I am really happy with the care my son receives at Bright Horizons Leeds Nursery and most importantly my son is. The staff are all caring and friendly and provide feedback on what my son has been doing and have been reassuring and helpful at more difficult drop-offs. They (staff and managers) coped
amazingly well during the floods early this year going above and beyond to provide a professional service, continuity of care and a caring environment.

I am a mother of two children, one who started at the nursery at 6 months old and is now at primary school, and the other who started at the nursery at 7 months old and has just started in the pre-school class. For both my children, the genuine care at the nursery has been second to none. We kept our
second child at the nursery after moving house as despite a 45 minute round journey we felt that we would not be able to match the care, attention and support for development that our children receive at this nursery anywhere else. On a recent school holiday, our daughter said she wished she could go back and be at nursery in the holidays. That says it all to me.
The rooms are all clean with great equipment for each age range, with an outdoor play area with garden and nutritious meals cooked on site by the chef.
The most important factor is the ethos of the nursery which is a partnership with parents. If you have to work, to be welcomed and still have a say in children's care is vital.

The staff at this nursery are better compared to the rarest of diamonds. My little boy has just left to start 'big' school since joining at 9 months old and the level of care he received was second to none. Never have I seen a team so caring and devoted to a child's development and the management are
so amazing. The food is prepared with the greatest of love by a fantastic chef and every member of staff is extremely approachable. Would highly recommend this setting to any parent**.

My daughter has been at the nursery for the last two years (approximately) and throughout this time has had exemplary care. My son has developed leaps and bounds since coming to Tadpoles. All the staff have always been friendly and great with my boy, he will often ask for the carers when at home and is always excited to tell them what he has done when he has been away.
This shows to me the staff have bonded well with my
son and show enough of an interest for him to care for them. I would highly recommend Tadpoles as I don't believe my son would be as developed and polite without the hard work of the team.

I am extremely happy with all aspects of this nursery. It was slightly more expensive than other nurseries I visited but instantly felt more confident in the staff and surroundings. My child has been in three different rooms and all of the staff are consistent and excellent. She has settled into each
room well. The activities are always age appropriate and varied. The garden area is excellent. The food choices are varied and encourage a good liking of food stuffs.

My son has been at nursery since he was nine months old, and is now getting ready to leave for school. During his time at nursery I feel he has been nurtured through the various rooms and has consistently been cared for by the staff. One particular member of staff has been with him throughout and always
makes him feel at ease if he becomes upset or worried about something. I love the fact that when he comes home he talks about the staff as his friends as well as his peers. The staff have always made me feel comfortable leaving my son and always keep me informed about his day and activities.

My son has attended this nursery since the age of 11 months. Since attending he has developed so much and has great social skills because of his early interaction with other children in a busy environment. He has the best relationship with his key workers, especially his male key worker who he has developed
a strong bond with over the years. He is now aged 3, and it's reassuring when I hear my son talking positively about his key worker and little friends because I knew he is happy. I'd like to thank all the staff for the hard work over the years.

Since starting at Leeds Day Nursery at the end of 2015, my daughter has settled in wonderfully. All of the nursery staff have been fantastic, helping her to settle in and make fer feel welcome. The range of activities that the children take part in is brilliant and varied. The outside play area and
garden is lovely and it's fantastic that the children are able to take part in growing and cooking the food they eat.

Katy

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Katy is the Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons. Childcare has always been her passion, and she has been dedicated to the field since leaving school. Joining Bright Horizons in 2010, she has grown from a Room Supervisor to her current leadership role as Nursery Manager.


In 2020, Katy embraced motherhood for the first time, with her child now attending the nursery. Watching him thrive and settle seamlessly into nursery life, supported by the caring and attentive staff, has deepened her understanding of the importance of individualised care.


Katy finds joy and inspiration in observing the children's learning journeys throughout the nursery. She looks forward to welcoming new families and helping children flourish during their early years.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2006

Leah has been part of the Bright Horizons Leeds team since January 2020, initially joining as a Room Leader before progressing to Deputy Manager in January 2021. She is passionate about maintaining the nursery's outstanding care. With a teacher training qualification, Leah brings valuable expertise to the setting, guiding her staff to deliver inspiring and challenging teaching and learning experiences for the children.


In addition to her leadership role, Leah is the nursery SENDCO, supporting staff, children, and families to thrive and reach their full potential through inclusive care and education.

Job Title: Third in Charge

Brodie began their career at Bright Horizons in 2019 and has grown both personally and professionally through a variety of rewarding roles within the world of early years education. From the outset, they were inspired by the impact educators can have on a child’s development during these crucial early stages - an inspiration that continues to fuel their passion every day.


Brodie is deeply committed to training and upskilling the outstanding team, ensuring that each member feels confident, supported, and empowered in their role. Together, they implement the bespoke Nurture Approach ethos, which places the emotional well-being and holistic development of children at the heart of everything they do.
