Our daughter has just moved to Windmill Hill from a different nursery and we have been very impressed by both the staff and facilities. The free access to the garden every day is a great feature, and we love that our daughter is encouraged to enjoy her own interests within the room. The staff have all been very welcoming to her and us and she has settled really quickly as a result. It’s also been much easier to sort out the administration than in the previous setting thanks to an efficient and visible team. We are very pleased to have moved.
Thank you Windmill Hill and team.
I have been lucky enough to have 2 of my 3 children attend Windmill Hill. The nursery has been everything you would want and I felt more than comfortable leaving my children there from the age of 6 months. The staff are all very friendly from when you walk in the door to the drop off in the room. The online updates are great and the little touches of gifts on Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas etc are so thoughtful. My eldest daughter started school this year and she was so prepared and settled in brilliantly thanks to the preparation by the pre-school teachers. I would definitely recommend this nursery.
Amazing nursery, we have had to take our daughter out while I’m on maternity leave which was not an easy decision as we love the staff and the nursery itself. Our daughter is so happy there and really thrived.
Everyone at the nursery is so kind and supportive. She had lots of settling-in sessions when initially going into the baby room, which really helped ease her in.
She gets to take part in so many activities, and especially loves singing and signing! The encouragement she has got from her key workers and the team in each room is fantastic. They have got to know her so well and really know where she needs a little extra support.
The nursery is really well organised, the meals she receives are great and we are kept well informed of the fun activities she’s doing as well as her overall development.
She has gained so much confidence since being at Windmill Hill. Unfortunately due to us relocating she will be leaving soon. I really don’t know how any other nursery is going to live up to it!
Both our boys had a great time at Windmill Hill and the staff have been brilliant in helping them settle in and also with their development. The team made us feel comfortable when our eldest started given his health complications by completing the required medical training and it never seemed an issue to provide the extra care he needed. Whenever we have had an issue they were addressed appropriately by management to help find a resolution. We would recommend Windmill Hill to anyone as overall the team do a fantastic job and we’re glad our boys went here.
I have 6 children and have experienced many different nursery's. Windmill hill stands out above all, it really is all round amazing. My daughter was extremely anxious to start nursery but settled quickly with the help of friendly staff and plenty of fun and educational things to do. Parents are constantly kept up to date with the progress of child and what they have been up to. My daughter will really miss this nursery, she has come on leaps and bounds since she started.
This nursery has been absolutely fantastic for my children, both my boys have now been to Windmill and I cannot fault it. The care they give to the children is something you can only hope for when leaving them with others! They go above and beyond to make sure the child is happy and well looked after. Great activity variation and my son always comes home with some fab arts and crafts!
I cannot fault this nursery at all.
My son has attended this nursery for the last 2 years. We have had fantastic experiences in all rooms and the staff have really helped develop my son's skills, speaking etc. It has such a relaxed homely feel yet still being professional and following all government guidelines. It is apparent that the child's needs are put first and listened to. It's hard to be apart from your child but they make you feel at ease that they are being well looked after.
Our daughter has had a wonderful 3 years at Windmill Hill, all the practitioners have gone above and beyond to make sure she was happy and had great learning opportunities within her play, even having outside companies to come in. The food menu is amazing and is changed to accommodate her preferences while still having all the nutrients.
We can’t thank Windmill Hill enough for all they have done.
We moved to the area in February and the nursery were great in supporting us in our move and to help our son settle in. In his 8 months at the nursery his confidence has grown and he has developed so much. On every collection I have always been made to feel that every worker cares for our son and picking him up and seeing him interact with his new friends has been the best part of my days. Thank you Windmill Hill!
I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. It is apparent that what they care about the most is children's wellbeing. The staff is willing to go the extra mile for every child. They helped us feel supported every step of the way and always offered a friendly advice. Our eldest loved the atmosphere and always looked forward to going to nursery. He's graduated now, but his sister will continue attending. This is the best start in education our children could've possibly had and we will always remain grateful for the staff's hard work in achieving this.
The decision we made to choose this nursery was the right one. Our child was really attached to us, and because of Covid time, there was no other social connection. It was just the two of us in his world. We were concerned about how he would adjust to life without seeing us. Fortunately, we were given some time during his settling-in sessions, and we gradually left. He began to enjoy the nursery. We feel more at ease because the phone app receives regular updates on how he is doing at nursery. The staff is really understanding and helpful. His social skills and communication greatly improved. He made pals there and discovered how to go longer than five hours without running into us. Huge thanks to the nursery team for taking care of our child and providing him the best place to grow.
My daughter attended Windmill Hill for 3 years and I can honestly say they are the most fantastic nursery. The staff are all wonderful, they give them fantastic dinners, everything included in the price which makes it so easy for working parents. My daughter was always really happy there, did lots of great activities, learned so much e.g. writing her name, recognising letters and also made lots of friends. Couldn't rate it highly enough!
My son had the best experience here, he was in 5 days a week and never grew bored, there were activities to get involved in from the moment her got there in the morning until he left.
In his final year in the preschool setting, he learnt so much and the staff really bought out his love of nature and creatures, he really was ready for school by the time he left despite being the youngest.
Their outstanding rating is most definitely deserved it’s a wonderful place for any child to be.
At every stage of his time at Windmill, his key workers have genuinely cared for his welfare and development. All staff from the management, administrative and key workers are welcoming and clearly have a passion for their jobs and understand the importance of the role they play. I was always made to feel welcome, and staff provided structured feedback. I have always felt a strong partnership between the nursery and parents with regard to the development of the children in their care. This is borne out of an outstanding Ofsted report.
And has thoroughly enjoyed his time at Windmill Hill Day Nursery.
All the members of staff have been fantastic supportive and caring. Thank you.
Our son has come on so much since joining and we wish he had longer there as the staff are brilliant and so attentive. Thank you!
My son started going to Windmill in January. He previously attended a different nursery and was struggling with self-regulation, separation anxiety and more. The staff at Windmill is more than amazing. They supported him/us in every step since he joined and I can honestly say that they made a big difference. He finally started to enjoy nursery and drop-off is stress-free now. I am so thankful for all the support given from everyone. I just registered my 1 year old with Windmill too. Highly recommend.
