Located on the Cambridgeshire Business Park – just five minutes from Ely trains station and situated within the grounds of Cambridgeshire Business Park. An excellent location for parents working in the area or commuting. The nursery provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The modern purpose-built nursery is set in its own self-contained building and gardens. All age groups benefit form Bright Horizons extensive Growing Enhancements programmes to provide learning and developments in fields such as Reading, Writing, Maths, Sports, Science, IT and Art. The nursery is well-equipped, featuring the latest in early years and educational equipment. The outdoor space is ideal for children of all ages, which are well-resourced and provide opportunities for learning outside.

With all-inclusive fees, which means less to pack on a busy morning, their onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to the chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

Wonderful setting, friendly and knowledgeable staff and an excellent level of care. They also are really efficient at all the admin side of things as well, which is rare in a childcare place, in my experience.


My son has been there one month and settled down really quickly and that’s entirely down

to the wonderful staff. They are attentive, friendly and look after every child like it’s their own. They’re brilliant and I’m so grateful I found this place.

My daughter has been attending nursery for almost a year now.


She thoroughly enjoys attending and as parents, we could not be happier with the setting and the care they provide.


The environment is bright and stimulating, the meals prepared are all freshly cooked and the staff are absolutely fantastic.

My son actually does not want to come back home with me, which is not like him at all and this fills me with confidence that he loves the place where he spends the day.

Bright Horizons, Ely Day Nursery has been instrumental in the development of my sons verbal, social and emotional skills. He attends two mornings a week and completely blossomed under their care. The staff is very friendly and never fails to greet us warmly. We are quite happy with the care he receives.

Both my daughters have blossomed at nursery. The staff are brilliant, developing close relationships with the children and always coming up with fun activities (normally messier than I would have done at home!). The food is very healthy and they eat well there. I highly recommend this nursery.

Very happy with Bright Horizons Ely. However the playground is in desperate need of a power wash. My daughter is coming home really dirty. Apart from this very happy.

Staff are friendly, approachable and accommodating.


My child has a food allergy and this is met by the nursery, but sometimes the food choices for him are not very wide-ranging. I understand this as it can be difficult to accommodate.

My son started at Bright Horizons Ely at the beginning of the year (age 8 months). Although we still cry at each drop off it gives me confidence that he’s enjoyed his day at nursery with the progress reports and photos I receive on a regular basis. The staff in the Caterpillar room are so friendly and
attentive to the children. They make you feel welcome each morning. My son loves looking out the door and waving to the other staff members of the nursery. It’s important to know that the other staff members have a connection with your child outside of the classroom teachers. My son has developed so much since attending nursery. I appreciate the fresh meals made each day for my son’s nutrition. The only thing I wish could be better is the outdoor time/space for the babies as my son loves to be outside.

So pleased I followed my instinct and chose this nursery. The staff are amazing and hard working for both children and the parents. Nothing's ever any trouble and I know my child is in great care. All the staff at the nursery have been great at settling my daughter into the new environment. She looks forward to going to nursery and is happy for us to leave. She has grown so much in confidence in the short time that she has been there and her speech has come on leaps and bounds. She enjoys all
the activities that they put on for the children and is starting to make friends.


We can't thank the staff enough for making the transition into nursery as great as it has been and for helping her feel comfortable for us to leave without her crying. They were great in the first few weeks when she was sad that we'd left, they'd give us a phone call to reassure us that she was happy and enjoying herself which really put our minds at ease.

Our son attends one day a week, so it's taken some time for him to settle. The staff are totally fantastic - despite the fact he isn't there every day, everyone is very aware of his needs, his personality, what he likes, and how to make sure he's enjoying himself. They are proactive if they have concerns
about any aspect of his development, and communication is really good. Cannot recommend highly enough.

An outstanding nursery! My son spent 4 happy years here and my daughter is loving her time here too. The staff cannot be faulted. They are kind, helpful, professional, highly trained and build fabulous relationships with the children and parents. I can't recommend them highly enough.

We are always impressed by the diligence and care that the team in Caterpillars and Ladybirds have for our children. This also goes for all of the staff. The team are absolutely on point when it comes to meeting the dietary needs of individual children. Our children have developed beyond our expectations.
They balance fun, play and learning, building our children’s confidence and social interactions. Learning, boundaries and play keep our children safe, educated and engaged at the nursery. The team are interested, knowledgeable and reassuringly confident in their skills and experience. We couldn’t ask for a better nursery. Thank you as always for being so supportive, consistent and motivated for the benefit of our children’s development.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I started working with the company in 2002, where I started as a level 2 nursery nurse. I trained on the job to complete my level 3 NVQ, and a short while after, I was promoted to the role of room supervisor in the Early Pre-School room. In 2011, I left the nursery to gain experience in another setting. I returned to the nursery in 2012 as the baby room leader and completed my NVQ level 4 in child care, the following year, I was promoted to Third in charge of the nursery.


I thoroughly enjoyed my role as a room leader but was looking for a new challenge so I applied for the role of deputy manager and I was successful. I have been the deputy manager at Ely Day Nursery since October 2014 and I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of my job- I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Hello, I am Chloe the Deputy Manager.


I joined Ely Day Nursery in October 2023 having previously worked in childcare for 11 years. I wanted to step into a management position in order to support staff, parents and children achieve, learn and develop.
Since joining I have enjoyed learning so much more about childcare and development through the range of support Bright Horizons offers.
I love how busy the setting is as well as how welcoming everyone was both in the setting as well as throughout the company.


The thing I enjoy the most about my job is building a foundation for children to enhance their skills and development their imagination.
