My child has been at Bright Horizons since about 9 months old. The staff are very friendly and caring, which has helped her to settle in and she now loves going to nursery! The nursery itself has nice facilities both indoor and outdoor. The children seem to spend a lot of time outdoors where possible, which I love and I'm sure the children do too. The communication is also very good, getting regular updates either by telephone or through the app so you can check what your child has been doing during your working day, which is something that I look forward to seeing.
Our little girl has just left this nursery to move on to school. I can't sing their praises enough, they have been amazing over the last few years. Particularly so after lockdown in helping bring our little one out of her shell, as she was very shy going back after such a long time and the nursery were fab with her. She will certainly miss all the staff as well as the friends she has made there. Can definitely recommend!
I have had my daughters at the nursery for two plus years and all I can think about are the positive outcomes since they started attending the nursery. The staff are very friendly and supportive of the children. The nursery provide a safe environment for the children to learn. It's been great and I strongly recommend Bright Horizons at Kirkstall, Leeds, to any parent.
Absolutely amazing nursery, always full of wonderful activities for the children to learn and grow, my boy is always happy to see everyone and for me as a parent knowing he is safe and well looked after and learning takes a huge weight off my shoulders knowing this. A huge thank you for all the support you have given while my better half has been in hospital. Such an amazing team, huge credit to the manager your hard work and dedication shows through the staff.
As a small family that has just moved to Leeds, it was quite challenging at first to find the ideal nursery setting for our 16-month-old daughter. I shortlisted a handful of nurseries with 'Outstanding' ratings and Bright Horizons was the first nursery I visited with my daughter. I was given a detailed overview of how the nursery operates, introduced to all the staff and most importantly, my daughter absolutely loved it! It's been roughly over two months that my daughter has been attending and I can already see the positive impact the nursery is having on my daughter in regards to her social and emotional development! The staff are great, they update me with thorough handovers each time I pick my daughter up and my daughter's allocated worker does not miss anything, which I appreciate. Special thanks to four members of staff in particular, for their support, understanding and commitment towards the development of my daughter. Thank you!
This nursery is our extended family. They are so friendly and you can see how much the nursery and the kids mean to them. My daughter first attended and when it was time for our son to attend there was no question about which nursery he would go to. You are always greeted with a smile and we adore this nursery.
Bright Horizons is an excellent nursery and my son is very happy here. I trust them to look after my son well.
The manager told me they embrace all cultures which was exactly what I wanted to hear.
The whole team was welcoming and after a few years now I honestly think we have a great relationship, my daughter enjoys nursery and is always happy to attend.
I find the manager very supportive even outside, my daughter, there have been times where I have been upset and the manager showed true genuine love and support that meant so much to me.
After all the horror stories you hear about misconduct in nurseries, this one is the complete opposite, it’s a lovely set up, great team, very professional and caring.
I will probably cry a bucket of tears once my child leaves for school because I know she was truly loved and cared for.
How pleased have I been with this nursery?
So so pleased!
We loved how our children developed inside Bright Horizons Leeds Day Nursery and Preschool family. The skilled, talented and dedicated staff made all the difference in my children's emotional development. We will miss them a lot.
My son started nursery at 18 months old and he has been going for 9 months now. We was really worried about how he was going to settle in, due to having a difficult time during covid, he was only around a number of close friends and family and would get upset when he didn’t know people. Bright Horizons have helped him really come out of his shell, to become the confident little boy he is now and he absolutely loves nursery. I enjoy logging into the app everyday to see what they’ve been up to and love seeing all the photos on there too. All the staff are brilliant and they all have such a lovely bond with the kids and it makes me feel so happy to know that he is well looked after. I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough. I know we made the right choice picking Bright Horizons for him.
Being a lockdown baby, our boy spent quite a lot of time in his early days isolated from the usual hustle and bustle of normal, everyday life, which has a hand in preparing babies for high-level social interaction. It’s always concerning to think that your child won’t be able to progress with social skills as we would like. The decision to place him at nursery was taken with the view that if anything, his social skills and progress would be accelerated in a nursery environment and this could only be a good thing. Bright Horizons gave us the confidence to place him with them through presenting a well-balanced learning schedule along with a very highly skilled team, who care at the highest level for our child whilst he is with them. Daily activities are always varied and we can almost always pick up on some sort of progress, even within one day when he comes home at night. A great nursery with the right team and a focus on the individual's needs.
My two children attend Bright Horizons full time and they absolutely love it. The staff are brilliant at involving them in new activities every day and the children are stimulated and cared for at every step. My youngest joined the baby room two months ago and she’s made so much progress since the first week. I always feel my children are safe and loved, which gives me great peace of mind. The staff give us a lot of updates and insights on the children’s development and the app is a nice way to see what they’re up to during the day. I highly recommend this nursery!
I’ve had two children who have attended and progressed through Bright Horizons. My 3-year-old, is currently in preschool. I have to say, the nursery is a wonderful place, with staff that take such good care of the children. I’ve seen my two grow in confidence and love going there. There’s always a smile on my daughter's face when I pick her up and she loves telling me about her day when we’re in the car. I couldn’t think of a better nursery to have my children attend. Hats off to the manager and her team, for all their hard work and dedication to making, not just the child’s journey amazing, but putting the parent at ease, knowing the children will be well looked after.
We have a year old baby whose separation anxiety had just started to kick in and whilst a normal part of development, I feel the nursery could have done better to deal with it.
The initial process was very bumpy, and the settling session as promised didn’t happen. Was something done in a rush and to the point when I first had to leave the baby on his own, he had to stay with someone he’s never seen before and therefore hasn’t created any sort of attachment too which increased his anxiety and then made it more difficult for him to settle.
We were told that the baby (a baby) isn’t confident and secure enough (maybe just poor choice of words) but very inappropriate considering the baby had a very “on track” emotional development and very appropriate for his age.
I also noticed random things like no socket covers for safety, and overused “new sippy cups”.
Little one has been coming since he turned one year old and has loved coming along. He has made such amazing friends and learned so much! Thank you to all the wonderful staff for taking such good care of us and our son!
Really pleased with the facilities and the staff are excellent, they have really helped my child to settle in.
Our son has attended Bright Horizons since he was 9 months old, so has moved up through the different rooms and has loved every single one. All of the staff are attentive and knowledgeable and have become firm favourites with our son. We have found ourselves with a delightful, well mannered little boy who amazes us with the new vocabulary and understanding he shows every week. The outdoor space is a particular highlight for us, especially so close to the city centre and our son is always keen to spend as much time outside as possible. We will have no hesitation sending our next child due this summer, to Bright Horizons.
When I enrolled my daughter at Bright Horizons, Leeds, she was 1.5 years old and I was quite worried as to how she would settle there, how she would eat there and mingle with the staff/kids. Thirty months down the lane, I have all praises for the staff at this nursery. The level of care, affection and gamified way of teaching kids is something they're really good at, and they achieve this through highly qualified and skilled staff. My daughter sees her nursery friends and staff as our extended family and she's very comfortable there and has developed a strong personality and plenty of good habits from the nursery. Overall, very happy with the level of care and standards set by them. A special kudos to them for having managed things this well through the Covid pandemic, as it must certainly have been very challenging for them, and to us, as parents, they showed great professionalism and character in keeping us informed of all the measures they take to ensure the safety of children/staff.
The manager and her team have been wonderful at making beautiful memories for my son when he was there and now my daughter. They care so much for the children and it's been great to see the kids learn new skills. It's been a friendly and happy place and the manager has always been there to help out no matter what the query.
Brilliant nursery, the staff are lovely and so understanding. My son loves going to nursery and he learns more and more every time he goes there. Would recommend. My son has learnt to be more confident and explore more.
