My daughter has attended this nursery from aged 14-months, and it is her last day today. I have only positive things to say about this nursery and all that work here, it is a home from home for my daughter, and she adores the workers. I would, and have, happily recommend to other parents.

Brilliant nursery, my children have enjoyed their time at the nursery immensely and continue to do so. The staff are kind, caring, patient and understanding of each child individually. I honestly couldn’t thank Windmill Hill enough for the support and guidance they provided with our childcare experience. My son attended from 9 months old, and I have nothing but good words to say and recommend about Windmill Hill. All the staff and management are lovely and so welcoming here.

My daughter has just left Windmill Hill Day Nursery and my son continues to attend.
From day one the staff offered my children excellent care and always coming up with new ways to engage with them whilst following the early years curriculum.
The staff form wonderful bonds with the children and I have
always felt they are in a safe, secure environment.
Thank you so much for everything you've done and where you go above and beyond, such as your Easter, Halloween and Christmas events. The children love these very much.
We all have been extremely happy with the service, and genuine care, received and I'm sure we will continue to do so over the next two years.

Our son is coming to the end of his time at Windmill Hill Nursery and will soon be starting school. He has been attending this nursery since he was about 9-months-old. We have been extremely happy with the standard of care provided by Windmill Hill Nursery, both for our son and also for our daughter
who attended the same nursery several years ago. We would have no hesitation in recommending Windmill Hill Nursery to any parents researching child care options. We have always found the staff to be friendly, approachable and professional and our children enjoyed attending this nursery.

My child has attended Windmill Hill nursery from being 18 months old and I could not recommend it enough. The staff are friendly and very informative and I felt they cared about my child knowing his interests. The room itself was well resourced with interesting activities. You can clearly see that staff
enjoy being there, taking time and care to make sure the environment was stimulating and inviting to the children. The outside area is amazing and very well organised.

When we first started looking at nursery’s for my eldest two years ago we instantly felt that Windmill Hill was the best place for him. The class that he went into was amazing, so welcoming and encouraging when it came to his nervous first few days. He absolutely loved his key worker and the room leader
and I felt that they did everything they could to develop him and they always shared his experiences with us. This continued into the next class also and I will be forever grateful for the support they gave both of my boys. My youngest joined only at the beginning of this year and the class again proved to be very supportive and interested in him and his development under their care. Thank you all, also to those on the front desk who always welcomed my boys with a warm welcome and smile! Thanks all.

We highly recommend Windmill Hill, our son was quite anxious at being away from us initially, but due to the care and gentle encouragement from the staff, he soon settled and absolutely loved his nursery days. The fact Windmill Hill offers as many settling in sessions as required really helped with
this. He especially always seems to enjoy the variety of food he is given, and always came home very "chatty" as though he was telling us about his lovely day!

We've had our son with Windmill Hill for over a year and have been very impressed with the care and environment.
From the level of organisation from the admin team through to the genuine care for the well-being of our son and relaxed well-managed environment, I don't feel we could ever have asked for

Absolutely brilliant nursery. My daughter took a while to settle as she was very much a mummy's girl and wanted to be with me all the time. The team at Windmill were so patient with her and really took the time to help her settle in.
She got so much out of her time at Windmill, she learnt so much
and she thoroughly enjoyed being there. It feels such a safe and welcoming environment. I’ll always be grateful for the care they gave my daughter.
We will miss nursery very much and couldn’t recommend them more highly to anyone considering a nursery in the area.

Windmill Hill Nursery is a fantastic nursery. I love everything about it, the playground, the menus, the structure of the activities and how the classrooms are displayed. It makes me very happy to receive notifications from the app with the fantastic milestone of our little one.

We are so thankful that we chose Windmill Hill as a nursery for our daughter. She is two next month and started at the nursery just before her first birthday. She absolutely loves nursery and this is down to all the incredible staff who are so friendly and welcoming. They always have a smile on their
faces even at the end of a busy day! The activities they do with the children are brilliant and we have seen a huge difference in our daughter since she has been attending. She is confident, enjoys socialising with other children and keen to learn new things and I believe her time at Windmill Hill has contributed hugely to this. Thank you so much to all the staff from the management team, to the admin staff, to the incredible cooks and of course the nursery workers themselves, you are all amazing!

Our son has really enjoyed his time at Windmill Hill. He has felt safe and positively encouraged. The weekly newsletter is brilliant at letting us parents know what is happening during the childrens week. There is a good range of activities however it does depend on what day your child is in to be able
to participate in them. Unfortunately for our son, that has been very few due to the 1 day he has been attending. The other activities such as weekend family events as well as opportunities for the parents, one example being able to try the food our children are eating there has been wonderful. It's sad we have to leave for financial reasons, compounded by the arcane way this nursery group treats the 15/30 free hours.

Our son attended Windmill Hill Nursery from 2016 through to December 2019 and we were always happy to leave him in the care of the staff there. He was also always very happy to attend and we would rarely have any issues with his drop off - which meant he was confident and content with being there.
There
were a few inconsistencies with the frequency of updates provided on the app, sometimes we would go weeks without an update and then several in the space of a week. Pickups were sometimes a little disorganised where no particular staff member could give me a detailed description of what our son had done during the day, whereas some days the members of staff were more thorough and able to provide more insight into his day which was always helpful.
Overall I'd recommend the nursery to other parents, the staff are caring of the children, our son very happy, and the events throughout the year (Christmas and Halloween parties for example) are a welcome addition as well!

This is a brilliant nursery and it is only because of a geographical change that we sadly had to remove our 15-month-old daughter. It was a real sadness to have to leave as she had settled and was happy there. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, both on reception and in the classroom itself. It
is so hard to leave your child all day but I knew she was in good hands and her development came on leaps and bounds whilst she was there. The facilities are amazing and the classroom and outdoor play area is so spacious with great equipment. I'd highly recommend this nursery.

Due to a change in circumstances, we have had to change childcare providers. My child started at Windmill Hill Nursery when they were nine months old and left shortly before their 2nd birthday. We were extremely saddened to have made this decision as my child loved their time here, as they thrived in
the environment whilst being encouraged to develop their social skills and outgoing personality. The front desk was always managed by people who greeted the children with a smile and hello, and the same goes for the end of the day.

A great support system within the nursery. My son was there since I started work at seven months. Great care, great food, kids enjoy all the activities. My daughter absolutely loves this nursery. She has built very good relationships with other children and staff over the years. As a result of this, her social skills and awareness are fantastic. The staff are all so loving and personable towards her and I, as a parent, found them great to talk to and
very approachable. Communication with the parent is very good and consists of verbal and electronic updates. I really felt that attending this nursery has given my daughter a great foundation for her future education and I will always be grateful to them.

Kayleigh is the Manager of Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 20 years. Kayleigh joined Childbase in 2014 and has completed her BTEC National Diploma in Early Years.


What is your favourite feature of Windmill Hill?
The nursery is surrounded by beautiful outdoor environments which create amazing learning opportunities for the children, for example, the nature trail which the children love to explore. The nursery is also on one level which enables the children to have free-flow opportunities in our garden areas throughout the day.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
Recently achieving outstanding in our Ofsted inspection, and the staff’s personal pride in their own professional development through completing degrees and online training. This is also shown through our internal progressions across the nursery.
