Bright Horizons Ely Day Nursery and Preschool

Brilliant place, friendly staff, plenty for kids to learn and do. They worked extremely well and hard through the Covid-19 times. My children are very happy here. The food is varied and they have plenty of outdoor play, no matter the weather.

We’re very happy with the nursery. Our son started here when he was under a year old and he’s now four. The staff across the board are welcoming, kind and caring. I have always felt that they take a real interest in getting to know each child individually and make every effort to tailor activities to suit personalities and interests. I’d wholeheartedly recommend the nursery to others and frequently do so.

There is such wonderful care given to each child and parent. You feel valued as a person and the staff are always generous with their time. My daughter is so happy to go in, barely giving me a backwards glance and I think, that is the true measure of the nursery.

I can't say enough about the team at Bright Horizons Ely Day Nursery and Preschool. My son started at six months old and loves his nursery days! The staff are great and are so friendly. We love all the photos that he brings home of what he's been up to and the lovely paintings and activities that they've done. Keep up the great work!

My daughter really enjoys going to nursery and during the pandemic they have helped keep things “normal” for her. Everyone is so friendly and they make a real effort to get to know the children. I’ve never had any concerns about her care and she is always so excited to be learning new things.

We are brand new to the nursery. Since my son started the staff have all been friendly, informative and welcoming. My son bounds in each morning and asks to go back. There is no better endorsement that a child wanting to go back!

Our son started at Bright Horizons Ely Day Nursery and Preschool aged around nine months and he settled in straight away. He has a severe food allergy and it is extremely well managed by nursery staff, which really puts my mind at rest. His language and emotional intelligence has improved massively since starting at nursery and he’s comfortable with very helpful concepts such as waiting turns and putting toys away when he’s finished. Life changer! Since the Covid-19 pandemic we have not been able to enter the building for pick up and drop off, so we haven’t actually seen his new room or watched him play but the nursery has provided us with regular photos of him and his key worker is always happy to have a telephone conversation if needed. I suffer with PND and have always felt understood by nursery staff, especially the nursery manager who will always try and fit in an extra session for our son if we need it.

An extremely helpful and safe environment. The staff go out of their way to bring joy, education and welcome to each parent and child. Activities are well planned and communicated. The management team are exceptional and go way above and beyond, having said that they all do. The staff welcome on arrival and discuss on pick up. The daily sheet is so helpful and the photos and activities are brilliant. The reassurance and ease that helps with worries is brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Overall such a fantastic place, will be sad when we move on to “big” school.

Very happy with the nursery. Excellent communication from the staff. The nursery do a wide range of activities with my toddler and he loves going to nursery. The staff are really helpful and friendly.

Bright Horizons Ely is a brilliant nursery. You feel the warm and caring nature as soon as you step into the setting. Caterpillars staff have been so patient and caring with my daughter while she settled into the room. This took time but they did everything they could to help her feel safe and relaxed.

My two grandchildren, aged 6 and 2 1/2 attended Bright Horizons from the age of 9 months. The manager and her team are wonderful: so welcoming and kind to children, parents and carers alike. My grandson's transition to primary school was seamless thanks to his care and the groundwork put in place at Bright Horizons. Both children hugely benefitted from the socialisation and the fun activities provided in a safe environment. The family have now moved to Devon and I’m sure will thrive in their new surroundings thanks to such a great start. Thank you so much to the manager and co.

Bright Horizons Ely is a lovely place for our daughter to attend nursery. The staff, in particular, make it, and she enjoys her time there very much. We are working parents and feel very appreciative of the great communication, supportive service and everything that’s included in the overall cost, which isn’t something that all nurseries offer. We also feel that she is very safe, and the nursery is doing their very best to set a good example by adhering to Covid related procedures and encouraging anyone who visits to do so also. Overall very happy!

My son has had a wonderful time at nursery. He loves it when he realises it's a nursery day. He loves his key person and all the staff. He has so much fun and enjoys playing with his friends. I've been very happy and impressed with how they have adapted and worked together during the pandemic. Such a great team!

My daughter, who is currently attending the preschool, loves it so much that when she is at home she likes to role play nursery and preschool pretending to be the different practitioners looking after and playing with her baby dolls!

The nursery manager has shown nothing but positivity through such an uncertain time and I always recommend this nursery to my friends.

Our son has been attending the nursery since he was just under a year old. He loves going and has settled in so quickly since it reopened after lockdown. He is now in his third room and we have found all the staff to be very friendly and caring. Overall, we have had an excellent experience and would recommend it to others.

This was the perfect setting for our daughter. The quality of care provided by all the staff and the fun educational activities have played an important part in her early year's development and prepared her for school.

Have sent all of my four children to this nursery and would highly recommend it. From the venue, to the staff, to the company, it excels in all areas for us. We would rate it 100%, they are always willing to go above and beyond.

The staff and setting are fantastic. My son loves the nurser,y and his learning/development have really come on due to all of the varied activities he does. The staff are very caring, so friendly and welcoming.

A really great nursery and preschool. The staff are the absolute best, the food is terrific, and the activities are engaging. Our eldest is in the preschool room, and the staff there are stretching her in just the right way to get her ready for school. Our youngest started right after the lockdown in the baby room. I was worried how he might get on given he'd had limited social contact for months, but he has the best time and clearly enjoys himself. It's a home from home, and everyone feels like family.
