A purpose built high-quality nursery, Windmill Hill Day Nursery is situated on an attractive business park, which has a windmill and duck ponds that are utilised by staff and children for educational visits throughout the year.

The nursery has 5 main playrooms and the main garden includes a bike track and fenced off mud kitchen area.

I am so happy my son attends this nursery. Following several settling in sessions we decided this was the nursery we could trust. My son settled well and he really enjoys spending lots of time outdoors and he has gained new friendships here. The staff are friendly and show a genuine care for the children,
the dedicated key worker gives me reassurance that my son is close cared for. There is always something for the children to do whether its messy play, the weekly activity table or the fantastic outdoor space. I'm so glad we found this nursery!

Exceptional childcare for the last 2 years - Windmill Hill Nursery has played an essential part in my Son's development.


Watching him grow and bond with both staff and children has been a real joy, and the support he received during his time there was incredible.


The staff are very kind and caring,

bonding with the children on a personal level and going out of their way to ensure your child is well looked after and provided for.


The facilities are excellent and well maintained and numerous daily activities give the children plenty of learning opportunities and keep them active.


I couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough, my Son had a fantastic couple of years here and we have been really impressed by the support he has received.

I have been taking my 2.5 year old son to Windmill Hill for 6 months now, 3 mornings a week. He is always so excited to go to nursery in the mornings and has learned so much since attending. The staff are very friendly and my son has built good relationships with them. His speech has come on massively
and the staff are very supportive on issues like potty training which we have recently started. All in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone looking for childcare.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2014

Kayleigh is the Manager of Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 20 years. Kayleigh joined Childbase in 2014 and has completed her BTEC National Diploma in Early Years.


What is your favourite feature of Windmill Hill?
The nursery is surrounded by beautiful outdoor environments which create amazing learning opportunities for the children, for example, the nature trail which the children love to explore. The nursery is also on one level which enables the children to have free-flow opportunities in our garden areas throughout the day.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
Recently achieving outstanding in our Ofsted inspection, and the staff’s personal pride in their own professional development through completing degrees and online training. This is also shown through our internal progressions across the nursery.
