The recently refurbished Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Newbiggin makes you feel like you've gained new family members when you meet their friendly, approachable team at their purpose-built, all-on-one level nursery.

Their ParentZone app keeps parents informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals are eaten and even toilet training progress! They are big on safety which is why all their staff are Paediatric first aid trained.

The nursery are Green Flag eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

They have 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with children, such as encouraging them to be independent to expressing their feelings.

The nursery has an outdoor play area that is surrounded by the remainder of the building, making it a safe and secure environment for children to play in. Staff and children take advantage of all of the local amenities which include two play areas, one at the entrance to nursery and one at the rear.

My 14-month-old daughter is really thriving since joining Co-operative Newbiggin Nursery. She is confidently identifying shapes. She loves singing and is eating a lot better using a spoon is showing a lot of independence since starting at nursery last November. My daughter really enjoys the baby sensory
room, the books toy kitchen area and building bricks, she gets on well with all the staff and other children in the nursery.

My daughter loved her time at Newbiggin Nursery she came on loads coming home talking about her day and how much she is learning (recognising letters and sounds). All the staff were welcoming and caring when she started nursery and when coming in the morning. Since leaving she still talks about her
time at nursery and wants to go and visit.

I mentioned my child loved the Gruffalo story by Julia Donaldson and the staff created a beautiful area for one, decorated like the deep dark forest. My child came home saying she read a book in it and she loved the lights within the log pile house.

My daughter has totally enjoyed this nursery and I would never have considered sending her anywhere else. I have been coming here for 10 years now and would highly recommend this to anybody. The Co-operative Newbiggin Hall is a lovely nursery with friendly staff. They do a range of different activities with the children and also have a wet room which is used for water play. The children go out on trips around the local area and also go on bigger trips too. Lovely nursery with very friendly

This nursery is an excellent nursery. I would definitely recommend to everyone I know. This nursery has lots of facilities for children and they do lots of different activities for them. Staff at Newbiggin Nursery are very welcoming, very helpful, understanding, polite and caring.

Fantastic nursery for both my children (9months and 3 years), I have complete confidence in the staff and know my children are safe and happy, learning and having fun every day. My 3-year-olds social skills have improved and she talks about her new friends in preschool.
My 9-month-old is experiencing
