Our son has been going to Bright Horizons full time since about six months of age (excluding lockdown). Even from an early age, he appeared to settle quickly and he’s always happy to arrive at the nursery. I can spend my working hours safe in the knowledge that he is safe, entertained and well-fed.
The nursery does more than just educate the children – they also instil kindness, tidiness and working together. I’ve been surprised on several occasions recently when my son has put wrappers in the bin without prompting and fetched my shoes and coat before we go out for a walk. One of my favourite things about the nursery is the interest staff have in tracking the children's development – they have their own scrapbooks which staff regularly update with pictures and anecdotes.

We have been amazed by the quality of care and level of further development with our son, he always has a smile on his face and loves attending, he makes friends very easily with his peers and the staff, without the additional learning structure provided we are certain he wouldn't be as far along with
his development in both communication/socialising skills and with his fine motor skills and fitness, in the current situation that we all face it would be almost impossible to provide as varied and well-suited activities and learning tools that are provided by the nursery, we can't thank the staff enough.

Our daughter has recently transitioned from the baby to the toddler room. The staff made what could have been a challenging period much easier through their support and tailored care to suit our daughter's needs. Our daughter continues to flourish in the environment and we feel she is being fully supported
to reach her learning/developmental goals.

It was lovely to experience pre-school with my daughter and join in on some activities which were really fun! I also had the opportunity to discuss her development with her key workers and how she learns, some ideas which we will definitely take home! Thanks to all the staff for a lovely morning.

My daughter loves preschool and we love the nursery. The staff are great and so caring, kids are bonding with the staff from their rooms and they are learning so much. My son was new to this nursery and he settled really well in a short time, thanks to the staff and teachers who took good care of him during this time. He learnt a lot of things in here. He always wants to stay here and doesn't want to go home when I come to pick him up. This shows how much he is enjoying
his time here. If possible I'll send my second son here soon.

My daughter joined when she was 1 year old and the development and confidence she has shown has been significant.
The staff were excellent in accommodating specific needs and provide relevant and useful feedback on a daily basis.

Curriculum morning, all staff welcomed parents and children.
They were all very helpful and loads of information available.

One of the best nurseries at Leeds, the staff are very caring and affectionate to the little ones. My little one had a very good time here. I would strongly recommend anyone to entrust their little precious gems with this nursery. They would be in good hands.

Excellent nursery, really happy with the staff and managers! My son never wants to come home when we collect him at the end of the day, however, this makes me feel better about leaving him with you whilst mum and dad go off to work. On another note, which I will discuss further, I feel that his bottom
doesn't get changed enough as it's only 2 times. So by the time we put him in the car and get him home he is wet through.

I love the nursery. The staff are very kind, they are really in love with our lovely babies.
The experience can't be described in words. My daughter settled in very well. Her confidence has improved, she is always talking about her friends from the nursery.
She will dress herself just to be able to
go to the nursery as soon as possible.
I would highly recommend this nursery. All the girls are amazing.

I love this nursery as much as my daughter.
Choosing a total stranger to take care of the most important person you've ever known is daunting. I was instantly put at ease by the staff at Bright Horizons Leeds.
The nursery is clean and safe. The choice of meals is varied and healthy.

been here for 18 months moving from baby room to rising 3's and all the staff are welcoming and supportive.

My daughter has been at this nursery since she turned 1 and is now leaving to start school. I have been so impressed with the level of care and education this nursery has provided my daughter. when she first started she did not settle at all. On numerous occasions I was told that she did not want to
do anything so she spent a lot of time being consoled by a member of staff. My worst fear was that she would be left on her own but she was given extra attention to ensure she settled in.
Since being in Pre-school room she has become confident and has learnt so much. The time and effort that the staff put into the children is remarkable and helps them prepare for school and the next chapter of their life.
Sending my daughter to Bright Horizons was the best decision I made and it has turned her into a well behaved intelligent girl.
Thank you to all of the staff who have looked after my daughter.

After only a short time at the nursery, it's time to move on to 'big' school. However, my daughter has been well and truly accepted as part of the family and supported to develop at her pace. The staff are always bright, happy and welcoming.

Katy

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Katy is the Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons. Childcare has always been her passion, and she has been dedicated to the field since leaving school. Joining Bright Horizons in 2010, she has grown from a Room Supervisor to her current leadership role as Nursery Manager.


In 2020, Katy embraced motherhood for the first time, with her child now attending the nursery. Watching him thrive and settle seamlessly into nursery life, supported by the caring and attentive staff, has deepened her understanding of the importance of individualised care.


Katy finds joy and inspiration in observing the children's learning journeys throughout the nursery. She looks forward to welcoming new families and helping children flourish during their early years.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2006

Leah has been part of the Bright Horizons Leeds team since January 2020, initially joining as a Room Leader before progressing to Deputy Manager in January 2021. She is passionate about maintaining the nursery's outstanding care. With a teacher training qualification, Leah brings valuable expertise to the setting, guiding her staff to deliver inspiring and challenging teaching and learning experiences for the children.


In addition to her leadership role, Leah is the nursery SENDCO, supporting staff, children, and families to thrive and reach their full potential through inclusive care and education.

Brodie began their career at Bright Horizons in 2019 and has grown both personally and professionally through a variety of rewarding roles within the world of early years education. From the outset, they were inspired by the impact educators can have on a child’s development during these crucial early stages - an inspiration that continues to fuel their passion every day.


Brodie is deeply committed to training and upskilling the outstanding team, ensuring that each member feels confident, supported, and empowered in their role.
