My son started nursery at Windmill Hill on the 4th of September. There were a few minor issues but was promptly sorted. My son of 20 months settled in quickly thanks to the brilliant teachers and he grew in confidence and made friends easily. He enjoyed his days there and after settling in, looked forward to going. I would recommend this nursery as the staff are friendly and have empathy for each child, management kept in contact with any new information and I enjoyed the parent zone app to keep a virtual eye on my son's day at nursery. Thank you.
I cannot praise the nursery enough. The staff are all amazing from being welcomed by the reception staff, to the room leads, room staff and management. Especially in such uncertain and often scary times, the nursery has given me confidence in the care they give my daughter. Since attending the nursery my daughters development has come on leaps and bounds and she loved attending. We have had to leave the nursery due to relocation but if I’m lucky enough to find another nursery half as good I’ll be happy.
I had two of my children in this nursery for almost four years and I had no concerns whatsoever at any point. The staff just did an amazing job every day supporting our children's development on an emotional and intellectual level. Our kids were always very excited to go to nursery and had an excellent relationship with carers. Admin staff and management have also been amazing - very approachable, responsive and supportive. All in all, I would recommend them to anyone.
My son attended Windmill Hill from 6 months old. It has given him the confidence to be around lots of people and he is an incredibly sociable little boy. I cannot praise the staff enough here, both in the rooms and behind the scenes in management/kitchen etc. Thank you for everything! I'm sad to see him leave.
We have used the nursery for 3 and a half years, since my daughter was just 8-months-old. The staff are amazing. As a family we really couldn’t of asked for anything more. Windmill Hill have supported our family not only through the first 4 years of our daughter's life but through our first 4 years as parents. Every member of staff has always made drop-off/pick-up easy with a warm welcome and a smile. Thank you Windmill Hill, I couldn’t thank you enough. I would highly recommend you to anyone.
Thank you so much Windmill Hill.
My daughter has attended this nursery from aged 14-months, and it is her last day today. I have only positive things to say about this nursery and all that work here, it is a home from home for my daughter, and she adores the workers. I would, and have, happily recommend to other parents.
Brilliant nursery, my children have enjoyed their time at the nursery immensely and continue to do so. The staff are kind, caring, patient and understanding of each child individually. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent. I know when at nursery my children are happy, safe and being cared for at such a high standard.
I’m very sad to see my son leave after such lovely memories and to see how well he has developed through the excellent learning.
From day one the staff offered my children excellent care and always coming up with new ways to engage with them whilst following the early years curriculum.
The staff form wonderful bonds with the children and I have always felt they are in a safe, secure environment.
Thank you so much for everything you've done and where you go above and beyond, such as your Easter, Halloween and Christmas events. The children love these very much.
We all have been extremely happy with the service, and genuine care, received and I'm sure we will continue to do so over the next two years.
Our son is coming to the end of his time at Windmill Hill Nursery and will soon be starting school. He has been attending this nursery since he was about 9-months-old. We have been extremely happy with the standard of care provided by Windmill Hill Nursery, both for our son and also for our daughter who attended the same nursery several years ago. We would have no hesitation in recommending Windmill Hill Nursery to any parents researching child care options. We have always found the staff to be friendly, approachable and professional and our children enjoyed attending this nursery.
My child has attended Windmill Hill nursery from being 18 months old and I could not recommend it enough. The staff are friendly and very informative and I felt they cared about my child knowing his interests. The room itself was well resourced with interesting activities. You can clearly see that staff enjoy being there, taking time and care to make sure the environment was stimulating and inviting to the children. The outside area is amazing and very well organised.
When we first started looking at nursery’s for my eldest two years ago we instantly felt that Windmill Hill was the best place for him. The class that he went into was amazing, so welcoming and encouraging when it came to his nervous first few days. He absolutely loved his key worker and the room leader and I felt that they did everything they could to develop him and they always shared his experiences with us. This continued into the next class also and I will be forever grateful for the support they gave both of my boys. My youngest joined only at the beginning of this year and the class again proved to be very supportive and interested in him and his development under their care. Thank you all, also to those on the front desk who always welcomed my boys with a warm welcome and smile! Thanks all.
We highly recommend Windmill Hill, our son was quite anxious at being away from us initially, but due to the care and gentle encouragement from the staff, he soon settled and absolutely loved his nursery days. The fact Windmill Hill offers as many settling in sessions as required really helped with this. He especially always seems to enjoy the variety of food he is given, and always came home very "chatty" as though he was telling us about his lovely day!
From the level of organisation from the admin team through to the genuine care for the well-being of our son and relaxed well-managed environment, I don't feel we could ever have asked for a better start for his education. You can tell everyone has a vested interest in delivering the best care. We would return without hesitation. Thanks Windmill team.
She got so much out of her time at Windmill, she learnt so much and she thoroughly enjoyed being there. It feels such a safe and welcoming environment. I’ll always be grateful for the care they gave my daughter.
We will miss nursery very much and couldn’t recommend them more highly to anyone considering a nursery in the area.
Everyone in the team is fantastic - thank you.
Windmill Hill Day Nursery is a great nursery. The staff are really friendly and obviously care a great deal about the children. They do so many different activities with the children and keep them stimulated and entertained all day long. Our son really thrived there.
The nursery has fantastic staff and it’s very well organised and the staff members are extraordinary. I highly recommend Windmill Hill Nursery to all my friends.
We are so thankful that we chose Windmill Hill as a nursery for our daughter. She is two next month and started at the nursery just before her first birthday. She absolutely loves nursery and this is down to all the incredible staff who are so friendly and welcoming. They always have a smile on their faces even at the end of a busy day! The activities they do with the children are brilliant and we have seen a huge difference in our daughter since she has been attending. She is confident, enjoys socialising with other children and keen to learn new things and I believe her time at Windmill Hill has contributed hugely to this. Thank you so much to all the staff from the management team, to the admin staff, to the incredible cooks and of course the nursery workers themselves, you are all amazing!
Our son has really enjoyed his time at Windmill Hill. He has felt safe and positively encouraged. The weekly newsletter is brilliant at letting us parents know what is happening during the childrens week. There is a good range of activities however it does depend on what day your child is in to be able to participate in them. Unfortunately for our son, that has been very few due to the 1 day he has been attending. The other activities such as weekend family events as well as opportunities for the parents, one example being able to try the food our children are eating there has been wonderful. It's sad we have to leave for financial reasons, compounded by the arcane way this nursery group treats the 15/30 free hours.
