Bright Horizons Maidstone Boughton Lane Day Nursery and Preschool is a proud Eco-friendly nursery, reflected in its achievement of the Eco Schools flag, proudly displayed outside the building.

The nursery emphasises fostering independence across all age groups. Rolling mealtimes are practiced in every room, and self-serving is introduced even in the Baby Room to encourage autonomy from an early age.

Children of all ages participate daily in Boogie Mites, an interactive music activity designed to enhance every child's learning and development, particularly supporting communication and language skills.

The nursery features two expansive outdoor spaces with large climbing frames, including a Castle and a Pirate Ship, providing endless opportunities for imaginative play and physical development.

And while your child is busy exploring and having fun, the nursery will keep you updated via the Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep every parent connected with their child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time at the nursery.

For added convenience, drop-offs and pick-ups are made easy with accessible parking, a lay-by outside the nursery, and a spacious on-site car park.

All the staff have been brilliant and worked so hard to keep everyone safe, whilst still ensuring my son loved going and having a great time. He was so upset when preschool recently had to isolate and couldn’t wait to go back. You are all doing an amazing job.

Amazing staff. My son has been coming here since August and has come along so much with his speech and learning. He thoroughly enjoys coming and I couldn't be happier that we chose this as his nursery. Highly recommended.

My son recently started at this nursery and my experience has been nothing but positive. All the staff are so welcoming, happy and professional. My son is so happy here now and looks forward to his days here. My son struggled at the start however now he loves coming to see his friends. I love this nursery
and know my son is safe and happy here.

I have used this nursery and preschool to care for both of my children over the last 6 years, and they have had an excellent experience here. It is a very nurturing environment and there is a brilliant garden and outside space for the children to use. My daughter loves coming, and the use of keyworkers
is very helpful. It would be helpful to now if there are any plans to do anything with the old preschool room as that was a very good space. I have always found all the staff to be friendly and welcoming, and answer any queries promptly.

My son has been attending since September 2019, and has always been happy and well cared for. His keyperson has been fantastic with him, and I am always kept up to date regarding his learning and development as well as his every day care. The choice of activities develops according to the children's
interests, and my son always has a lot to tell me when I collect him.

My daughter has been coming since she was a baby, the staff were great when she was settling in. She loves coming to nursery now and seeing all her friends and staff. She is always happy when I collect her, and always seems to have had a lovely day. Her keyperson does progress development reviews often,
and she is always progressing well - defo recommend this nursery.

Since joining the nursery I have seen my daughters confidence grow. She thoroughly enjoys her days spent at Bright Horizons. I have noticed how far developmentally she has come along in a short amount of time. The nursery leave me feeling supported in my role as a parent, and the end of day updates
give me the chance to reflect on how much my daughter has learnt,slept, engaged and eaten. \the staff are always so welcoming and supportive. I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful nursery for my daughter to attend.

I couldn't praise the staff team and management at the nursery any higher. They are all kind, caring, professional and amazing with my daughter. I have a 1 year old and just turned 3 year old who attend. They both love it. I can't praise the staff enough. They are all so friendly, and talk about the kids with such fondness. My son's speech is delayed and they have been great at helping him.

I would highly recommend this nursery to others, the staff are incredibly friendly and reassuring, the outdoor space is absolutely brilliant, the children spend a lot of time outdoors in the fresh air, playing and exploring. My daughter has been going for just over a month now and absolutely loves it!
She never wants to leave when I go and collect her. I’ve noticed a difference in her table manners and speech already which is really positive, plus she’s really warmed to her key worker, who is lovely. The nursery is very safe and secure too.

Our son loves nursery and thrives here.
The staff are very approachable, professional and efficient. Handovers are very informative with details such as naps/activities/sleep etc. Children get opportunities to go out frequently unless weather is very bad. Activities offer children lots of opportunities
and to develop skills as requested on the EYFS.
We would highly recommend this nursery.

When I drop my child off each session the girls in the baby room always comfort him if he is upset, and at the end of the day, he has a smile on his face after having a brilliant day.
The staff work really hard, give great feedback on his day and are helping his development. They go outside when they
can, which is really important and change up the activities each week. He loves it and we are really happy with the nursery and all the staff. The manager is fantastic.

Staff are kind and caring. They make sure the children are respectful and play well together.
Sometimes when busy the older children can get a little too boisterous, but it is difficult to deal with this in such an open space.
Information given to parents is full and demonstrates a good understanding
of each child's time/play/interests.

Really happy with the nursery. My child is really happy and is learning lots each time they go. The girls in the baby room are fantastic - really caring and hardworking. I have never had a concern about my child while they were there. They are safe and well looked after. We get lovely homemade gifts
during the year, which is a great personal touch.

With over 15 years of experience in childcare, Luci began her journey as a Nursery Assistant, completing her NVQ Level 3 and progressing through various roles to become the Nursery Manager.


Her passion lies in creating a safe and secure environment for children, fostering their independence, and providing opportunities for them to grow into confident, capable individuals.


For Luci, the most rewarding part of her role is watching children grow and develop each day under her care.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2021

With 21 years of experience in childcare, starting as a Nursery Nurse and progressing to Manager, Lisa is now Deputy Manager at Boughton Lane Nursery, a role that allows her to spend more time with the children while also focusing on SEN (Special Educational Needs). She joined Bright Horizons in July 2021 and thoroughly enjoys being part of the team at the nursery.


Lisa is deeply passionate about supporting the staff and building strong connections with families. She finds great fulfilment in working with SEN children and takes pride in watching all children thrive during their time at the nursery.
