Bright Horizons Kings Hill Day Nursery and Preschool

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons for the last eight months. She has grown in confidence and is surrounded by a wonderful team who welcome her every morning with open arms. She has made very special bonds with the members of staff and the children, and I can't thank them enough for always keeping me updated and also making my daughter's times at nursery feel so safe and happy.

Both children have attended, and both different but amazing experiences. Staff have gone above and to settle and help my first daughter. She still talks fondly of it now. My son now attends and loves it there. He enjoys all the activities indoors - messy play is great, and good group games too. Lovely space outside, which is great and again keeps him very entertained. I love being kept up to day with pictures. Any issues or queries have been dealt with promptly. Always greeted when we arrive and leave. Overall, so, so happy.

My son transitions from the baby to the toddler room and has done so with ease. This is due to the amazing staff who have been supporting him. He feels love and security in both rooms with all members of staff and has a smile on his face at every drop-off.

My almost 3 years old twins started attending a year ago at the nursery. They absolutely love going in every morning. The staff are simply amazing and make both the children and myself feel at ease. I’m grateful I can leave my children with people who I trust and who care for them and are doing their best to support them. I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough to anyone. The nursery is well catered for, clean and tidy and very professional. They use the update app every day so I know how much the twins ate, when they had changes and what activities they did during the day.

I’m so happy that I decided to send my daughter to this nursery. The staff in her room have been nothing but amazing they have been so supportive and kind and they are so lovely! My daughter has such a great bond with them which is so nice to see! The ladies generally care for the children and you can see this even when you are just dropping and picking up your child. The ladies in her room are always able to tell me how her day has been, what she’s been doing, friends she’s played with, how much she has eaten, gone to the toilet etc. The nursery has been so helpful when changing my daughter's days, nothing has been a problem and they were really understanding and accommodating. I would just like to thank you from a happy daughter and family!

When we first arrived at the nursery, we met the manager, who inspired us with confidence our daughter would be in an environment that promoted her learning and well-being. So far, the carers, who've been interacting, playing and updating us about our daughter's day have made us extremely happy we chose this nursery. From the initial days of dropping her off with tears and tears, even when we've picked her up, now she seems happy and content. I think she really enjoys her stay at this wonderful nursery. When we were looking for a nursery, it was important that not only would she receive daily care, but also learn in an environment where the child, caregivers and the other children demonstrate good behaviour. We believe our child is getting the best start in life from the Bright Horizons team.

The key worker in the preschool has been particularly attentive and warm to my child. She has enabled him to settle in comfortably with no problems, and she has very much put me at ease.

My son started at Bright Horizons Kings Hill Day Nursery and Preschool in September 2022. Didn't take him long to settle in and now he absolutely loves going. He attends on a Thursday and Friday and looks forward to it every week. He idolises his preschool teachers. The staff really care about the children, I can't fault them at all. My son was hardly talking and was still in nappies when he started. Now his speech is brilliant and he is clean throughout the day.

Bright Horizons, Kings Hill, is a fantastic nursery. My three-year-old son has attended for the past two years and absolutely loves it. Sending a child to nursery after a year in lockdown was daunting, but my expectations have been exceeded from day one. My little boy suffered from glue ear which resulted in a slight speech delay. Nursery have been so supportive with this, working alongside his speech therapist to really help him progress. All staff are lovely and genuinely care about the children. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this nursery.

I have a happy review for Kings Hill. I have nothing but praise for all the staff that look after my son. The care and love received to him is all that I can imagine. He is well looked after and he always comes home happy. The staff meet all his needs on a daily basis. I will always recommend Kings Hill to anyone looking to have their child at the nursery. I receive updated information on a daily basis and wonderful photos of him happy and content and I can't wish for anything more.

Our son started at Bright Horizons Kings Hill, only in May, and has settled in amazingly. This is down to the amazing staff, who do such a fantastic job. I was really nervous about him going to nursery as I didn’t know how he would adjust, but he goes in every day with a smile and comes home happy which makes it so much easier for us. The app is great and regularly updated - the only way I think it could be improved would be more photos please! But great facilities, the food selection is brilliant, overall a really positive experience.

Words cannot explain how much I love this nursery and preschool. I have two little ones here, one who is leaving and has been here almost 4 years! And my 15 month old who has been here 6 months. I feel totally at ease when I drop them off and am grateful for how caring and loving all the staff are towards my children (and me!). They are like our second family and know my children very well. Being an all year round nursery is ideal for us as working parents and they are always happy to accommodate ad hoc days when we need them. The daily updates via the family app are great and I love seeing how much fun they are having with pictures and videos. The food is varied and of a high quality and both my children eat very well! I cannot recommend this nursery and preschool enough and will be very emotional when my son leaves. He has learned so much and has thoroughly enjoyed his time here, ready and prepared for his next adventure at school. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Been really disappointed with this nursery. Long drop off and pickups every day. Staff turnover seems to be very high. For babies there isn’t suitable sleeping arrangements – my daughter (11 months) has come home some days having only had a 10 min nap in the entire day. We were told her routine would be followed but can see from her write up sheet that it has not been. 20% more expensive than other chains in the area and fees went up in her first 8 weeks there. One day we were turned away at the door and told our daughter didn’t have her space that day because of staff shortages – this is unacceptable for working parents. Another day we had to wait in the car until a staff member arrived at work (after opening time). This is one of the only local nurseries that gives you a piece of paper at the end of the day instead of using an app (seriously even childminders use apps now). My concerns were dismissed by management until I raised them with head office. We have decided to move her.

My daughter has spent a happy three years at Bright Horizons Kings Hill Day Nursery and Preschool and my son has just joined her. She has developed so much under their care and has made great friends. All of the staff are so caring and have a real bond with both of my children. My son settled easily after just one session and now reaches out with his arms stretched to meet his key worker in the mornings. I would highly recommend the nursery, it has been great for both my children and they are so content there. We will be emotional to see my daughter graduate this summer but she is well prepared for school thanks to the nursery.

My daughter loves the pre-school and has learnt a lot since being there. She settled very quickly and really enjoys all the crafts, outdoor play and learning. I am very impressed with the variety of things they do each day. My son recently started in the baby room and also settled very quickly. The staff take a real interest in his development and he really enjoys going each day.

My daughter's confidence has grown massively since joining this nursery a year ago. She has learnt so much and made lovely friends. I cannot fault anything, the staff are all amazing, the facilities are brilliant, and most importantly, my daughter enjoys it. The children all seem very happy.

He is absolutely loving Pre-school and making great friends. He is enjoying playing in the outdoor space and also the music sessions where he can sing and dance. He is learning so much and comes home telling us all the new things he has learnt that day. A big thank you to the team at Kings Hill for making learning fun!
