I really can't fault our experience with Kindred Tring. We looked at a few pre-schools but we got a good feeling from them straight away. Our daughter has been there a year and very quickly we all felt really comfortable. We sometimes forgot that she hadn't been there long as both she and we settled
in so easily. I'm honestly dreading when she has to leave as she enjoys it so much and is obviously learning a lot. It's a great mixture of indoor and outdoor play and we're lucky she's there at a time when Kindred invest in them. The staff are all great and love the kids and have connections with them, and us. I could keep going. I have so many good things to say about Kindred Tring.

My daughter has been attending Kindred Royston for a few months now. I am beyond impressed and happy with our experience so far. All the lovely staff have made her feel so welcome and she absolutely loves going to preschool. The range of activities they do with the children is amazing and flexibility
they provide is wonderful. I am one of the emotional mum's and all the lovely ladies have made the transition of her starting preschool so assuring. I cannot recommend Kindred Royston enough, we are so lucky for her position here.

Our daughter started attending the nursery in March, and we honestly couldn't be happier with our experience so far.

Since Demi took over Kindred Church, the communication has been fantastic. She is incredibly kind, understanding, and it's clear she genuinely loves what she does. She always goes

above and beyond to help and support families, and that really shines through in the warm and welcoming environment she has created.

Charley and Edith have also played such an important role in helping our daughter settle in so well. They always make sure we're kept updated and reassured, which has meant so much to us as parents. Thank you both for being so caring and welcoming.

The staff make a real effort to plan activities around our daughter's interests, which we really appreciate and shows how much they care about the children as individuals.

We feel completely confident leaving our daughter in the care of the team, and we're so grateful she gets to attend such a lovely nursery.

My son has been attending Kindred Church House for 8 months, we are so so lucky to have such a wonderful nursery so close by. Our son has come on leaps and bounds, learning lots of skills and building confidence. He has fully settled, is comfortable in the environment and with all the staff, he walks
in and barely looks back.
Whilst there has been a period of adjustment due to a number of staff and management turnaround for a variety of reasons since October, I'm pleased to say everything has settled down. New staff are all lovely and I love the new changes that have been put in place.
I truly do need to praise at how wonderful all the staff are, they are so supportive and friendly and feel they help create that community spirit. They make me feel comfortable to leave my son in their safe and capable care.
As a nursery setting, its a great building with different age appropriate areas. I am given daily updates via the app on my son's care but also nursery events and messages.

Our son absolutely loves attending pre-school here. All the staff are really lovely, friendly and informative. There is plenty of opportunity to spend time outdoors during the day and sometimes to attend the Forrest school. The team always set up amazing activities (often themed around occasions or
events happening throughout the year and/or geared towards the interests of the children) which help build on a range of different skills as well as being lots of fun for the kids. Our son has grown so much in confidence, independence and knowledge since he started. He also loves the pre-school chef and eating (often second helpings!) all the food!

My son has attended Tring Kindred since he was 1 and he is now 4 and my daughter previously attended.

The core team haven't changed for years and that is very reassuring for a mother. The children are looked after by excellent friendly caring professionals and they offer such a variety of activities

for the children and a wonderful environment both inside and out for the children to explore.

I could not recommend this place highly enough.. I will be very very sad when my son has to go to school as will miss all the wonderful staff x

Really good experience with this nursery especially since they have been under new management. The contact with parents is consistent and I feel that staff really care about my child. They listen to feedback and do what they can to make improvements. My child seems to really enjoy it and clearly shows
excitement to be there. I feel they are well equipped and the building is lovely and spacious. They ensure dietary requirements are met and additional nappy checks are in place where needed. The only improvements I would like to see are regarding drop off and collection. I feel an outdoor cover for those rainy and very sunny days waiting outside for opening time would be beneficial. It would be great if the children were ready for collection with coats and shoes on as they can be given notice of collection times. Also if the door could be better monitored as we have waited 5 minutes and sometimes longer to be let inside to collect our child.

Kindred Royston Church House Nursery and Pre-School

I had two daughters attend this nursery - one before and one after it became Kindred Church House. Before it became Kindred Church House, it felt warm and nurturing, with friendly staff we knew, and it was a lovely space. After the change, the atmosphere shifted: the space became overcrowded and chaotic
as the number of children doubled, staff seemed overwhelmed, and cleanliness declined. Drop-offs and pick ups lost their personal touch with nobody at the door which also felt less secure, and I saw staff being snappy with children. There were always new staff but no introductions so we didn't know who anybody was and often my daughter didn't know them either. I raised concerns about unhealthy breakfast options, but the manager was unreceptive and defensive. That said, my daughter's key workers, Devon and Purdy, were excellent - caring and communicative. Ultimately, we withdrew our younger daughter early and moved her to a school preschool.
Reply from Niki McCormick, Marketing Admin at Kindred Royston Church House Nursery and Pre-SchoolThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience and that we did not meet your expectations following the transition to Kindred Church House. We take all feedback seriously, and it is disappointing to hear that you felt the setting became overcrowded, chaotic, and less personal.
At Kindred, the safety, wellbeing, and development of every child is our top priority, and we are committed to reviewing the areas you've highlighted - including staffing continuity, hygiene, communication, and overall atmosphere - to ensure improvements are made.
We sincerely regret that your experience led to your decision to withdraw your daughter and thank you for sharing your concerns, as feedback helps us continue to improve for all families.

I have removed my daughter from this nursery due to the poor standard of care and lack of effective management. What was once an Outstanding setting has deteriorated rapidly, hygiene is poor, the environment feels unclean, and the nursery now relies heavily on agency staff with little continuity for
the children.
Most of the experienced team have left, and leadership appears disorganised and dismissive of parental concerns. Safeguarding and basic welfare standards have slipped, and communication is consistently poor.
It's deeply concerning that such a previously high-quality nursery has declined to this extent. I would not recommend Kindred Royston Church House Nursery until serious improvements are made in management, hygiene, and staffing stability

Kindred has been an amazing nursery for our daughter. She is thriving there, all the staff are so wonderful and all contributing to her development. To see how far she has come is amazing.
She comes away telling us about her day, new stories or songs. They do so many activities and keep them busy all
day. She recently moved to her new room, they made the adjustment so easy for her. She misses her old room, but still gets her warm hellos from previous corers. Kindred really was the best decision for us, we are so happy we found you. Our daughter loves her nursery days, and her nursery family.
