We have been using Maples for several years and have always been impressed with the level of care and the facilities on offer. My children love attending Maples and have wonderful relationships with the staff, several of whom have been there since they first joined. The team have worked so incredibly
hard during the pandemic to ensure the environment is as safe as possible whilst giving the children a very normal experience. Thank you.

Our son has been attending Maples for six months and we have been hugely impressed with how the team have supported children and families in the Covid-19 pandemic.
The team in the ladybird room have been excellent and we are confident he is safe and well looked after, having some excellent experiences
that he currently can’t have elsewhere whilst we work.
Our son has significant allergies and has had a few health issues and these are dealt with brilliantly - any concerns we have are quickly addressed and the kitchen team ensure he still has an excellent balanced diet.
More importantly if ever I have contacted nursery with worries or concerns these are dealt with smoothly and my confidence is restored. Nobody has ever minded if I have a ‘neurotic mum day’.
It’s a pleasure to see our son walk in happily on the days he attends nursery. Thank you, Maples and the ladybird team.

It takes a village to raise a child they say, and Maples is an excellent addition to your village. The staff, from kitchen and carers to management, have one thing in common; the well-being of your child.
Our son loves kindi. It blows our minds on how quickly our son learns new skills and Maples provides
him with all the opportunities we could wish for.

The quality of childcare towards our three-year old is superb. She comes home very happy, telling us what she has done during the day, and it is clear the staff is very caring and capable, and the atmosphere in the room is very stimulating and positive.
The feedback we get through ParenZone is excellent:
comprehensive assessments of her development are paired with many photos of various activities. We see her progress at home, too, as new skills, clearly primarily developed at nursey, become apparent.
Finally, a note of praise to all the staff for keeping such a high quality of childcare and positive attitude during the pandemic and the challenges it poses.
I highly recommend this nursery.

Maples is a great nursery. We've moved around a little in the last 2 years, and our eldest has now been to three different nurseries. The others were good, but Maples stands out as an environment he and his sister have been really happy in.
The staff are kind and genuinely seem to care about the children.
My
only criticism is the need for a separate wardrobe for nursery days as they seem to come back fairly filthy - that said - I'm happy they're getting stuck in and that I don't then have to do it on my watch!
The outdoor space is great and the chickens are a real highlight.
The food also seems to be excellent and cooked on site.

I feel so comfortable and trust my daughter's key worker and the staff in the Ladybirds room. They always keep us updated and I love getting photos of what she's been up to. They've been amazing with keeping us updated with any covid issues and I trust their protocol and honesty!

My daughter has been at nursery since August and has enjoyed herself so much. Now she’s a little older in Bumblebees, she can’t wait to go in and see everyone.
Her dietary requirements are very well looked after and we can trust Maples Day Nursery to keep us informed if she does nibble any crumbs.
Even
though my daughter is not yet fully talking we can understand the songs she is learning from the actions she does and she really loves it when we start singing along with her.

My daughter has been at Maples Day Nursery since August 2020, she has loved every second of it. Starting briefly in Ladybirds which she thoroughly enjoyed, she is now in Bumblebees, she gets very excited before dropping her off.
She is developing well and her special dietary requirements are catered
for.

We are very happy with Maples. The education in this nursery is very good, my son always comes home with a new song or a rhyme. He is continuously given the chance for learning, exploring, experiencing through play. The activities are so amazing that my child never once was not interested in joining
in - not to mention the staff who are highly qualified and are able to engage the children with different methods. They are raising the children attention to such details that give them a new way of thinking, new ways to try out toys or games. They are warm, kind and dedicated. They are very flexible for every wish just to reassure parents that their children are in good hands. My son loves to come to this nursery and always comes home with a smile on his face. He keeps asking me if he could come on Saturday too.

Both of our boys (aged one and three) attend Maples.
Since the nursery was permitted to open again we have been so impressed by the kindness care and attention that all of the nursery staff have shown towards our sons. This is in addition to the diligence that they have applied to minimising health
risks from COVID-19.
It is an extremely well-managed nursery with all of our questions about logistics and finances answered promptly and effectively.
We are so incredibly grateful to the staff who have shown such brilliant care towards our sons - I would unequivocally, totally recommend the nursery to anyone who wanted their child to be looked after in an environment full of hard-working dedicated and, crucially, profoundly kind and caring individuals.

Our boys love going to Maples and run in every morning! The staff are extremely caring, nurturing and take the time to understand each child. Their communication is very good, particularly during recent COVID-19 restrictions, during which they have gone ‘above and beyond’ to ensure the wellbeing of
the children and the smooth running of the nursery. We have always been impressed by the amount of space in each room and in the garden. We would highly recommend it.

The nursery is based in a great location with a great deal of outdoor space which was a big part in our decision making when choosing the nursery. This topped with staff who go above and beyond for the children and a management team who provide good clear communication at all times; I really can’t fault
the nursery at all.
In the recent climate and brining my daughter back after lockdown, they have made the experience so much easier. From conversations with other parents with kids in nursery settings, it is clear that Maples is leading the way on childcare and the provision they offer.
I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery and thank all the staff for their continued hard work during such a challenging time.

Choosing a nursery was difficult as first-time parents who didn't know what we were looking for. We had a great feeling from our tour of Maples, seeing the children and staff interact with each other. There were a lot of happy faces all around the nursery.
Our son started at Maples the week before
lockdown and has only just started his time with them again this June. The communication from Maples during lockdown was brilliant and so much more than we could have expected. We felt very reassured sending him back when they reopened. The communication since being back has continued to be amazing - the Parent Zone app is a huge bonus which I understand from other local friends is not something many nurseries offer.
There are updates throughout the day on meals, naps, nappies and updates throughout the week/month on their development as well as photos!
The menus and outdoor space is also a huge attraction of Maples too.
Most importantly the staff are just wonderful - we're so thrilled!

I cannot recommend Maples highly enough. It seemed so tough leaving our daughter for the first time, but with the incredible team at Maples she settled in immediately and has been so happy for the last 6 months.
She is learning so much in such a safe, wonderful, supportive environment and there isn’t
a meal she hasn’t finished, so the food must be great too!

Maples Nursery has been one of the best parenting choices I have made. I am a first-time mum and new to the area and this nursery stood out from all of the rest. Communication was fantastic and my son who was only five months at the time he started settled in so well. As I am breastfeeding, the staff
let me go in and visit to drop off milk and feed him and to call in whenever I wanted. They update the app with photos of him during the day so I could look whilst at work. We have just started weaning and the food is fantastic, I love that it is prepared on-site as I know my baby is getting the best nutrition from a fresh source. My son loves the caterpillar staff and is happy to go to them every single day, which really puts me at ease. The manager has been so fantastic with adapting what we need specifically to our family which is amazing, they have treated us like friends and not just as a business transaction. The facilities on-site are brilliant - I wouldn’t want my baby anywhere else.

My son loves his days at nursery in the Ladybird room. There is always a variety of activities on offer - baking, painting, crafts. The outdoor space for a city nursery is very good. My son loves the bikes and scooters. He also loves looking after the chickens. The staff are very knowledgeable and caring.
I would definitely recommend this nursery to friends and family.

In the time our son has been at Maples we have found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. He settled in very quickly helped by the nursery following his home routine. Our baby particularly likes looking at the chickens in the garden. We are happy that the nursery meals are cooked on-site as

Alex is Manager at Maples Day Nursery in Winchester and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for over 20 years and with an MA in advanced Practice Early Years. Alex joined Childbase Partnership in 2024 after being in a regional role for another large chain nursery company.


What is your favourite feature of Maples?
We are so lucky as a inner city nursery to have such a large and varied outdoor space with lots of exciting opportunities to explore lifecycles and growth in the natural world.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I'm most proud about the enthusiasm and professionalism shown by the staff team. Everyone has a drive towards providing the best possible experience for our families and goes above and beyond to extol the Childbase values.
