Located on the Cambridgeshire Business Park – just five minutes from Ely trains station and situated within the grounds of Cambridgeshire Business Park. An excellent location for parents working in the area or commuting. The nursery provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The modern purpose-built nursery is set in its own self-contained building and gardens. All age groups benefit form Bright Horizons extensive Growing Enhancements programmes to provide learning and developments in fields such as Reading, Writing, Maths, Sports, Science, IT and Art. The nursery is well-equipped, featuring the latest in early years and educational equipment. The outdoor space is ideal for children of all ages, which are well-resourced and provide opportunities for learning outside.

With all-inclusive fees, which means less to pack on a busy morning, their onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to the chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

I could not recommend this nursery enough. My little boy has thrived and it is a wonderful thing to see. All of the carers are exactly that - so caring. I am expecting at the moment and I know exactly where this one will be going when I have to go back to work - it will be one of the best things that

Very happy with the facilities, care and management at Bright Horizons Ely. The Management is excellent and as a working parent, I find they have made it a very easy transition with our child settling into the nursery. The outdoor area is the only part I feel could be improved for the babies.

Bright Horizons is incredibly convenient for us. However, it significantly lacks in outdoor activities and time and the staff (except a few including one in particular who is excellent) appear demotivated. There is also a high staff turnover with often new staff we don’t recognise looking after the
children.

Amazing nursery - I was so anxious about going back to work but the manager and all of the staff helped put my mind at ease and offered taster sessions to suit our needs.

My son has attended this nursery since he was 7 months old. All of the rooms he has been in have been great. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. They organise fun and engaging activities for the children, no two days ever seem to be the same. The nursery setting works well, all
rooms are large and bright with high ceilings. The nursery manager is great, she is always open to a chat and you know she will definitely action anything you ask of her.
Would I recommend this nursery, yes definitely I have on numerous occasions!

Bright Horizons is a great nursery where our daughter benefits from a range of learning and development activities, staff who are caring, well trained and motivated and a clear and supported progression route through the different stages/age groups.
Staff are friendly and always available to discuss
development and will always aim to action specific requests for areas of development. Parents evenings are arranged to give focused time to discuss this. Updates are sent regularly to give parents an idea of what is happening throughout the nursery.
Meals and menus are well received and there are lots of different activities and themed days throughout the year. Our daughter loves going to nursery and has a great relationship with the staff.

This is a very welcoming and friendly nursery. I have three children who have all been to the nursery, with the youngest starting just two months ago. My experience of the nursery goes back to 2011 when my eldest started at 8 months old. The staff are very professional and caring and really do get
to know your child well. My children have always felt safe and cared for whilst at nursery and I have always had full confidence in the staff and in leaving my children in their care. My youngest found settling in at nursery tricky and often cried when I was leaving but the staff always made me feel confident in their ability to calm him and even made a poster for me with lots of pictures of him smiling and enjoying himself so I could see he was fine after I left. My children have always had fun and made lots of great friends at Ely Day Nursery and I would really recommend them to anyone.

The preschool staff are warm, caring and professional. I am impressed with the staff's dedication.

This is a wonderful day nursery for my daughter. The staff are wonderful and really work hard on making sure there are plenty of activities to help the children's development. The activities provided are brilliant and help the children learn new skills.
The staff have also helped to build my daughters
confidence and social skills. They work closely alongside her, understanding her needs and further her developmental skills where they can.

Our son has been in Penguins for around 6 months. Over this period his development has progressed noticeably. His speech, language, social interaction, humour and behaviour have matured and developed by an account of the support, learning activities and commitment that Ely Day Nursery provide. We couldn't

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I started working with the company in 2002, where I started as a level 2 nursery nurse. I trained on the job to complete my level 3 NVQ, and a short while after, I was promoted to the role of room supervisor in the Early Pre-School room. In 2011, I left the nursery to gain experience in another setting. I returned to the nursery in 2012 as the baby room leader and completed my NVQ level 4 in child care, the following year, I was promoted to Third in charge of the nursery.


I thoroughly enjoyed my role as a room leader but was looking for a new challenge so I applied for the role of deputy manager and I was successful. I have been the deputy manager at Ely Day Nursery since October 2014 and I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of my job- I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Hello, I am Chloe the Deputy Manager.


I joined Ely Day Nursery in October 2023 having previously worked in childcare for 11 years. I wanted to step into a management position in order to support staff, parents and children achieve, learn and develop.
Since joining I have enjoyed learning so much more about childcare and development through the range of support Bright Horizons offers.
I love how busy the setting is as well as how welcoming everyone was both in the setting as well as throughout the company.


The thing I enjoy the most about my job is building a foundation for children to enhance their skills and development their imagination.
