Maples Day Nursery (Winchester)

We are very happy with the care and attention Maples gives to our child. The wide range of internal and external activities gives a diverse environment to learn and play.

My son has settled well into nursery. The staff in his room are very attentive and take great care of him. The activities they involve him in are well planned and encouraged him to achieve. He has begun speaking more since nursery and also singing many songs that he has learnt at nursery. He really enjoys it there and is always excited to go.

It is like home from home and has an excellent bond with her key worker. When her key worker does her hair, I'm not even allowed to take it out.

The staff at Maples Day Nursery (Winchester) are very helpful and friendly. Our son has a lot of fun every day and is always cheerful when we pick him up at the end of the day. He particularly enjoys playing in the spacious garden and always comes home covered in dirt.

My daughter has a wonderful time in the baby room. She always comes home happy and is excited to go back to nursery the next day. She is well cared for and she enjoys the interaction with other children. I like that she can go outside to play.

Both of my children are very happy and cared for at Maples Day Nursery (Winchester). They are constantly exposed to new experiences and have a stimulating environment to explore and learn in. The staff are very helpful and welcoming and the nursery has a family feel.

I knew nothing about daycare for children until I had my 2 boys. I was unsure about 'someone raising my kids', but soon I realised that it's not how it is. It's fantastic for the boys. They learn so much. I am very grateful for Maples and its staff, and the boys love it.

We recently moved to Winchester form Ireland. We were sorry to leave our prior nursery. However, Maples has far exceeded our expectations. The staff have been so welcoming and loving to our children. We are so thankful to all members of the staff and grateful for their professionalism and genuine care for the kids.

My little girl has been at Maples since 7 months old 9now 18 months) and has built great rapport with the staff. She always seems to have great fun and love the things she makes and brings home. The parent zone is also great as we can see what she is doing and progressing.

My daughter joined Maples Day Nursery when she was about 10-months-old and she took a while to settle but the nursery workers were very supportive. Initially, her keyworker changed quite a few times but that wasn't the fault of the nursery. My daughter is really settled and happy now and the team are really helping her come out of her shell.

The nursery has lots of activities both indoors and out. They are very good through the ages and have allowed her to grow in independence. They are good with caring and it's good that the food is prepared on site as not all nurseries do that.

My daughter recently moved to Bumblebees and has settled very well with all the new children and staff. My only observation is that I miss getting the handover sheet at the end of the day. It was very handy to see what she'd eaten, how she slept etc. The staff do discuss this on collection on the whole, but not always.

I have been particularly impressed by the opportunity to take part in Rugby Tots, which has helped my son start to understand teamwork.

The staff are so friendly and caring, they give everything to make sure the children have an outstanding experience.

Maples has been a fantastic setting for our daughter. She loves the staff, activities and play opportunities.

I would say that the '30 free hours' and the way they are distributed are extremely inconvenient.

I feel the nursery has improved drastically since the split of the BumbleBee room. All the staff are very helpful and approachable. Since arrival, the ability of my child has improved every day and I feel he is reaching learning goals quickly. The online parent zone application is very good and well utilized.
