Located on the Cambridgeshire Business Park – just five minutes from Ely trains station and situated within the grounds of Cambridgeshire Business Park. An excellent location for parents working in the area or commuting. The nursery provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The modern purpose-built nursery is set in its own self-contained building and gardens. All age groups benefit form Bright Horizons extensive Growing Enhancements programmes to provide learning and developments in fields such as Reading, Writing, Maths, Sports, Science, IT and Art. The nursery is well-equipped, featuring the latest in early years and educational equipment. The outdoor space is ideal for children of all ages, which are well-resourced and provide opportunities for learning outside.

With all-inclusive fees, which means less to pack on a busy morning, their onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to the chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

My son is always so excited to go to the nursery and I have peace of mind that he will have fun and enjoy. He has the freedom to explore different things and also learn how to be gentle and to share. He has learned so much since his first day. Thank you.

We moved to Bright Horizons from another local setting as we were wanting to take advantage of the 30 hours, 3 years plus funding in one setting, something our previous one did not provide. Four months after our eldest started at Bright Horizons, our youngest started.
Within weeks of starting at Bright
Horizons, we saw huge leaps in our older child’s development which we credit to the support of practitioners, and we continue to see our child flourish. Bright Horizons is providing an excellent setting to prepare for school.
Both children are extremely fond of practitioners. They support and challenge the children in a warm and nurturing environment.
All staff take the time to get to know parents as well as children. As parents, we are seen as individuals, not just Mummy and Daddy. Staff are sensitive to family circumstances and are attentive and supportive of us grown-ups too.
Whilst we moved to Bright Horizons out of necessity, it has been a brilliant move. We couldn’t imagine a better setting to support the development and well-being of our children.

Bright Horizons Ely are fantastic, the team, location and facilities.

My boy started at Bright Horizons Ely Day Nursery and Preschool at 12 months. He had a rocky start, having only been cared for by mum and dad for a year but the staff at Bright Horizons have been wonderful with him. He's only been there a few months but already has a lovely bond with a few of the workers
and clearly has a lovely time doing all the activities. He's learned so much since he started. Our only issue is the lack of a separate nap space as our boy struggles to sleep when there are distractions but he's adjusting to this slowly.

All 3 of my children have gone here and my youngest has started a few months ago. I can’t praise them high enough. All staff are so caring and nurturing of the children. All my children have or are thriving here.

From a very anxious mummy about sending her little boy into nursery, Bright Horizons have been nothing but perfect.
From the moment we walked in to the door for our welcome meeting, me and my little boy loved it.
Could not fault the care that my little boy receives. Feel as though he’s safe and secure

Excellent nursery with great staff in baby room. My daughter LOVES being at nursery and I love the feedback we get on her day every day, as well as all the details and regular updates listed in the app. The staff know my daughter really well as an individual and I feel she is very well cared for.

All of the staff are so kind and caring for our little boy, he loves the activities that they get up to and is always excited to see his carers in the morning. The facilities are great and the food menu is healthy and nutritious and gives him the opportunity to try lots of different things. I would

Great nursery, son started in March at 1 year old and staff are warm and welcoming and really supportive for parents and children, update the app daily of food intake, sleep they have had, and nappy changes if still in nappies.
Post pictures of what your child has been up to and give observation on
how their development is going.
They always do fun activities on a daily basis whether it painting, reading, in the garden, and planting seeds.
Can’t recommend this nursery enough my son loves it.

I’m very glad I chose this nursery for my daughter! She is sometimes emotional being dropped off if it’s me dropping her off but as soon as she sees her friends she’s happy playing away! Staff are always super helpful and friendly and I don’t know how they remember everyone’s names so well with so many
kids! The meals are well varied and healthy! Definitely would recommend to people.

Ely Bright Horizons is a wonderful, fun and caring nursery and pre-school where both of our children go. Our eldest has attended since 2020 and our youngest since 2022.
Both of our children are flourishing, growing their independence, confidence and personality. The staff go above and beyond to care
for them, giving us the reassurance they are in the best hands possible.
Our youngest has numerous severe allergies and the nursery have been beyond supportive of this.
We highly recommend this nursery and pre-school.

The standard of care at Ely Bright Horizons is fantastic. My son has such a wonderful experience every day and the staff are incredible. Each day he comes back having played so many different things and learnt lots of new skills.

Have been super supportive and always have the best interest of the children at heart. Amazing communication with the app, always adding photos and developmental progression! All the staff in the baby room are amazing and just an amazing team.

My daughter was new to the setup and was resuming nursery after a long break. I must admit that the staff was really very warm and she was very well adjusted to her new schedule. They took good care of her because I know my little one needs a lot of attention. Please keep up the good work.

Such a great nursery. Our son has been going for the past year and a bit and we've had a consistently good experience over that time. His key workers have been engaged and excellent throughout, giving good feedback and on the app as to how he's getting on. All staff have been lovely and clearly care
about the children in their care, a lot.
You may worry the site might not look like the prettiest being on an industrial estate, but it actually gives them loads of space and makes it easier for drop off in lots of ways. They also are right on the edge and the garden looks out over a big field in the fens so feels like they're in nature a bit.
They have also been accommodating with providing extra sessions when we've needed them and they have had capacity which has been really helpful.

I couldn't recommend this nursery more, it's fantastic. My baby joined when he was 7 months old. His 'key person' immediately bonded with him. She showed a great interest in him and played with him really nicely.
The nursery keep us (the parents) up to date on everything - if he bumps his head, or
has a little rash, or if there's chicken pox at the nursery... They show us photos of what the children have been up to. He paints pictures and plants flowers... I think he probably has a better time at nursery than he does at home. They feed him foods we haven't yet tried at home and they do also use much posher nappies than we do! I am so pleased we found this nursery, I feel so appreciative of them and I really think they are giving him a fantastic start in life.

We absolutely love Bright Horizons in Ely. The staff are incredible and take the time to know each child and cater to their individual needs. Our son started Bright Horizons when he was nine months and he is now about to turn four years old. During this time, the staff have helped so much, from learning to play, to socialising, sharing, taking turns and learning to be kind to one another. The staff are so friendly and treat our son like one
of their own. They even can help with things like weaning, using cutlery, developing routines and potty training. It's so nice to know as a parent that your child is being looked after and routines etc continue whether at home or at nursery. It's like home from home and it's displayed in our son's behaviour how much he loves nursery. We really recommend Bright Horizons and would certainly use it again.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I started working with the company in 2002, where I started as a level 2 nursery nurse. I trained on the job to complete my level 3 NVQ, and a short while after, I was promoted to the role of room supervisor in the Early Pre-School room. In 2011, I left the nursery to gain experience in another setting. I returned to the nursery in 2012 as the baby room leader and completed my NVQ level 4 in child care, the following year, I was promoted to Third in charge of the nursery.


I thoroughly enjoyed my role as a room leader but was looking for a new challenge so I applied for the role of deputy manager and I was successful. I have been the deputy manager at Ely Day Nursery since October 2014 and I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of my job- I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Hello, I am Chloe the Deputy Manager.


I joined Ely Day Nursery in October 2023 having previously worked in childcare for 11 years. I wanted to step into a management position in order to support staff, parents and children achieve, learn and develop.
Since joining I have enjoyed learning so much more about childcare and development through the range of support Bright Horizons offers.
I love how busy the setting is as well as how welcoming everyone was both in the setting as well as throughout the company.


The thing I enjoy the most about my job is building a foundation for children to enhance their skills and development their imagination.
