The recently refurbished Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Newbiggin makes you feel like you've gained new family members when you meet their friendly, approachable team at their purpose-built, all-on-one level nursery.

Their ParentZone app keeps parents informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals are eaten and even toilet training progress! They are big on safety which is why all their staff are Paediatric first aid trained.

The nursery are Green Flag eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

They have 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with children, such as encouraging them to be independent to expressing their feelings.

The nursery has an outdoor play area that is surrounded by the remainder of the building, making it a safe and secure environment for children to play in. Staff and children take advantage of all of the local amenities which include two play areas, one at the entrance to nursery and one at the rear.

I have used this nursery for both my children, my eldest is now 12 and my youngest is 19 months and is currently at the nursery. I don't have a bad word for this nursey, my son loves it and really enjoys spending time there. The girls are fantastic and my son has a great bond with them, I would highly
recommend it to anyone with young children

My son absolutely loves coming to nursery and really enjoys all of the activities he gets to do.
I really believe the nursery has brought him on so much and think the girls in the baby room are a credit to the nursery.
It is always so friendly and the girls are always helpful when needing extra sessions.

Fabulous nursery! My daughter talks about the staff as much as the children at home. She has progressed week on week since joining last May. The staff are all super friendly and all give a comprehensive hand over at the end of the day picking her up. We couldn’t be happier with the care and service

The staff are always welcoming and friendly whilst remaining professional.
The nursery has what I would describe as a 'great feel'.
Some we had originally considered seemed too regimented and tidy where this nursery's focus is the children.
They have fun while learning in a safe environment with
dedicated and caring staff.

My little girl has an illness due to being born premature and the staff at The Co-operative Childcare Newbiggin are amazing with her when it comes to her being unwell or needing medication. She has come on leaps and bounds since September and she absolutely adores the staff as well. Makes me feel so
relaxed at work knowing she’s well cared for.

My daughter has been in this nursery since she was five months to currently three years. She is always so excited to go and has a lovely time.
Staff are amazing and treat the children as their own.

My daughter started the nursery in April and settled from day one. She loves going and taking part in all of the activities. It has been lovely to see her grow and develop at the nursery.
