Located on the Cambridgeshire Business Park – just five minutes from Ely trains station and situated within the grounds of Cambridgeshire Business Park. An excellent location for parents working in the area or commuting. The nursery provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The modern purpose-built nursery is set in its own self-contained building and gardens. All age groups benefit form Bright Horizons extensive Growing Enhancements programmes to provide learning and developments in fields such as Reading, Writing, Maths, Sports, Science, IT and Art. The nursery is well-equipped, featuring the latest in early years and educational equipment. The outdoor space is ideal for children of all ages, which are well-resourced and provide opportunities for learning outside.

With all-inclusive fees, which means less to pack on a busy morning, their onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to the chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

We’re very happy with the nursery. Our son started here when he was under a year old and he’s now four. The staff across the board are welcoming, kind and caring. I have always felt that they take a real interest in getting to know each child individually and make every effort to tailor activities to
suit personalities and interests. I’d wholeheartedly recommend the nursery to others and frequently do so.

There is such wonderful care given to each child and parent. You feel valued as a person and the staff are always generous with their time. My daughter is so happy to go in, barely giving me a backwards glance and I think, that is the true measure of the nursery.

My daughter really enjoys going to nursery and during the pandemic they have helped keep things “normal” for her. Everyone is so friendly and they make a real effort to get to know the children. I’ve never had any concerns about her care and she is always so excited to be learning new things.

Our son started at Bright Horizons Ely Day Nursery and Preschool aged around nine months and he settled in straight away. He has a severe food allergy and it is extremely well managed by nursery staff, which really puts my mind at rest. His language and emotional intelligence has improved massively
since starting at nursery and he’s comfortable with very helpful concepts such as waiting turns and putting toys away when he’s finished. Life changer! Since the Covid-19 pandemic we have not been able to enter the building for pick up and drop off, so we haven’t actually seen his new room or watched him play but the nursery has provided us with regular photos of him and his key worker is always happy to have a telephone conversation if needed. I suffer with PND and have always felt understood by nursery staff, especially the nursery manager who will always try and fit in an extra session for our son if we need it.

An extremely helpful and safe environment. The staff go out of their way to bring joy, education and welcome to each parent and child. Activities are well planned and communicated. The management team are exceptional and go way above and beyond, having said that they all do. The staff welcome on arrival
and discuss on pick up. The daily sheet is so helpful and the photos and activities are brilliant. The reassurance and ease that helps with worries is brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Overall such a fantastic place, will be sad when we move on to “big” school.

Bright Horizons Ely is a brilliant nursery. You feel the warm and caring nature as soon as you step into the setting. Caterpillars staff have been so patient and caring with my daughter while she settled into the room. This took time but they did everything they could to help her feel safe and relaxed.

My two grandchildren, aged 6 and 2 1/2 attended Bright Horizons from the age of 9 months. The manager and her team are wonderful: so welcoming and kind to children, parents and carers alike. My grandson's transition to primary school was seamless thanks to his care and the groundwork put in place at

Bright Horizons Ely is a lovely place for our daughter to attend nursery. The staff, in particular, make it, and she enjoys her time there very much. We are working parents and feel very appreciative of the great communication, supportive service and everything that’s included in the overall cost, which
isn’t something that all nurseries offer. We also feel that she is very safe, and the nursery is doing their very best to set a good example by adhering to Covid related procedures and encouraging anyone who visits to do so also. Overall very happy!

Bright Horizons Day Nursery and Preschool is excellent, and I would highly recommend it.
Both of my children have attended the nursery and preschool at some point and both enjoyed the experience.
The staff are all delightful and friendly, and they have been so accommodating with both of my children’s
numerous allergies. Their policies are so robust that it fills me with confidence to send my children there and not have to worry.
My daughter, who is currently attending the preschool, loves it so much that when she is at home she likes to role play nursery and preschool pretending to be the different practitioners looking after and playing with her baby dolls!

Both my daughters attend and love their time at this nursery. Both having been there since starting in caterpillars, with my eldest now in penguins pre-school, I can say with confidence that every room is amazing. Well suited to the needs of their ages as they grow, lots of activities, care and attention
to detail.
All the staff are wonderful going above and beyond to make me feel they are more than capable with my girls.
The nursery manager has shown nothing but positivity through such an uncertain time and I always recommend this nursery to my friends.

I've always found the staff at Ely Day Nursery to be great with the children. They're friendly, communicative and really care about the kids and realise the importance of keeping parents informed about everything from how their child's day has been (and how many dirty nappies they've produced!) to how
they're developing according to the EYFS curriculum. They've handled the covid-craziness with grace and I feel confident that my kids are safe but are not being overly burdened by the strangeness of the times with excessive focus on the virus. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I started working with the company in 2002, where I started as a level 2 nursery nurse. I trained on the job to complete my level 3 NVQ, and a short while after, I was promoted to the role of room supervisor in the Early Pre-School room. In 2011, I left the nursery to gain experience in another setting. I returned to the nursery in 2012 as the baby room leader and completed my NVQ level 4 in child care, the following year, I was promoted to Third in charge of the nursery.


I thoroughly enjoyed my role as a room leader but was looking for a new challenge so I applied for the role of deputy manager and I was successful. I have been the deputy manager at Ely Day Nursery since October 2014 and I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of my job- I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Hello, I am Chloe the Deputy Manager.


I joined Ely Day Nursery in October 2023 having previously worked in childcare for 11 years. I wanted to step into a management position in order to support staff, parents and children achieve, learn and develop.
Since joining I have enjoyed learning so much more about childcare and development through the range of support Bright Horizons offers.
I love how busy the setting is as well as how welcoming everyone was both in the setting as well as throughout the company.


The thing I enjoy the most about my job is building a foundation for children to enhance their skills and development their imagination.
