My daughter attended Windmill Hill for 3 years and I can honestly say they are the most fantastic nursery. The staff are all wonderful, they give them fantastic dinners, everything included in the price which makes it so easy for working parents. My daughter was always really happy there, did lots of great activities, learned so much e.g. writing her name, recognising letters and also made lots of friends. Couldn't rate it highly enough!

My son had the best experience here, he was in 5 days a week and never grew bored, there were activities to get involved in from the moment her got there in the morning until he left.
In his final year in the preschool setting, he learnt so much and the staff really bought out his love of nature and creatures, he really was ready for school by the time he left despite being the youngest.
Their outstanding rating is most definitely deserved it’s a wonderful place for any child to be.
My son has attended Windmill Hill since he was 13 months old, having just left following a successful year in Preschool. I can only commend this establishment in the highest regard, for the care and development of my child's education and in his individual persona. He is now ready for his journey...
At every stage of his time at Windmill, his key workers have genuinely cared for his welfare and development. All staff from the management, administrative and key workers are welcoming and clearly have a passion for their jobs and understand the importance of the role they play. I was always made to feel welcome, and staff provided structured feedback. I have always felt a strong partnership between the nursery and parents with regard to the development of the children in their care. This is borne out of an outstanding Ofsted report.

Our son has come on so much since joining and we wish he had longer there as the staff are brilliant and so attentive. Thank you!

My son started going to Windmill in January. He previously attended a different nursery and was struggling with self-regulation, separation anxiety and more. The staff at Windmill is more than amazing. They supported him/us in every step since he joined and I can honestly say that they made a big difference. He finally started to enjoy nursery and drop-off is stress-free now. I am so thankful for all the support given from everyone. I just registered my 1 year old with Windmill too. Highly recommend.

My kids have attended the nursery since early 2016, over the period of time, the nursery has changed/improved. The resources at the nursery are fantastic - the kids have messy play everyday. The garden is fantastic and my daughter loved bikes, mud kitchen and numerous painting activities. The opening hours are excellent (7.30 am to 6.30pm). Food and staff is lovely! I have recommended the nursery to friends.
Both of my children have attended Windmill Hill, and they have had the best time while here. As soon as I walked in on the initial visit I knew this was exactly where I wanted my children to go. The love and care for the children is abundantly clear to see from everyone working there. The support...
The food supplied is also fantastic, and love that it is cooked on site which was one of the things that I liked when choosing this nursery.
Thank you for all the support and love you have given to all the family over the years we’ve been with you!

From the moment I stepped up to the door the difference was night and day. Every single member of staff, without exception, is fantastic. They all genuinely care about the well-being of the children and they aren't just a number, this isn't just a job to them. They do an incredible job at stimulating the children with their interests, active listening, curiosity, wildlife and science. They also encourage self and life skills which are so often missed around feelings, friendships, values and self-sufficiency.
I could not recommend this nursery, the staff or the start they've given to our daughter more highly. It came as no surprise when they were rated as outstanding, we already knew they were.

There is always something new and interesting for our daughter to explore and she has developed in so many ways since she joined.
I would highly recommend the setting to anyone!

Both my kids started their journeys at Windmill Hill Day Nursery since they were one. My youngest is graduating in August and going off to reception. I can honestly say that it's been the best experience for them and me as a parent to know that the kids are well looked after and fully prepared to start school. The nursery opening times are fantastic and really fit with parents at full time work. Everything is covered from food, nappies even sun cream in the summer so we really don't have to worry about a thing. The kids also learn so much at nursery and my daughter who is 4 already knows all the sounds of the alphabet, they also help with emotional care. All in all, I don't think there's a better nursery out there and would recommend (and have already recommended to a few other parents) to anyone who is considering. My daughter's preschool has already been awarded the best preschool of the year and it's great to know that the achievements are reflected.
A really well organised establishment and lots of attention given to our son, who was quite emotional about going to a new nursery. He has thoroughly enjoyed his time there and seems to come home every day with a story about his day/what he's learnt.

My daughter attended Windmill Hill Day Nursery from the age of 1 right up to starting school and has learnt and developed so much since being there. In each room the key workers understand each child's development and capabilities and their own learning is set around that, working with parents too,...
We’ve been through the challenges of a typical baby/toddler not wanting us to leave her, not wanting to go or stay there which can make a drop-off hard, but when that’s happened the staff have always been amazing in helping her settle and distracting her whilst we leave. This has become a lot easier and less frequent as she’s grown!
Her confidence has also grown loads, from being around other children and the key workers and the activities that are put on. She often comes home acting out her day, or telling us what she’s learnt.
The nursery is run really efficiently and has a lovely welcoming feel.
100% recommend!

Windmill Hill Nursery from day one has been absolutely fantastic! I got recommended by a friend for how great of a nursery it was and it surely did not disappoint. My son started at 7 months old and now is 18 months and due to circumstances changing he completed his last session this week. The team kept us well informed at all times with any changes at the nursery and the ladies in the room with my son taught him very well and as parents, we have seen him develop so much over this time, and we are so grateful for how happy he was every day there and enjoyed his time! If our circumstances were to change again we will be back.

All the staff are very friendly and have always been extremely supportive through changes made to the days she attends.
My daughter's confidence has grown so much as I know that her attending this nursery has a huge part to play.
The varied activities on offer each day means my daughter often runs into the room in excitement as she sees the various new daily activities on display.
Extra care is given when allowing the children to play outside in this warm weather with ensuring sun lotion is applied and hats, provided by the nursery, are worn. This provides me as a parent, peace of mind
Overall we have had a great experience with Windmill Hill Day Nursery.
I cannot fault the nursery! My son started nursery just before his 1st birthday and will be leaving to go to school in September. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, my son built a special relationship with each of his key people (and all other staff members). The activities that the children...

Windmill Hill Day Nursery is a lovely nursery. The staff in all the rooms, and the admin staff, are friendly and approachable. We are always greeted warmly and the rooms provide a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for the children. Our children’s key workers have taken time to get to know our children’s individual needs, likes and dislikes and have used this to plan really fun and engaging activities for them. We have received so much help as parents from support with nap times and potty training to support with funding. The feedback the nursery staff provide us with is brilliant, it’s lovely seeing how well our children are getting on and looking at pictures of the activities they do. We would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents.

We have had no issues and both my children have thoroughly enjoyed their time they have spent there. My daughter who is due to leave for school in September has developed skills already that she would be learning in reception when she joins the school. Thank you to all of the staff who have played an important part in my children's lives over the years. I would recommend the nursery to any parent or carer and can not thank the nursery enough for helping my children grow into the children they are today.
