Windmill Hill Day Nursery (Swindon)

The nursery has been great, the staff are fantastic. My daughter has learnt so much and is ready to start school. Couldn't ask for much more. A massive thank you.

My son absolutely loved his time at this nursery. He started with Windmill Hill when he was not even 2 years old and now he is going to school this year being very well prepared and confident. A huge thank you to all the nursery staff for their hard work and patience.

Windmill Hill have provided our daughter with a wonderful pre school experience. They have encouraged her to flourish and grow in confidence alongside her peers as well as prepare her for school. They have identified her strengths and have used them to develop areas of need. Our daughter has been extremely happy in this friendly, warm and nurturing environment and we can't thank the staff at the nursery enough! We would recommend them without hesitation.

All in all an excellent nursery - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

I have found all the staff at the nursery to be friendly and helpful. The administrator has been amazing at helping with any queries I have had and has made the completion of paperwork etc much easier.

The settling in visits for my child at each room change has been extremely helpful and the daily updates the team provide me with are useful.

Parents' evenings are beneficial and informative, as are the online updates about my child.

My son has been attending Windmill Hill day nursery since just before his first birthday until he leaves this September to start school. Throughout his time at the nursery, he has learned and developed so much and all the staff within each of the rooms he has gone into has really helped him progress and gain his confidence. He has made some lovely friends and has built some close bonds with some of the nursery staff which is so lovely. All the staff are willing and encouraging to help and push with his development and always looking at new ways and ideas to teach the children. He will surely be sad to leave in August as he's had a fab 4 years at the nursery.

My daughter started at Windmill Hill when she was 9 months old. We had looked around other nurseries but when we visited Windmill we knew this was the one. The staff are wonderful. Everyone is friendly. It is clean and very professional. I love being sent updates about what activities my daughter has done that day. The facilities are brilliant and there is a lovely garden for the children to play in. It is a brilliant nursery I highly recommend Windmill Hill

Our son has been attending Windmill Hill Day Nursery for the last 3 years and even though he only attends once a week, he has been fully supported by the various number of friendly and attentive staff based there. He is given a broad range of learning activities to participate in and is actively encouraged to engage with the other children in his class to further build on his social skills. The Parent Zone app that is also offered is of great use and we can see how he is progressing in real-time with supporting photos and evidence which we can also contribute to.

Our son has loved attending Windmill Hill Day Nursery. The rooms and outdoor spaces are well designed and fully equipped for play and learning. The staff (including support staff) are highly trained, professional, friendly, caring and helpful. There is a real family atmosphere and lots of opportunity for parents, carers etc to get involved in various activities at the nursery. Our son's development and learning has really progressed during his time at Windmill Hill Day Nursery. We are kept up-to-date on his progress and we can log into an app to see what he has been doing. He has made lots of friends and looks forward to spending time there.

My daughter loved going to nursery at Windmill Hill Day Nursery. All the staff were friendly and very welcoming. I was surprised at how quickly she seemed to settle and the staff took the time to know her. There was plenty of things for her to do and I like that when I picked her up there was always someone there to tell me about my daughters day.

My granddaughter is extremely happy at this nursery and will be very sad to leave when she starts school in September. She has learnt so much since attending from 9 months old. The staff are all very dedicated and always want the best for the children. It is a very happy environment at all times.

Since my little girl has gone to windmill nursery, she has grown and blossomed into a wonderful, intelligent girl. This is largely down to the staff at windmill hill who have always encouraged and coordinated with us. Thank you for all your hard work and attention to every child you care for.

Going back from maternity leave is so hard for every mum, but Windmill Hill have made such a huge change so much easier. My daughter has been looked after so well, and they really take into consideration her individual needs and in turn have helped her to settle into a brand new environment very quickly! The staff show that they genuinely care about her and for this reason I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone.

My 3 year old son started at Windmill Hill in December, previously changing from a different nursery. He has really come out of himself and is much more confident already, and the lovely bonus ss everyone is saying this to us. The staff have really helped him settle in and are all friendly. My son loves telling us about the different foods he has had and activities. We were impressed with the length of settling in too, moving him was a difficult decision but we were unhappy with his previous nursery. Windmill Hill have helped us as well as my son for a smooth transition.

Both our daughters enjoyed their time at Windmill - the staff were always genuinely caring and kept us fully up to date. We saw a huge growth in confidence and skills in both girls during their time, and both developed lovely friendships as well.

Both of my daughters attended Windmill Hill until they moved on to the school they were going to attend preschool.

With both of my children I had a great experience, the staff are so lovely, we appreciate everything they all did for us to make our experience so good.

Had a fairly good experience at windmill hill nursery. There is room for improvement but overall it’s a very good nursery.

Absolutely love this nursery, the only reason I am no longer using it is due to my change of employment and I don’t drive. My little boy has loved every day he has been there, a huge shame to be moving on. Highly recommend!

My little girl has settled really well at Windmill Hill Day Nursery, a total credit to the wonderful staff who greet her with a smile each morning and plenty of great fun distractions. Communication flow is great too, I feel fully informed and can check on My little girl’s progress via an online platform, with tons of lovely happy play pictures.

Placing my son into full-time care and returning back to work was a challenge for both myself and my son after 12months maternity. My child took a long time (approx 4months to truly settle) However the staff were amazing! They handled the situation and supported my son every step of the way. He’s now extremely comfortable at Windmill Hill Day Nursery and made lots of new friends.
