My daughter has recently left Windmill Hill to start school. She has been there for 4 years and has come on so much, from learning to walk to not being a fussy eater anymore. She has had some struggles over the years and the nursery has been so supportive through it all. They have always been there
to help. She has so much confidence and she has made some life long friends too. I love that fruit is there for them to help themselves and my daughter would always have an apple for the car ride home.

Our twin daughters really enjoyed their time at Windmill. I give credit to the wonderful staff and front desk who would always greet our girls with a smile each morning. What also stood out for me, was how the staff were always genuinely caring and kept us fully up to date with things. I loved the parent
app it was heartwarming to see my girls enjoying their daily activities whilst I was at work. As parents, we both saw a huge growth in confidence and skills in both girls during their time at this fabulous nursery. Thank you all.

My child truly enjoyed their time with the nursery. From the start all of the staff showed great care and consideration for my child. Leaving your children is a difficult thing to do. The team supported me with the process in the early days and my child's enthusiasm to go reassured me she was in safe
hands. I found they give the children a good range of activities and the menu choices were always a big hit. I would highly recommend Windmill Hill if you are looking for a safe but educational environment for your little one.

In the last few months, our family has sadly come to the end of its journey with Windmill Hill Day Nursery.
Starting back in 2012, we have always had at least one (and for a short period 2) of our boys there full time.


We can honestly say that throughout the entire last 7 years, our experience with

the nursery and its staff has been nothing but excellent. Exuding a nature that is caring and nurturing, our boys have always felt safe and secure.


It was always a lovely environment, loads to do, and plenty of extra activities and experiences being created for the children (dancing, animals coming in, little trips out, rotation of play equipment inside and outside, cooking etc). All the staff have been amazing, and it's been really nice seeing the progression of some of them over the last seven years from junior roles to becoming part of the management team.
From the admin/reception team to the managers, and the boy's various key workers over the years, all have been outstanding.

My son attended Windmill Hill from 9 months until 3 1/2 years old. He had a great time and made so many friends there. The staff were friendly and were knowledgeable about child development. There was good communication with parents and the weekly newsletter provides a good overview of the weekly activities.
My son enjoyed the extra specialist sessions such as football club, tots tennis and dancing. The administration staff were so welcoming, especially one in particular who was always cheerful and helped to sort out admin problems. We will miss the nursery.

My daughter joined Windmill Hill preschool room in January 2019 after her previous nursery was closed down. All the staff made her feel welcome from the first moment she arrived and she's loved being there. All the staff are friendly, informative and trustworthy and I was never in doubt that she would
be well taken care of. The early years education they provided was excellent - She often came home telling me what new things she had learnt. The parent portal is great so I could see what she had been up to. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Both of my children have attended Windmill Hill and they have enjoyed every minute, learning and growing in confidence along the way. My eldest, now at school, loves going to collect her younger sister so she can go and say hello to everyone. The staff are simply amazing and I have never felt any concerns
about leaving the girls in their care. The nursery never stands still and is always seeking ways to improve, introducing new activities and enhancing facilities. I have found them to be flexible when I have needed additional days of child care.
All in all an excellent nursery - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

I have found all the staff at the nursery to be friendly and helpful. The administrator has been amazing at helping with any queries I have had and has made the completion of paperwork etc much easier.


The settling in visits for my child at each room change has been extremely helpful and the daily

updates the team provide me with are useful.


Parents' evenings are beneficial and informative, as are the online updates about my child.

My son has been attending Windmill Hill day nursery since just before his first birthday until he leaves this September to start school. Throughout his time at the nursery, he has learned and developed so much and all the staff within each of the rooms he has gone into has really helped him progress
and gain his confidence. He has made some lovely friends and has built some close bonds with some of the nursery staff which is so lovely. All the staff are willing and encouraging to help and push with his development and always looking at new ways and ideas to teach the children. He will surely be sad to leave in August as he's had a fab 4 years at the nursery.

My daughter started at Windmill Hill when she was 9 months old. We had looked around other nurseries but when we visited Windmill we knew this was the one. The staff are wonderful. Everyone is friendly. It is clean and very professional. I love being sent updates about what activities my daughter has
done that day. The facilities are brilliant and there is a lovely garden for the children to play in. It is a brilliant nursery I highly recommend Windmill Hill

Our son has been attending Windmill Hill Day Nursery for the last 3 years and even though he only attends once a week, he has been fully supported by the various number of friendly and attentive staff based there. He is given a broad range of learning activities to participate in and is actively encouraged
to engage with the other children in his class to further build on his social skills. The Parent Zone app that is also offered is of great use and we can see how he is progressing in real-time with supporting photos and evidence which we can also contribute to.

Our son has loved attending Windmill Hill Day Nursery. The rooms and outdoor spaces are well designed and fully equipped for play and learning. The staff (including support staff) are highly trained, professional, friendly, caring and helpful. There is a real family atmosphere and lots of opportunity
for parents, carers etc to get involved in various activities at the nursery. Our son's development and learning has really progressed during his time at Windmill Hill Day Nursery. We are kept up-to-date on his progress and we can log into an app to see what he has been doing. He has made lots of friends and looks forward to spending time there.

My daughter loved going to nursery at Windmill Hill Day Nursery. All the staff were friendly and very welcoming. Kayleigh is the Manager of Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 20 years. Kayleigh joined Childbase in 2014 and has completed her BTEC National Diploma in Early Years.


What is your favourite feature of Windmill Hill?
The nursery is surrounded by beautiful outdoor environments which create amazing learning opportunities for the children, for example, the nature trail which the children love to explore. The nursery is also on one level which enables the children to have free-flow opportunities in our garden areas throughout the day.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
Recently achieving outstanding in our Ofsted inspection, and the staff’s personal pride in their own professional development through completing degrees and online training. This is also shown through our internal progressions across the nursery.
