Bright Horizons Ely Day Nursery and Preschool

We are always impressed by the diligence and care that the team in Caterpillars and Ladybirds have for our children. This also goes for all of the staff. The team are absolutely on point when it comes to meeting the dietary needs of individual children. Our children have developed beyond our expectations. They balance fun, play and learning, building our children’s confidence and social interactions. Learning, boundaries and play keep our children safe, educated and engaged at the nursery. The team are interested, knowledgeable and reassuringly confident in their skills and experience. We couldn’t ask for a better nursery. Thank you as always for being so supportive, consistent and motivated for the benefit of our children’s development.

I could not recommend this nursery enough. My little boy has thrived and it is a wonderful thing to see. All of the carers are exactly that - so caring. I am expecting at the moment and I know exactly where this one will be going when I have to go back to work - it will be one of the best things that I can do for them.

Very happy with the facilities, care and management at Bright Horizons Ely. The Management is excellent and as a working parent, I find they have made it a very easy transition with our child settling into the nursery. The outdoor area is the only part I feel could be improved for the babies.

I'm very impressed by the nursery staff and the amount of time they spend considering the environment each and every child will encounter during their time at the nursery.

Bright Horizons is incredibly convenient for us. However, it significantly lacks in outdoor activities and time and the staff (except a few including one in particular who is excellent) appear demotivated. There is also a high staff turnover with often new staff we don’t recognise looking after the children.

We have used Bright Horizons for the last 7 years for both of our children. The nursery and staff are fantastic, very caring and the environment is brilliant. We have seen the nursery go from strength to strength and will be very sad to leave when our youngest goes to school in September.

My son has developed so much since starting. All of the staff are so friendly, the facilities are amazing and they really cater to every child's needs. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Would I recommend this nursery, yes definitely I have on numerous occasions!

My child enjoys the nursery very much and some days doesn't want to come home. Been there a long time so definitely ready for school, but will miss it. Carers are so nice.

Meals and menus are well received and there are lots of different activities and themed days throughout the year. Our daughter loves going to nursery and has a great relationship with the staff.

Before this my son also attended the setting and his care and learning was again exemplary.

This is a very welcoming and friendly nursery. I have three children who have all been to the nursery, with the youngest starting just two months ago. My experience of the nursery goes back to 2011 when my eldest started at 8 months old. The staff are very professional and caring and really do get to know your child well. My children have always felt safe and cared for whilst at nursery and I have always had full confidence in the staff and in leaving my children in their care. My youngest found settling in at nursery tricky and often cried when I was leaving but the staff always made me feel confident in their ability to calm him and even made a poster for me with lots of pictures of him smiling and enjoying himself so I could see he was fine after I left. My children have always had fun and made lots of great friends at Ely Day Nursery and I would really recommend them to anyone.

The staff have also helped to build my daughters confidence and social skills. They work closely alongside her, understanding her needs and further her developmental skills where they can.

Great, fun learning environment for all ages. The staff are wonderful with the kids, who all seem to love them. I was wary of nurseries as an environment for my children but now I would recommend Bright Horizons in Ely to anyone.

Our son has been in Penguins for around 6 months. Over this period his development has progressed noticeably. His speech, language, social interaction, humour and behaviour have matured and developed by an account of the support, learning activities and commitment that Ely Day Nursery provide. We couldn't be more happy with the dedication and level of engagement that he receives from all the staff at the nursery/ We are always welcomed with a smile at drop off and pick up times. The energy and effort put into ensuring a safe, fun and rich learning environment is provided is evident.
