Maples Day Nursery (Winchester)

Personally the most amazing thing about Maples is not just the great care and start that our child is getting, but also the support we have received as a family when times have been challenging.

We honestly can't thank this team enough, seeing the strong bonds our child had with all the team makes the guilt of working so much more bearable. We look forward to seeing her journey in ladybirds.

The experience that I have had at Maples has been exceptional. The staff have always answered any queries I have had without making me seem silly. The Senco has always been in my little one's corner and has always worked with me to figure out where behaviours have come from ahead of a diagnosis. The staff from the office, the kitchen and within the rooms all genuinely care about your child and will go above and beyond to make sure that they are happy and settled.

We absolutely love Maple's Nursery. This is now my second child's attention, and our experience has been fantastic. The staff are wonderful, the learning environment is brilliant, and we couldn't be happier with the care and support provided! Big up the Maples Team!

Our daughter has been at Maples for 3 months now and the care has been excellent. The settling in process was really well planned and thought-through - gentle for my daughter and for me as we both got used to it! The updates you get throughout the day are really reassuring. All of the nursery workers have great relationships with the children and I feel absolutely confident that I'm leaving my child somewhere safe. The children do varied activities and they're clearly kept busy. The outdoor space in the baby room is quite limited, but the outdoor spaces for the older children are much bigger.

Our eldest son had a brilliant time in his 2 years at Maples Nursery - he was always really well looked after, provided with great activities and lovely meals. He loved the outdoor space and every member of staff, no matter the room they worked in, knew our son by name and were warm and friendly.

As parents who moved our son from another nursery setting, we could not have been more pleased with the running and management at Maples - the care was always reliable and the communication brilliant.

We couldn't be happier with this nursery. We have two boys there and they both absolutely love it - they're excited to go in each morning and come home full of stories about what they've been up to.

The staff are genuinely lovely: warm, patient and clearly care about the children as individuals. We always feel confident that our boys are safe, supported and having fun while they learn. It's such a relief as a parent to know they're in such a positive, nurturing environment. We're really grateful to the whole team for everything they do.

Our little boy is in the Caterpillars room and settled in really quickly thanks to the amazing staff! He's grown really fond of them and has grown in confidence since starting. The room and outdoor space always seem really clean and the staff are really friendly and keep us informed of what he's done that day and how he's progressed. Overall we're really pleased with the care he receives at Maples!

Our son is so happy at Maples. He has been there for two years now and our daughter starts shortly. Everyone is so friendly and caring, there is a fantastic range of activities (including lots of outdoor time) and great food! Our son genuinely doesn't want to come home at the end of the day! Transitions between rooms have been really well managed and we've had lots of support with some big life changes, like the arrival of baby sister, moving house and potty training. Such a wonderful experience - thank you!

Maples is a wonderful environment for our 1 year old daughter- engaged staff, great facilities and wonderful support. The outdoor spaces, fantastic on site cooked food & nutritionally backed menu, huge variety of activities created for children are just some of the highlights. We love Maples and so does our daughter. Have recommended to lots of friends who have since also jumped on the wait list.

Most importantly, the staff are lovely and very caring, and form good bonds with the children.

We are really glad we chose Maples for our children. Our son has just graduated and our daughter is currently in the 1-2 year old room. The super friendly and caring staff throughout the nursery have really helped. We love getting the updates on the app about the fun they have at nursery and they have definitely helped prepare our son for school.

While the staff are caring and professional (with most being excellent), I felt management was less so. After a year at the nursery and as a single parent (due to less flexibility) I requested a non-policy/tues-thurs booking pattern, I (1) relied on their written assurance it would be granted "when possible" (2) waited ~6 months (3) noted other two-parent households availing such a booking pattern and (4) followed up, only to be advised we would not be granted such a pattern due to policy. This understandably left a bitter taste and prompted our departure

The food she gets to eat sounds brilliant! Very jealous.

Our son is really happy at Maples. Really great staff, very caring, very accommodating. Great facilities and each room has a nice outdoor space. Whole nursery just has a nice feel to it. Would 100% recommend.

We have nothing but great things to say about Maples! Our son started in Ladybirds back in April and the staff made us feel instantly at ease with the adjustment. He seems to have built strong bonds with staff, especially his key worker, and it's so great to know he has such fun and fulfilling days at nursery. I love that we're regularly updated on his progress, and it's never too much trouble however many questions I have! Really grateful to everyone at Maples for the safe and caring environment they create for our babies!

With 2 growing children in Maples care I cannot rave about there facilities enough. This is such a safe warm and clean environment. There communication and awareness of my children's needs is incredible and they have been such a great personal support to the children and myself at times also. They keep in touch daily through parent zone and weekly with a newsletter they are amazing

We absolutely love Maples and have nothing but the highest praise for all of the staff at the nursery. We have two children currently attending Maples, one in the Bumblebees room (since November 2024) and our son has just started in the Caterpillars room. We could not be more grateful for the kind care and attention the staff, and in particular the Key Person, take in the settling of the children at the nursery. Our children have been so quick to form such wonderful attachments to the staff at the nursery as their care is the highest you could hope for as a parent. The kids spend so much time outside in the brilliant garden and the staff take so much time to think of wonderful (often brilliantly messy!) activities for the children. They also take such care of their development needs and keep parents consistently updated on this. We honestly struggle to get our daughter to leave in the evening she has so much fun! We could not imagine a nicer childcare setting for our kids.

I really trust the level of care that the whole team at Maples show for my daughters, and I am sure that being there is having a real positive impact on both of their development.
