawl, stand, walk and talk and has come on leaps and bounds. Zoe and Adam take fabulous care of her and have a lovely, natural way with her. We're delighted with Tynemouth nursery so far!

We couldn't be happier with the care our 10-month-old receives at this nursery. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, which has made such a difference in helping our child feel safe, settled, and happy. They take the time to understand each child's individual needs and always
communicate clearly and reassuringly with us as parents. It's obvious how much pride they take in their work, and it's comforting to know our baby is being looked after by such a dedicated and nurturing team. We feel very lucky to be part of such a wonderful nursery.

The staff at Tynemouth Nursery (Preston Avenue) are lovely with our son and he really does love coming to nursery three times a week. He has come on so much with the help of all of the well planned activities that take place each and every day. We are so pleased to be able to drop him off at 7:30am
as many other nurseries in the area do not allow this. Overall, we would highly recommend the nursery.

We highly recommend Tynemouth Nursery at Billy Mill. Our little boy has been going since he had just turned one. We viewed so many nurseries but chose Billy Mill as the staff were so welcoming and the setting felt homely and warm. Since being there our little boy has flourished and has become so sociable
which is lovely. The staff have always been so kind and caring and offer a fantastic range of activities and experiences for the children. They work so hard and it definitely shows. My little boy is always so excited to go into nursery to see his friends and the staff which as a mammy makes me confident they are doing a really good job at looking after him.

Couldn't reccomend this nursery enough. All the staff are amazing, my daughter is usually shy to start off with but has an amazing day everytime at nursery. Puts me at ease as a parent knowing she's well looked after and having a fun filled day. Updates on the app throughout the day to be kept update
with pictures. I've got no faults and appreciate everything they do for my child.

We can't thank the staff enough for how much they've helped our childs development and confidence. Our Sons keyworker is excellent and the bond they have is demonstrated by how much he talks about her at home, but he also does with all of the girls in the team and it shows how happy and content he is
with them all. Staff all respond to any concerns quickly and effectively, and we really appreciate the genuine care and affection that is shown. The variation in activities and food is consistently excellent.

The best decision I made choosing Tynemouth nursery for my little girl. The staff are all incredible at what they do, always going above & beyond. Absolutely outstanding nursery my daughter had quite a range of health challenges and was on 24 hour oxygen and feeding problems, the staff from kitchen to room staff to management made sure they done all the necessary training and more to be able to take the best care of her they have and are still
