My son has attended nursery since he was a baby and has loved every moment. The care he receives at Windmill Hill has been second to none. The staff provide a warm welcoming environment and I feel my son has made a positive relationship with everyone within the setting as well as putting mine and his mums mind at ease about leaving him. The activities the nursery provides, are imaginative and fun, and I can definitely see my son developing leaps and bounds since being at Windmill. Would definitely recommend.
When looking for childcare for our one-year old daughter, we were quite thorough and saw a lot of different nurseries and there was NONE that could compete with Windmill Hill. From the moment we entered the premises, my husband and I were convinced that this was the space we could trust to bring our little one in and feel completely safe and worry-free. The facilities are amazing, the staff are beyond lovely, the activities they do with the kids are great and even though our little girl currently only goes in for one day a week, I feel like I can feel and see her getting so much more independent, sociable and smart from the experience already. I have recommended Windmill Hill to a lot of our friends already and if I had to make the choice again, I would chose this as our nursery all over again.
Lovely staff and fantastic communication, a certain member of staff is a true asset!
I love the fact that the pre-school isn't a pressured and formal learning environment but with my son being so enthusiastic to sit down and learn, I had hoped there was more opportunity for him to progress with writing, reading etc. at pre-school.
I would have also loved to have seen my son go on some outdoor excursions whilst at pre-school too.
My son enjoyed his time spent at Windmill and made some fab pals along the way though.
The standards of the nursery have remained very high throughout this period.
We have had some issues during the years as would be expected over 7 years, however, when these have been raised they have dealt with well and professionally.
Having one child with allergies and asthma problems I could not praise the nursery enough on how well this has been dealt with, in particular when external medical assistance was needed.
The girls who look after the children are friendly welcoming and both my children built good relationships.
The admin staff are equally as good and always deal with queries quickly and efficiently.
My first child left the nursery ready for school and I believe his start at Windmill Hill helped greatly. As my second is due to start in September I am expecting the same strong start to his schooling.
Overall a lovely and professional nursery.
The love, care, encouragement, support and time you have shown our little boy over the last 3 years is second to none. You have gone above and beyond to help him realise his full potential over the years and prepare him for his next big milestone.
We can't believe how well he has developed and progressed during his time at Windmill Hill he has really come out of his shell and his personality has really blossomed, he's not our baby anymore but our little boy who is ready for school. Thank you to each and every one of you for everything you have done and continue to do, it is clear that the children are your number one priority.
Both my sons have attended the nursery since the age of 11 months. I can honestly say their care has been outstanding the entire time. The staff members are all warm and friendly and take the time to really get to know the children and their little quirks. Everyone you encounter, whether a key worker or admin staff, is so kind and takes a genuine interest in the children. My sons have both settled quickly into all the different rooms. My eldest has flourished in preschool room and he will leave completely prepared to start school even though he is one of the youngest in his year. They have been provided with fantastic activities such as football and everything is geared towards their interests. I cannot thank Windmill Hill enough for the fantastic start they have given my sons and would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.
The whole team at Windmill Hill are excellent; they all really care and it shows. He has had lots of great opportunities and the use of terrific facilities which are refreshed regularly.
During his time at Windmill Hill he has been nurtured and encouraged, and he has developed into a confident boy who has a good awareness of his place in the community. He has loved every minute!
My daughter has been at the nursery since she was 8 months old and is now about to leave as she is going to primary school. Windmill Hill Nursery has looked after her exceptionally well over the last 4 years. The staff in each room and in the office have been very caring and supportive, individually and collectively. She has benefitted enormously through the learning activities and has developed into a well rounded, sociable little girl who is more than well equipped to deal with her new challenge ahead. Thank you Windmill Hill.
The nursery and the team at the nursery are so welcoming and helpful. They are professional yet friendly. I have used the nursery for around 6 years and wouldn't have taken my girls anywhere else. The preschool room has changed over the last 6 months for the better. The room has helped my youngest get school ready, she has developed her phonic knowledge, letter knowledge and writing. She has loved finding out about new topics, enjoyed football and singing. It has been such an organised yet flexible room, taking the register and PE has given the room structure but the children still have fun. The food is great and has a great variety - I am sure my youngest has several helpings. I will be sad to say goodbye to the nursery when my daughter leaves this summer.
Both my daughters have attended this nursery/preschool for the past 7 years and I could not have been happier with the choice I made. The staff are attentive and helpful and always understood the needs of each individual child. The menu is amazing and I always know each day my daughter has had nutritious meals. Both my daughters have been so happy here and I would always recommend this setting to anyone!
Both my children have consistently received exceptional care and attention, meaning that they were/are always happy and looking forward to going to the nursery in the morning.
The nursery team has always been very efficient at resolving any issues we may have raised or at advising on any queries we may have had.
The management team is very professional and welcoming.
The team in preschool is extremely resourceful and is providing a great learning and entertaining environment for the children they care for. Upon leaving the nursery, the children have acquired a wide range of skills and are very well equipped socially to successfully transition to their future school environment.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery.
All the staff at Windmill Hill are very welcoming and friendly to both me and my daughter. My daughter's key worker is absolutely amazing, couldn’t fault her at all!
We have been extremely happy with the care and dedication of the whole team and feel very satisfied that we chose the nursery to help with the development of our daughter in her early years. The 3 years she has spent at Windmill have been vital in her education and helped her prepare for school.
Windmill Hill nursery is the best there is. Every day is filled with so many interesting activities: painting, drawing, writing, dance, sport, experiments, building, baking and cooking!
My little one comes home so happy and stimulated it’s a joy to watch.
He has bonded with all of his teachers and begun beautiful friendships which I hope will last forever. You can also check your little one's progress via parent zone which is updated a few times a week with pictures and observations of your child.
The nursery menu changes frequently and always offers a fantastic range of seasonal, healthy homemade meals to suit even the fussiest eater.
Little ones are encouraged to be independent. They perfect their skills in getting changed by themselves (for PE) and in preparation for school, their use of knife and fork, and are rewarded for listening and tidying up.
I would have been lost without the help and encouragement from the staff at Windmill Hill Day Nursery. They made the transition from part-time to full-time so easy. Which meant my daughter settled quite quickly and I could return to work knowing she was well looked after. Thank you.
The staff are wonderful in all rooms, making my children feel confident and thoroughly enjoy their time spent there. They are always thinking up new activities and focus areas and target them to the child in terms of enjoyment and areas of progression.
My oldest is very well prepared and ready to start preschool on September which I would credit in a large part to the preschool team.
I would highly recommend them to friends, families and colleagues.
I have had 2 of my children attend this nursery, and both times I have been very pleased with the outcomes for them. They are confident and articulate for their age and development, this is down to the staff at Windmill Hill who have supported their needs to learn, they have stretched their brains!! I am pleased with how the staff welcome the children every morning, they are warm and pleased that they are there.
I have been really pleased with the external resources that they have used to get the preschoolers used to physical education in a statutory school setting, my daughter loves the football coach and really looks forward to wearing her football top to play. I would recommend this nursery and cannot say enough if you want your children to be well rounded young children, who socialise, learn and are able to go to school with the confidence to use these skills to push themselves, you will not be disappointed.
I would not hesitate to recommend Windmill to any prospective parents. Every single member of staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly and takes a genuine interest in you and your child. My daughter has attended the nursery since she was 4 months old and Windmill Hill has given her the best possible start in life. Her room is well staffed, nicely decorated, she has fresh Organic meals each day prepared from a menu that I can see in advance. She is cared for attentively and takes part in a variety of activities - details of which are shared with partners on your daily worksheet and also via the ParentZone app.
Our daughter loves Windmill Hill Nursery and has adjusted to going there really well. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend the nursery to others.
Very pleased with the nursery, my daughter struggled settling into her new room and the nursery was very accommodating to help her settle in, offering her extra settling in days, and I am happy to say these were brilliant, and she is now very happy in her new room.
