We would definitely recommend Windmill Hill Day Nursery. We have 4 children and 3 of them have been to Windmill Hill since babies with our 4th starting in September, they have been there all the way through from the babies room up to preschool. The nursery itself is lovely and all the staff are absolutely
fantastic, our children have developed a lovely bond with the staff and especially their key workers. The activities and equipment for the children is varied and fun but also educational, so not only do they have a great day but they learn so much too. There's not a single negative thing I could think of to say!

The Windmill Hill Nursery has been nothing but amazing for my little one, her journey has been an absolute pleasure and she has loved every second of it. The staff have been lovely and I have not had a single bad experience whilst my little one has been there. Also, the communication and weekly updates
are very helpful. Would 100% recommend Windmill Hill Nursery.

This nursery has been amazing for my oldest who is sadly leaving for school this year, staff are all very friendly and helpful with any concerns. Have also started sending my youngest (11 months) who they’ve also been great with!

Both of my daughters have attended Windmill Hill nursery. My eldest now 10 years old started here when she was 3. She attended 2 days a week and my youngest who is due to leave to start school in September 2021 currently attends 3 days. Both daughters have found the staff really lovely, understanding
and very caring. They are always made to feel welcome in the morning and know they will have days filled with fun. My youngest goes in with a beaming smile every time. The whole nursery has a lovely feel to it and I have recommended Windmill Hill to a few of my friends and they also agree they made the right choice choosing this nursery to care for their children.

Our son has been going to Windmill Hill Nursery since he was about 18 months old and his experience has got better and better. The staff have all been helpful and kind and really helped him settle in. They have taken the time to get to know him and his interests, and now in pre-school, he is ready for
big school. Everyone has been lovely to deal with and always happy to give their time.

Both of our children have gone to Windmill Hill nursery. I love the staff and the facilities. My 3 year old already knows all of his numbers, colours, letters and how to spell his name. My son loves the garden and has made many friends. Hopefully, lifelong friends, which is my daughter's experience.
She's now eight and still sees her best friend from Windmill Hill on a regular basis. I went to look at lots of nurseries and chose Windmill Hill because of the hours (longer than everyone else) the homely feel, the genuine staff and chef-like food. What more could you ask for!

Our son has enjoyed his time at Windmill and I cannot fault anything about the nursery. The staff are so lovely, very welcoming and approachable. The nursery is super organised and the communication with the parents is brilliant. Even during the lockdown, we received regular updates and general check-ins
from the staff asking how our son was doing. The return to nursery has been tough for everyone. Our son was very anxious after months of being off with Mummy and Daddy 24/7 but his room key workers have been brilliant and he now getting better at drop-offs. He definitely has a soft spot for his current key worker. She knows I like the see how our son has settled, so she puts daily observations on the parents' app which gives me massive reassurance that he is happy when inside the room. I know the support that our son is getting now in preschool will stand him in good stead for when he starts school in September. I have recommended Windmill Hill to many friends. Thanks, Windmill for taking such good care of my boys.

My son has been happily attending Windmill Hill Day Nursery since Caterpillars. He is now in Pre-school and I feel the support, teaching and development offered is outstanding. The nursery has adapted superbly to COVID restrictions, clearly informing parents when and where possible, all whilst helping
my son still feel normality and growth. I applaud the key workers, management and all the support staff for not just helping as a parent be reassured my son is in good hands but more importantly, helping my son have life-developing experiences and now grow towards a school time structure.

Fantastic all-round care. The staff have been amazing since my child joined. My child has had an amazing time and made good friends. My little boy has been at the Windmill Hill nursery since May 2018 and has been extremely happy in every room, with all the staff being brilliant. He's due to leave preschool in a few months and is thriving - his confidence at every level is gaining and I feel he is fully prepared for embarking on his
journey to school. He's made some brilliant friends and loves going in each day. Meals are healthy and diverse and he always has seconds. I would have no problem recommending the nursery to anyone.

We are very pleased with the nursery, who looked after both our boys, over the years. We knew they were in good hands and felt assured knowing they were safe and happy there. The staff are qualified and caring. The nursery contributed hugely to our sons’ development, including special education needs.

I have sent both my sons to Windmill Hill and we absolutely love it. Both have been completely cared for and looked after to a high standard. My eldest took a while to settle and has had a few issues with food but each classroom has been completely cooperative, considerate and patient with him, which
has excelled his confidence and improved his eating pattern. All staff members are so lovely, can’t fault them and they are so approachable and knowledgeable that I don’t think twice about asking them for more information if I need it. We’re having to move my youngest for personal reasons, we’ll be gutted on the last day but at least it leaves a place open for another family to be cared for and enjoy watching their own child grow.

Windmill Hil is a fantastic warm welcoming place for our daughters to play and learn. The staff have taken care to get to know them and are approachable, friendly and kind. The activities are imaginative, creative and challenging to support them to learn and develop. We feel they are safe and cared
for were lucky to have found Windmill and moved here. It's a step above anywhere else and gives such personal and learning-centric care, with great food, outdoor time and lovely people from reception to key workers.

My son started nursery at Windmill Hill on the 4th of September. There were a few minor issues but was promptly sorted. My son of 20 months settled in quickly thanks to the brilliant teachers and he grew in confidence and made friends easily. He enjoyed his days there and after settling in, looked forward
to going. I would recommend this nursery as the staff are friendly and have empathy for each child, management kept in contact with any new information and I enjoyed the parent zone app to keep a virtual eye on my son's day at nursery. Thank you.

I cannot praise the nursery enough. The staff are all amazing from being welcomed by the reception staff, to the room leads, room staff and management. Especially in such uncertain and often scary times, the nursery has given me confidence in the care they give my daughter. Since attending the nursery
my daughters development has come on leaps and bounds and she loved attending. We have had to leave the nursery due to relocation but if I’m lucky enough to find another nursery half as good I’ll be happy.

I had two of my children in this nursery for almost four years and I had no concerns whatsoever at any point. The staff just did an amazing job every day supporting our children's development on an emotional and intellectual level. Our kids were always very excited to go to nursery and had an excellent
relationship with carers. Admin staff and management have also been amazing - very approachable, responsive and supportive. All in all, I would recommend them to anyone.

My son attended Windmill Hill from 6 months old. It has given him the confidence to be around lots of people and he is an incredibly sociable little boy. We have used the nursery for 3 and a half years, since my daughter was just 8-months-old. The staff are amazing. As a family we really couldn’t of asked for anything more. Windmill Hill have supported our family not only through the first 4 years of our daughter's life but through our first 4 years
as parents. Every member of staff has always made drop-off/pick-up easy with a warm welcome and a smile. Thank you Windmill Hill, I couldn’t thank you enough. I would highly recommend you to anyone.

Amazing Nursery! Would highly recommend. My daughter started off very unsure and didn’t like going to nursery. Over the months the staff have been amazing building her confidence up and developing her skills along the way. Her speech has improved massively and this is all down to the wonderful staff.
She now loves going to nursery and can’t wait to return.

Kayleigh is the Manager of Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 20 years. Kayleigh joined Childbase in 2014 and has completed her BTEC National Diploma in Early Years.


What is your favourite feature of Windmill Hill?
The nursery is surrounded by beautiful outdoor environments which create amazing learning opportunities for the children, for example, the nature trail which the children love to explore. The nursery is also on one level which enables the children to have free-flow opportunities in our garden areas throughout the day.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
Recently achieving outstanding in our Ofsted inspection, and the staff’s personal pride in their own professional development through completing degrees and online training. This is also shown through our internal progressions across the nursery.
