My son started nursery at 18 months old and he has been going for 9 months now. We was really worried about how he was going to settle in, due to having a difficult time during covid, he was only around a number of close friends and family and would get upset when he didn’t know people. Bright Horizons
have helped him really come out of his shell, to become the confident little boy he is now and he absolutely loves nursery. I enjoy logging into the app everyday to see what they’ve been up to and love seeing all the photos on there too. All the staff are brilliant and they all have such a lovely bond with the kids and it makes me feel so happy to know that he is well looked after. I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough. I know we made the right choice picking Bright Horizons for him.

Being a lockdown baby, our boy spent quite a lot of time in his early days isolated from the usual hustle and bustle of normal, everyday life, which has a hand in preparing babies for high-level social interaction. It’s always concerning to think that your child won’t be able to progress with social
skills as we would like. The decision to place him at nursery was taken with the view that if anything, his social skills and progress would be accelerated in a nursery environment and this could only be a good thing. Bright Horizons gave us the confidence to place him with them through presenting a well-balanced learning schedule along with a very highly skilled team, who care at the highest level for our child whilst he is with them. Daily activities are always varied and we can almost always pick up on some sort of progress, even within one day when he comes home at night. A great nursery with the right team and a focus on the individual's needs.

My two children attend Bright Horizons full time and they absolutely love it. The staff are brilliant at involving them in new activities every day and the children are stimulated and cared for at every step. My youngest joined the baby room two months ago and she’s made so much progress since the first
week. I always feel my children are safe and loved, which gives me great peace of mind. The staff give us a lot of updates and insights on the children’s development and the app is a nice way to see what they’re up to during the day. I highly recommend this nursery!

I’ve had two children who have attended and progressed through Bright Horizons. My 3-year-old, is currently in preschool. I have to say, the nursery is a wonderful place, with staff that take such good care of the children. I’ve seen my two grow in confidence and love going there. There’s always a smile
on my daughter's face when I pick her up and she loves telling me about her day when we’re in the car. I couldn’t think of a better nursery to have my children attend. Hats off to the manager and her team, for all their hard work and dedication to making, not just the child’s journey amazing, but putting the parent at ease, knowing the children will be well looked after.

Overall a decent nursery but I’m only giving it 3 stars based on our experience and on how we felt about it.
We have a year old baby whose separation anxiety had just started to kick in and whilst a normal part of development, I feel the nursery could have done better to deal with it.
The initial
process was very bumpy, and the settling session as promised didn’t happen. Was something done in a rush and to the point when I first had to leave the baby on his own, he had to stay with someone he’s never seen before and therefore hasn’t created any sort of attachment too which increased his anxiety and then made it more difficult for him to settle.
We were told that the baby (a baby) isn’t confident and secure enough (maybe just poor choice of words) but very inappropriate considering the baby had a very “on track” emotional development and very appropriate for his age.
I also noticed random things like no socket covers for safety, and overused “new sippy cups”.

Our son has attended Bright Horizons since he was 9 months old, so has moved up through the different rooms and has loved every single one. All of the staff are attentive and knowledgeable and have become firm favourites with our son. We have found ourselves with a delightful, well mannered little boy
who amazes us with the new vocabulary and understanding he shows every week. The outdoor space is a particular highlight for us, especially so close to the city centre and our son is always keen to spend as much time outside as possible. We will have no hesitation sending our next child due this summer, to Bright Horizons.

When I enrolled my daughter at Bright Horizons, Leeds, she was 1.5 years old and I was quite worried as to how she would settle there, how she would eat there and mingle with the staff/kids. Thirty months down the lane, I have all praises for the staff at this nursery. The level of care, affection and
gamified way of teaching kids is something they're really good at, and they achieve this through highly qualified and skilled staff. My daughter sees her nursery friends and staff as our extended family and she's very comfortable there and has developed a strong personality and plenty of good habits from the nursery. Overall, very happy with the level of care and standards set by them. A special kudos to them for having managed things this well through the Covid pandemic, as it must certainly have been very challenging for them, and to us, as parents, they showed great professionalism and character in keeping us informed of all the measures they take to ensure the safety of children/staff.

The manager and her team have been wonderful at making beautiful memories for my son when he was there and now my daughter. They care so much for the children and it's been great to see the kids learn new skills. It's been a friendly and happy place and the manager has always been there to help out

Such an amazing set of people. We were lucky enough for our little girl to have been here, and she has loved every moment. She will forever hold fond memories of nursery and she has grown into such a fabulous girl due to all the staff here. We can not express how good this nursery is. The exceptional
care and nurture they have given are simply amazing. We've also left with the most detailed books of their time there with pictures, reports and a wealth of memories to look back on.

Absolutely amazing nursery! Our son joined mid-way through the Covid-19 situation and they’ve made the whole process so easy and comfortable for us. The quality of care is second to none which meant my son settled really well and is always so happy to get there in the morning and a lot of the times
he is annoyed he has to leave. The manager and all the staff are very helpful, supportive and kind. They are always willing to talk you through any queries or questions, no matter the time and even give you ideas for activities to do at home. Seeing their enthusiasm with the kids, it is clear how passionate they are about what they do. My son has also come on leaps and bounds, especially with his confidence but it’s not only that, you can tell that he’s learned how to share, be kind and also gained a sense of independence. I’m really delighted that he’s not only being educated but learning how to be a fully rounded individual.

The manager is a wonderful person, you can clearly see she cares for all children with her heart and takes plenty of time to talk with me and my boy even though the current situation is hard with Covid, I had one issue which was solved quickly and efficiently. The staff who care for my boy are lovely
people and he is happy to leave me every morning to learn and play.

Absolutely brilliant nursery, the staff are amazing. Its been a very tough year for everybody, but they have gone above and beyond. It has been hard with Covid-19, but the staff have coped very well and put safety measures in place.
My little girl will be leaving in September, and I know she will

What a wonderful nursery this is!
My daughter started here at 9-months-old, and although I was nervous at leaving her there, I knew instantly that she was in great hands. The staff are so kind and genuinely caring. They really get to know the kids and have lots of advice to give (when asked). The
nursery manager is focused on the children's wellbeing and always puts their needs first, and through 2020, has done her best to keep the nursery open as long as it is safe to do so.

Katy

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Katy is the Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons. Childcare has always been her passion, and she has been dedicated to the field since leaving school. Joining Bright Horizons in 2010, she has grown from a Room Supervisor to her current leadership role as Nursery Manager.


In 2020, Katy embraced motherhood for the first time, with her child now attending the nursery. Watching him thrive and settle seamlessly into nursery life, supported by the caring and attentive staff, has deepened her understanding of the importance of individualised care.


Katy finds joy and inspiration in observing the children's learning journeys throughout the nursery. She looks forward to welcoming new families and helping children flourish during their early years.

Leah

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2006

Leah has been part of the Bright Horizons Leeds team since January 2020, initially joining as a Room Leader before progressing to Deputy Manager in January 2021. She is passionate about maintaining the nursery's outstanding care. With a teacher training qualification, Leah brings valuable expertise to the setting, guiding her staff to deliver inspiring and challenging teaching and learning experiences for the children.


In addition to her leadership role, Leah is the nursery SENDCO, supporting staff, children, and families to thrive and reach their full potential through inclusive care and education.

Brodie began their career at Bright Horizons in 2019 and has grown both personally and professionally through a variety of rewarding roles within the world of early years education. From the outset, they were inspired by the impact educators can have on a child’s development during these crucial early stages - an inspiration that continues to fuel their passion every day.


Brodie is deeply committed to training and upskilling the outstanding team, ensuring that each member feels confident, supported, and empowered in their role.
