Located on the Cambridgeshire Business Park – just five minutes from Ely trains station and situated within the grounds of Cambridgeshire Business Park. An excellent location for parents working in the area or commuting. The nursery provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The modern purpose-built nursery is set in its own self-contained building and gardens. All age groups benefit form Bright Horizons extensive Growing Enhancements programmes to provide learning and developments in fields such as Reading, Writing, Maths, Sports, Science, IT and Art. The nursery is well-equipped, featuring the latest in early years and educational equipment. The outdoor space is ideal for children of all ages, which are well-resourced and provide opportunities for learning outside.

With all-inclusive fees, which means less to pack on a busy morning, their onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to the chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

The standard of care afforded to our children has been excellent. After having one child attend the nursery for four years (and who has now moved to school) and another who has just finished in the Baby Room; we feel extremely positive about the nursery.


We are always confident that the staff will

give our daughter the care and affection that we want for her. The staff are genuinely caring and have an excellent relationship with parents.


The leadership of the nursery is very good, the manager is always very accommodating and helpful.


I highly recommend this nursery and am more than confident in recommending it to other parents.

Our daughter started at the nursery at 5 months old, and has been made to feel loved and valued ever since. The relationships the staff build with the children are phenomenal and our daughter chatters about her key workers all the time. She is always happy to go to nursery, and enjoys a huge range of
activities there, including lots of time outside in the garden, cooking, painting, singing and dancing. Each child is recognised as an individual, and made to feel special. The management have built an excellent team, who clearly enjoy their work, and work well together to create a nurturing environment for the children. We have sent both our children to Bright Horizons Ely and would happily recommend it to other parents.

Bright Horizons Ely is outstanding in every way. We are regularly blown away by the care and attention they give to our son, from looking after his emotional needs by comforting him and exciting him as appropriate, to the many, many exercises and activities the staff provide to challenge and enthuse
him. The staff are all incredibly committed, clearly thrive on what they do, and are excited to share what our son has been doing each day. Equally, when there are problems, be they minor issues of the day or a more long-term trend, they are keen to discuss these with us to support us in making improvements, all of which is incredibly valued. The management help us with our irregular weekly patterns of usage and seem to make space where there can't be any to accommodate us at times. The management clearly has a wonderful relationship with the staff which is evident at the brilliant annual summer party. We have been spoiled by how great Bright Horizons Ely have been.

I would definitely recommend Ely Day Nursery to anyone! Very welcoming and lovely environment. Today I had my little boy's induction day, which I was quite nervous about discussing leaving my son in the Nursery's care, but after walking into the nursery, we both felt very comfortable with the bubbly
staff. My little boy had his induction morning in the baby room and they made us feel very comfortable and welcomed us in a happy manner. They made me and my son feel confident and I was happy to leave him in their care, lots of reassurance given towards me!

I absolutely love this nursery for my daughter. She is thriving and never had an issue settling in. She enjoys the teachers, the freedom to learn and play and her friends. I love how she has liberty to gravitate toward activities of her interest. She has the freedom to participate in messy/sensory play
as well as technical learning on the computer.


The staff are professional and are consistently conscious of the primary focus, the children. Bright Horizons is a stellar nursery.

I have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to any of my close friends or family members. Excellent staff who go above and beyond their job role making sure each child is happy and well looked after. They always report incidents/illness's very well even if that means leaving voicemails to give
them a phonecall back. My child loves going to this nursery and has learnt a lot in a short space of time.

My daughter attended the nursery for two years. She loved it! The staff are so friendly and welcoming.
She particularly had a strong bond with her keyworker. Which made me feel at ease when needing to communicate any problems or concerns or even just to have a chat about how she's doing.
My daughter
was always excited to tell me all about the different activities she'd been up to. I'm really happy with the progress she made whilst at the setting.

Our daughter who is nearly 3 years old, really enjoys going to nursery. The staff are very good and we are always kept informed. They are always willing to discuss progress or any issues which arise. They are keen to help and support development. There are numerous activities the children participate
in, sometimes disappointing that they are left to play on their own some of the time with no structure - very pleased with the nursery.

My daughter had initial trouble settling back in after the 6 weeks holidays. The nursery staff went out of their way to create a book to help settle her. The staff are very happy and polite. They mix professional and personal with ease and are always approachable even with the smallest details.

Very welcoming and caring. Reassuring as a parent when your child starts. A very happy place - children feel loved and cared for.
Rooms are well designed and thought out., Baby room is the best I have seen in this respect. I only gave good for facilities as the outside space is not quite as big as
some but they make excellent use of what they have.

My daughter started attending this nursery at 6 months old and is now in preschool. Initially, the size was very daunting but can honestly say you and your child are made to feel like individuals. The staff know all of the children's names and my daughter has gone from being a very clingy baby who sobbed
when I left to an extremely independent little girl. She amazes me with the level of knowledge she has as a result of their scientific experiments or the subject matter for that day. The staff helped significantly with her potty training working with us as parents and have supported her every step of the way when it has become time for her to move up a room. Each evening she has to visit several carers to give them a hug before leaving she is that comfortable there. A wonderful nursery.

7 years ago we started looking for a nursery for our 1st child. This can be a daunting task and we visited a few different nurseries in the area but felt this nursery was the right place. We loved the purpose built building with its amazing space and the staff were lovely and put us at ease. The staff
are amazing, humouring us with the constant calls to ‘just check in’.
Both of our children have had a truly wonderful time at the nursery and as sad as they were to leave, were ready to go to big school due to their time there. Their Graduation Ceremonies are such a special touch. The management of the nursery is fantastic, we find out what we need to know when we need to know it, and feel so happy and secure leaving our children with them. It's a pleasure to drop off and pick up here, everyone is so friendly. It is with sad hearts that we complete this review as it's time for us to say bye to the team. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone!

We deliberately chose this nursery and pre-school, following a friend's recommendation, because we wanted our little boy aged 3 to get used to a "busier" environment than he has had elsewhere. We had heard that the staff were very good but also quite young, so we did wonder how they would compare with
the older, more experienced adults our son normally spends time with. We were therefore extremely impressed with how much effort they put into helping our son settle in, particularly given that he only attends two mornings a week. Although drop-off times could be quite busy, there was always a member of staff ready to say hello and to take care of him. He invariably comes home clutching a stack of paintings that he is very proud of. The management is very efficient, e-mails are responded to quickly and there is a helpful weekly memo e-mailed around. The larger and more "school-like" environment may not suit every child, but it has worked very well for us.

My son has been attending this nursery for 2 years and I could not recommend it enough. I initially had reservations about sending him to a big chain nursery but was impressed by the warmth and friendliness when I visited.
The staff are so enthusiastic, friendly and attentive and it's clear to see
how much they care about each child.
They provide so many learning opportunities and activities for the children and have different themes each week, which they inform parents about in weekly newsletters. The staff are really keen to get to know the child too and encourage weekend books so they can sit with them and see what they have been doing outside of nursery. They are also regularly reviewing their development and progress with parents.
It's extremely difficult as a parent putting our most precious possession in the care of strangers but I guarantee that even from the first day the staff here won't feel like strangers as they all make an effort to get to know you and your child.

Excellent facilities and are extremely good general feel about. Also, new activities and parents are kept up to date with weekly emails that include tips about diet and well-being, nursery activities and safety. Good friendly and informed staff. After I have been using Kidsunlimited/Bright Horizons
for more than one year, it seems they do not have high labour turn over, I feel this is a very good sign and great for the children so very important.

Our Grandson has improved in all aspects since attending the Ely nursery. He thoroughly enjoys his time there, the Staff are brilliant. They are very attentive taking a keen interest in our Grandson and his interests. He is not the shy toddler he was 3 months ago. The weekend book is a great asset,
recording some of his activities at a weekend.
The photographs help on the odd occasion he is a little upset.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I started working with the company in 2002, where I started as a level 2 nursery nurse. I trained on the job to complete my level 3 NVQ, and a short while after, I was promoted to the role of room supervisor in the Early Pre-School room. In 2011, I left the nursery to gain experience in another setting. I returned to the nursery in 2012 as the baby room leader and completed my NVQ level 4 in child care, the following year, I was promoted to Third in charge of the nursery.


I thoroughly enjoyed my role as a room leader but was looking for a new challenge so I applied for the role of deputy manager and I was successful. I have been the deputy manager at Ely Day Nursery since October 2014 and I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of my job- I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Hello, I am Chloe the Deputy Manager.


I joined Ely Day Nursery in October 2023 having previously worked in childcare for 11 years. I wanted to step into a management position in order to support staff, parents and children achieve, learn and develop.
Since joining I have enjoyed learning so much more about childcare and development through the range of support Bright Horizons offers.
I love how busy the setting is as well as how welcoming everyone was both in the setting as well as throughout the company.


The thing I enjoy the most about my job is building a foundation for children to enhance their skills and development their imagination.
