Cedar Park is situated within 2.5 acres of rural, picturesque grounds. Providing daily access to all age groups, the fantastic outdoor space helps to support emotional and physical development.

They have a Childbase specialised woodland play area which brings the classroom outside into the natural world with sessions led by a qualified forest school leader.

A vegetable patch allows children to grow, harvest and taste their own produce which is served by a dedicated nursery chef.

The nursery teaches children to care about the world they live in and are proud to have gained an Eco-Schools green flag award

Cedar Park offer the extracurricular activity of Usports every other Wednesday for their Bumblebee and Butterflies room, and on a Friday for the Preschool room.

They offer a convenient service to parents, opening 7.30-6.30 Monday to Friday and a fully-inclusive package.

We have been really impressed with the care our son has received at Cedar Park. The staff have played a huge role in helping him settle into his new environment. Fantastic nursery, clean and tidy (well until the kids are let loose!). Parents and kids are greeted with smiles by friendly, staff who know all the kids' names. Our daughter attends Caterpillars and our experience has been very positive, would highly recommend. To be expected the first week there
were some tears (parents and child), the team offered lots of care and comfort and she is now super excited to get to nursery! Little ones get lots of fun activities to do, toys to play with and play outdoors regularly which is great. The team are fun, friendly, supportive and nurturing, it gives you confidence that your child is truly being cared for. Daily feedback including how well she’s eaten, nappy changes and sleep times keeps us informed. We also love the picture updates and information on the app, seeing her happy and engaging in activities is great. To sum up, Cedar Park is a happy place that’s organised and well run and The Caterpillar team are just totally awesome!

Cedar Park staff are attentive and caring.
Genuinely believe they have my childrens interests at heart.
The nursery always appears clean.
The parent zone and updates is ok.
My children do enjoy their time here.
The only reservation I have had is the introduction of ducks, have concerns about
faeces and childrens hands after being outside.

This is my second child who has attended this nursery. Both have been so happy here which I attribute to the staff. Children are loved and cared for in a stimulating environment resulting in confident happy children, which is all a parent can ask for. We have recently left Ladybirds and the transition
and new staff in the room are continuing the style of child-focussed excellent care.

We have two children that attend Cedar Park Day Nursery, five days a week. Both children absolutely love spending time at the nursery. The facilities are fantastic and being able to spend significant amounts of time outside in the gardens come rain or shine, is great for their learning and development.
The staff have been excellent over the past three years and the eldest has been equipped with wonderful social skills, which will help with the transition to school. We would highly recommend the nursery.

Both of our boys love coming to Cedar Park and we are delighted with the care they receive. Both boys are extremely happy and developing really well. The teachers appear to love working here and really go the extra mile with the children, would strongly recommend Cedar Park.

Superb family feel to our nursery.
A real sense of community.
Great staff, feel that management and staff are really striving for continuous improvement.
Training for staff needs to be planned better ie not the week before the Easter holidays. Inconvenient for parents with school-age children.

My son loves coming to pre-school and always runs into the building each morning. The team are very supportive and have helped us with things like encouraging him to eat well at meal times. My son is always coming home with interesting facts he has learnt.

This is a fabulous nursery. My daughter has been coming since she was one and my son joined for pre-school. He gained wonderful confidence for school and my daughter now nearly 3 absolutely loves it here. It is a wonderfully nurturing environment and we are all very happy. Thank you.

The caterpillars room is an amazing room with a brilliant team of practitioners who work really well together. Leaving your baby at nursery can be incredibly daunting and the caterpillars' team are really supportive and competent, helping parents feel comfortable that their babies are being well cared
for by a great team. My son loved caterpillars at Cedar Park, it was a great start to his nursery years and really the beginning of his education.

Our son joined Caterpillars at the beginning of November and has settled in very well. The staff are all very friendly and his key worker has been great in providing the support he need from the outset. He now loves going to nursery and all the things they do.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2013

Rachael is the Manager of Cedar Park Day Nursery and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector for 18 years. Rachael has numerous qualifications, including a BA (Hons) in Children's Learning and Development and a Level 3 Forest School Leader.


What is your favourite feature of your nursery?
The amazing outdoor space, including our Forest School where the children can take part in exciting activities such as campfire building and den making.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I am proud of how my team go above and beyond to create a welcoming and inviting environment for both the children and their families.
