Cedar Park has been a home away from home for my son and we have been extremely happy with it over the past 8 months. It is a very special place where all the staff know your child, regardless of their class. My son settled in very quickly and all the staff in his class have been brilliant. We would
highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, nurturing and special place for their child.

Our daughter has additional needs and the team at Cedar Park have worked so hard with us to help meet her needs, by adapting ways to do things and using additional aids to help her enjoy activities with the other children and to further her development both physically and cognitively. Since starting
at Cedar Park, we have seen such a difference in our daughter's social skills and she is always so very happy when we go to collect her. We would have no qualms about recommending Cedar Park as a nursery - they have been excellent - we can't recommend them enough.

Our family have been nothing but impressed by Cedar Park but in particular, the room leader in Butterflies. With her experience, enthusiasm and professionalism she leads a fantastic team of staff. Each member of Butterflies brings a different quality to the group and it works very well. The home/nursery
communications have been very good, especially as my son struggled with settling and room changes. We will miss the high standards of the Butterflies team when our son moves up but have heard good things about Pre-School.

We have sent all three children to Cedar Park and could not be happier. Our daughter has moved on to the infant school, but always enjoys going back to pick up her brothers such is her fondness for the place and teachers. Our son's previous room (Butterflies) leader is exceptional. She helped him
so much with potty training, devising a special plan with a watch alarm. She taught him Spanish (which I loved as I lived in Spain), encouraged him to try all foods and was a firm but fair hand when needed to be. She and her co-worker in the room, who is also fantastic, built an igloo out of milk bottles (to highlight plastic waste) for them all to climb in. They are both smiley and welcoming and genuinely care for the children under their watch, and the children know it - you can sense it's a very happy room.

My sons carer is a fantastic person and my son loved every minute of Butterflies. She kept the room fun whilst also teaching him key skills. He learnt Spanish which sadly he has already forgotten as he hasn’t been able to continue it in pre-school. She was kind and knew each of the children’s little
quirks and personalities. When we have spent time with other families we always used to talk about her and one another carer- they were a great team.

My son attended Cedar Park from 9 months until he started school. I found it amazing then which is why I choose to send my daughter there. She started at 9 months and attends 5 days a week. It’s even better than it was before. The staff and team at Cedar Park are amazing from the off they go above and
beyond for your children and your family. It’s so welcoming and positive.

My daughter has the best time and loves going. They do amazing activities, have people come in to do music baby yoga and plenty more. The garden space is incredible and all-natural material. The children are super busy all day every day getting stuck into a wide variety of fun amazing things to keep them entertained and while learning. The whole environment within the nursery is so nurturing and loving. My daughter has come on in leaps and bounds. I couldn’t recommend this Nursery enough.
The food is freshly cooked on-site every day, such a healthy balanced diet. They also cater for my daughters dairy allergy.

My youngest son is in the Butterflies room at Cedar Park and his brother was at the nursery until he started school last year. Cedar Park is a lovely nursery, the staff in Butterflies are brilliant. They make every day exciting for the children, with different things to explore and think about. I have
been really impressed with my son's learning and communication.
The food is excellent and outdoor facilities spacious and recently refurbished.
Although this is a big nursery the approach is personal with the staff taking time to consider each child and family and what works best for them. My son who left last summer was very well prepared for school and I am sure my youngest will be too.

My son joined the Caterpillar room in September 2019. Staff were wonderful in helping him to settle in, and it was obvious he developed a great relationship with all the staff there (and in particular with his primary carer). The team were also very accomodating when we realised our son had a food intolerance.
Our son has since had a seamless transition to the Ladybird room. The team are great at communicating his progress to us, and it's clear our son has learnt a lot during his time at Cedar Park.

The Butterflies Team leader is just utterly brilliant in every way. She has an incredible way of understanding each child's individual needs and catering for them endlessly. She has so much love to give them and the butterflies all know this from the get-go. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the room
and is excellent at instilling manners, routine and good behaviour. My daughter loved every single day with the butterflies team leader and since moving up to preschool she still insists on popping into butterflies for a quick cuddle and chat, which is always greeted with a smile and open arms.

My son has progressed through all the Cedar Park classes and enjoyed every one of them but I'd like to give a special mention to the Butterflies team and to the team leader in particular for making his time with them very special for my son. He is a naturally curious child and happy to take his thoughts
and ideas to the class. The Butterflies team leader was always keen to embrace the children's ideas and build learning around those themes; when my son first became fascinated with space the Butterflies team led the class in learning about the solar system, making their own planets, designing a corner of the classroom into a space centre and even purchasing an astronaut suit for the children to wear. A similar approach was taken for his volcano phase! This determination to listen to the children and give them a voice had a great impact on my child who, as he is about to transition to primary school, is a very happy and confident child. Thank you!

A range of interesting activities for the children, with excellent staff to support them. The main reason we chose Cedar Park it was the staff, their professionalism, caring, positive attitude, and kindness, and this has not changed from the day we first visited the nursery. Each day, children and
parents are greeted with smiles, children are welcomed and cuddled in a caring manner on those days they don't want to separate from parents. Each child is treated as an individual and dealt with on this basis, each day my child has carried out a number of activities but with plenty of free time, mostly outside, which has increased her social skills and confidence. At the end of the day, we are always given feedback on what she has been doing.

Our daughter started at Cedar Park last year and settled in really quickly, I can't speak highly enough of the staff or the facilities. Our daughter absolutely loves it there, she has formed a strong bond with her room team and it's removed so much of the guilt of leaving her when we are working!
However,
we have been incredibly impressed with how they've managed the recent challenges with Covid-19. They were always quick to implement new changes as things changed in the weeks before lockdown and kept us well informed regularly. They were quick to update us on the plans for fees and to keep in touch while our daughter isn't able to attend. She has absolutely loved seeing her room team on videos and clearly still remembers them fondly. Such a difficult time and they've been amazing so far. Thank you, Cedar Park and the Caterpillar team.

I would like to leave a review about the butterflies room leader.
She is a wonderful and amazing lady. The kids all love her as she is warm, kind and really relates to them.
A little while ago, one of the children read the book “A Scarecrows wedding”. She talked to them about weddings and helped
the children plan their very own wedding. They sent out invitations and each child chose the role they were going to play. When the big day came, they all attended nursery in the wedding clothes and she had even liaised with the cook to have special wedding food. It was brilliant!
Our son was in butterflies when I returned to work following maternity leave. The team leader was wonderful at helping our son get used to not having mummy around so much.
She is one of a kind and her hard work and dedication to the children, the nursery and the company should be recognised. Her number two in charge is also amazing. They are a brilliant team and she should also be commended.

My son has been attending Cedar Park Day Nursery (Twyford) for nearly 4 years and is now in his final year currently in preschool. I would highly recommend the Butterflies team/Team Leader member of staff, she was excellent at teaching Spanish, great attention to detail in relaying information to me
at collection, all of the children loved her and she always came up with great activities for the children to do. In my opinion, the Butterflies team/Team Leader is a very valued member of the team and always goes the extra mile to ensure the children are happy, enjoy their day and learn as much as they can in a very fun way.

There are many good points about this nursery, naming few; great environment, friendly facilities, varied food choices, great communication across all starting from the very nice receptionist, supportive nursery manager to all teachers who put so much effort and even the most friendly cook lady I've
ever known! Thanks to all and especially Butterflies team and its Team Leader, my child has a fantastic time at the nursery. She put so much effort in the development of children, teaching them Spanish and most important having days full of fun and happiness! She put so much effort into making this place great, somewhere where children are in the centre of attention and they feel like part of a community.

Our daughter absolutely loves Cedar Park - the staff, the facilities and her friends. She gets to express herself and get involved in a lot of activities in a supportive, fun environment. On top of this, our experience of the staff through all of the age groups / rooms so far has been that they are
extremely helpful and cannot do enough for the children.
Specifically, I would like to mention the Team Leader in our daughter's current group, Butterflies, who has been extremely supportive and has really engaged with her across a number of different areas/topics - including toilet training and learning Spanish! On top of this, the communication to us as Parents, informing us of what she has done each day, and overall progress, has been excellent. Thank you so much.
Overall, we made a great choice in selecting Cedar Park for our daughter. Thank you to everyone for your support so far!

My son has been at Cedar Park for just over a year now. Initially, he struggled to settle in and drop-offs were quite stressful as he would get quite upset when we tried to leave. However, after Christmas, there has been a room shift and the classes are now smaller as a result of the build. What a change
we have seen in him, so much happier and his confidence has massively improved. I think he gets more attention now and is lapping it up. Staff are lovely and genuinely care about the kids. He loves his cuddles with one girl in particular in the morning and we can go to work relaxed that he seems happy.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.808) out of 10 for Cedar Park Day Nursery (Twyford) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.878 for Cedar Park Day Nursery (Twyford) is calculated as follows: ( (257 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 287 Ratings = 4.878
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.93 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cedar Park Day Nursery (Twyford) is based on 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 129 number of registered child places is 25.8. 24 Positive Reviews ÷ 25.8 = 0.93
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
