Located on the Cambridgeshire Business Park – just five minutes from Ely trains station and situated within the grounds of Cambridgeshire Business Park. An excellent location for parents working in the area or commuting. The nursery provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The modern purpose-built nursery is set in its own self-contained building and gardens. All age groups benefit form Bright Horizons extensive Growing Enhancements programmes to provide learning and developments in fields such as Reading, Writing, Maths, Sports, Science, IT and Art. The nursery is well-equipped, featuring the latest in early years and educational equipment. The outdoor space is ideal for children of all ages, which are well-resourced and provide opportunities for learning outside.

With all-inclusive fees, which means less to pack on a busy morning, their onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to the chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

The staff are very friendly and supportive; nothing is ever a problem or ever too much. My child is in preschool and has attended this nursery since 5-months-old, loves attending and has built strong friendships already at such a young age.

The manager and the staff have made our children feel very at ease and welcome. They have all settled well and are very happy little souls. Our eldest daughter moved from another nursery, and the staff helped her settle in so well. She really enjoys her time there.

My son has loved being at Bright Horizons since he was 1. He has just finished at Bright Horizons to go onto his next journey at school. It was an emotional day when he left the doors for the last time as it felt like we were leaving our family behind. The nursery manager and her staff have been fantastic
and the way the manager has dealt with all the extra responsibilities due to COVID has been exceptional. The whole staff take things in their stride and I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a safe place for their child to grow. I feel they go the extra mile, when my son hasn’t wanted to go in because he doesn’t feel like it or on the flip side (which happened more) didn’t want to come home the staff would help me convince him which after a long day is very much appreciated. I just wish my son didn’t have to grow up.

A really great nursery and preschool. The staff are the absolute best, the food is terrific, and the activities are engaging. Our eldest is in the preschool room, and the staff there are stretching her in just the right way to get her ready for school. Our youngest started right after the lockdown in
the baby room. I was worried how he might get on given he'd had limited social contact for months, but he has the best time and clearly enjoys himself. It's a home from home, and everyone feels like family.

The really lovely staff which have made myself (and my daughter) at ease. Amazing menu. Staff very thorough, caring and attentive. Location is very convenient as in the same business park where I work. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter just returned to nursery as it reopened after lock-down. I was naturally worried as she hadn't been since March and was going back to a different room and new key workers. I needn't have worried. It's now a week later and she runs in without looking back! The care and support she has received,
especially in trying times has been outstanding! The staff have been really thoughtful in calling me daily to let me know she has settled while she has been adapting and I can't praise them enough! My daughter loves it there and I definitely would recommend this nursery to others.

My daughter has only been in the preschool a few months but its been amazing how well she has progressed. She has really grasped writing her name and her drawing has really come on. This is all down to the amazingly dedicated preschool team. In the short time my daughter has been there she has also
made many friends which is lovely to see. Although my daughter is leaving my son is moving up to the preschool and I'm excited to see how he progresses.

Both our children have attended the nursery with our son having just ‘graduated’ preschool. There are many staff who have been there a number of years, which is great for continuity of care. The team, work well together to support children’s development. They provide a warm, fun and friendly environment

Always took excellent care of my daughter, who had just left the nursery to move up to school. She made very strong bonds with the staff and was very sad to be leaving. A really lovely, well-managed nursery with staff who care for the children exceptionally well.

I took my baby for our first settling in session and I was horrified in what I saw: one baby nearly choked on soil that he was eating, he had a full mouth of soil, no one noticed until I pointed it out, member of staff took it out with their hands to get the soil out of his mouth and then a few mins
later an older boy started to eat soil and again no one noticed until I pointed it out. They were also walking with their shoes on and didn’t ask me to put plastic slipper last on I told them that I want to put them on as I didn’t feel comfortable walking in my shoes inside the baby room. Room was very very dirty and babies were just doing things on their own no one was engaging with them. Worst and Dirtiest nursery I have ever seen.

My son has blossomed here. The staff are great and the management team are excellent at working with parents. Children are treated as individuals and their interests and needs catered for. All staff know all the children and speak to them. This hadn't originally been my first choice but I'm delighted
that choice fell through. The management team are always available to talk through concerns and are reassuring and proactive. My son has always loved his keyworkers and I am sad that we are leaving soon for school.

My little boy loves it there and is always very happy, he runs in very excited about his day and is always bushed when he’s picked up. My daughter has been at the nursery for 2 years now and has just moved into her second room. The staff are so helpful and friendly and will always go above and beyond to help and assist where possible. There are lots of varied activities both learning and play. My son has been at the nursery for nearly 2 1/2 years and is very happy there. He is about to move to his third different room and the staff are friendly and very helpful and thoughtful to make the transition as smooth as possible. He has learnt so much here and the activities are varied and exciting.
He particularly likes the baking activities and singing along to the guitar playing.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I started working with the company in 2002, where I started as a level 2 nursery nurse. I trained on the job to complete my level 3 NVQ, and a short while after, I was promoted to the role of room supervisor in the Early Pre-School room. In 2011, I left the nursery to gain experience in another setting. I returned to the nursery in 2012 as the baby room leader and completed my NVQ level 4 in child care, the following year, I was promoted to Third in charge of the nursery.


I thoroughly enjoyed my role as a room leader but was looking for a new challenge so I applied for the role of deputy manager and I was successful. I have been the deputy manager at Ely Day Nursery since October 2014 and I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of my job- I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Hello, I am Chloe the Deputy Manager.


I joined Ely Day Nursery in October 2023 having previously worked in childcare for 11 years. I wanted to step into a management position in order to support staff, parents and children achieve, learn and develop.
Since joining I have enjoyed learning so much more about childcare and development through the range of support Bright Horizons offers.
I love how busy the setting is as well as how welcoming everyone was both in the setting as well as throughout the company.


The thing I enjoy the most about my job is building a foundation for children to enhance their skills and development their imagination.
