Children 1st Meir Park Nursery School has been refurbished to provide a bright, spacious and stimulating environment for babies, toddlers and pre-school children from birth to five years. The nursery also provides a flexible after-school club for children aged five to twelve years.

A friendly and enthusiastic team of early years staff are fully trained and experienced to give each child the best care and attention they require to meet their developmental milestones.

The nursery features age-appropriate rooms that lead onto a spacious outdoor garden which has been designed to provide a rich learning experience with carefully chosen, age-specific equipment.

A nutritionally balanced menu is provided by the on-site chef who caters for any specific dietary requirements.

The nursery also offers funded places for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds.

My daughter has only been at the nursery for a short while part-time, but the staff have helped her to settle in well and she seems to enjoy it. I love the activities on offer to her and how clean and comfortable the facilities are. Although slightly more expensive compared to other nurseries, this
was by far the best nursery local to us and I am very pleased we were able to get a place for our daughter.


The menu offered to the children is excellent and is rotated weekly so I know that my daughter is enjoying variety each time she goes. My daughter loves the food and often has an extra portion! I only wish I could stay for lunch myself.

My son loves the nursery and has a good relationship with the staff. The online record of my son's achievement is excellent. It also allows me to see how happy he is at the nursery through the picture which accompanies the observation. The meals provided are varied and my son eats it all so it must
be tasty too. At Christmas, my son came home with a canvas painting of his hand and foot, I love things like this as it’s something that can be kept for years.

Brilliant day nursery, the facilities and staff are excellent. My daughter loves going. It's great that she gets to play outside most days, she loves to be outside playing and even gets to go out when it's wet because of the canopy which some nurseries don't have.

Staff are always extremely friendly. My son waves me off in the morning and runs into his room beaming with joy. It makes going to work easier knowing he is so happy and well looked after.

The staff are excellent with the children. I have a 3-year-old daughter who attends 2 days a week and she really enjoys her time at nursery. I also have a 5-year-old daughter who attends 3 earlys a week before school. The staff are excellent and you can approach them about anything and they are always

Can not recommend this nursery enough. They have been brilliant from the first visit and never failed to impress me since. The nursery has a very homely welcoming feel and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The range of foods that are served throughout the week are very healthy. There is a
large range of activities and outdoor play on offer. My son loves going and always has a smile on his face when we arrive. The staff always put the children's needs first and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my son in their care.

Children 1st @ Meir Park is a very welcoming nursery. My daughter has developed and flourished during her time here, making lots of lovely little friends whom she talks about often and fondly. The learning environment offers lots of choice and is adapted to her needs. The Early Years log is also a fantastic
resource where staff update it with pictures, videos and commentary about my daughter's development on a very regular basis. The staff make everyone feel very welcome and always provide detailed feedback. It was the best decision we made to apply for a place for my daughter. It has prepared her for school and learning in general.

Children's 1st @Meir Park offer outstanding care for children. My daughter is extremely happy every evening when she comes home and can't wait to talk about all of the wonderful activities that take place. Me and my partner travel out of our way to ensure that she stays at the nursery after moving away
from the City. I can't thank the staff enough for everything they do for all of the children at the nursery.

Both our daughters have attended your nursery. (The eldest has now left and at primary school).
Both of them settled well into the routine and seemed to enjoy going to nursery.
We also noticed the improvement in both our daughters' interaction with other children once they started at your nursery
and other various skills came on in leaps and bounds throughout their time at your nursery.

Management was very useful when collecting information as my daughter has only just started nursery. All staff were very polite and generous. They were also patient and understanding towards being a first-time mum, looking for a suitable nursery. Any questions were answered truthfully and with the correct
up-to-date information.
The facilities are varied and wide, with plenty of choices. It is very spacious and well equipped for health and safety.
Overall it is a fantastic, fun nursery and I am glad I chose this one for my daughter.

My daughter and son have attended here over the past 5 years. Throughout the nursery, the staff are very professional and nurturing. They are very respectful and understanding of parental wishes. They have catered for my daughter's diet on an individual basis and when she had particular dietary health
problems which were being investigated, they were being very supportive. They provide a very stimulating and fun environment and take into account my child's interests, areas of development and personality. The warmth and loving environment provided gave/gives my child the confidence to try new things and grow to be their own little person, which is reassuring when you go off to work. I know I don't have to worry and appreciate the positive start that they have given my children throughout their foundation years. Priceless!

I have been using Children 1st at Meir Park since before reception year at school. Excellent nursery, staff are wonderful, facilities are great. My son has made many friends, enjoys coming to Children 1st and enjoys going out to Acorns. Enjoyed the graduation ceremony that the staff organised. Staff
are great with the children and good with parents too.

My son loves going to Meir Park nursery and especially loves it when he does woodwork with "Bob the builder" as he calls him.
Staff are so caring and will bend over backwards to help if needed.
My son always loves baking time too.

Love this nursery at Meir Park Stoke. My son came from a very bad experience at another nursery and since he's been coming here, not once have I had any issues. He's come on leaps and bounds all thanks to you girls. The staff are amazing with my son, knowing what he went through previously they are
very cautious, which puts my mind at ease when I go to work. I would highly recommend, 5 stars if I could give 10 stars I would!

Hi my name is Sara Allen and I am the Manager at Children 1st @ Meir Park. I qualified in 1998 and I have worked at Meir Park for over 15 years. Before I became the Manager I was Deputy Manager and also worked for 10 years in the Jemima Puddle Ducks as a senior nursery nurse. I have a wide range of experience and I have a real passion for all the children we care for but especially our under 3’s.
