We have had the pleasure of our little girl attending Little Nightingale's Day Nursery from April 25- July 25 (unfortunately only a short time due to moving away). She thoroughly enjoyed attending nursery, always going in and coming away with a smile. The staff are so friendly and caring, you can see
they really enjoy the children they care for. Any queries or comments are answered promptly by nursery staff and the administration team. I would highly recommend this nursery to other parents in the area :) Thank you

I cannot recommend Little Nightingales Nursery highly enough! From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear this is a place where children are truly cared for, nurtured, and encouraged to thrive.
What stands out most is the personal touch. The staff know each child so well and provide regular,
thoughtful updates about progress and milestones. It's clear they genuinely care about the children and their families.
If you're looking for a nurturing, stimulating, and caring environment for your child, Little Nightingales is the place.

The staff are incredible! My son left 2 years ago after a wonderful 4 years and the staff always take time to greet him, ask him how school is and listen to his stories when we're picking up his sister. When he went up to school, the teachers were amazed at how advanced all the Little Nightingales children
were already in phonics and maths.
My daughter loves it here, she loves every single person who works here and tells me they are all her best friends! The management are so helpful and understanding even when working with the frustrating government systems for free hours and they go out of their way to make sure you are getting the best service possible. The owner cares so deeply about the nursery, she knows every single child by name and is always around and joining in the fun.

My son loves his time at Little Nightingales! He has a great relationship with all the staff and enjoys doing all the different activities. He has been there since a baby and now in preschool, I can see how they have helped develop him into a fun-loving boy getting ready for school! I would definitely
recommend. Thank you to the manager and the team!

From the initial telephone call I made to enquire with Little Nightingales, one of the staff members was so helpful and answered all the questions I had. I then had a welcome visit and felt at ease as my daughter had never gone to a nursery before so I was a little apprehensive. All the staff at the
nursery are so friendly, helpful and welcoming. My daughter has blossomed whilst being at the nursery with her development, speaking, walking and general play interaction. The nursery’s facilities are excellent with lots of day-to-day activities for the children to enjoy and also days out. The home-cooked food provided is always fresh and an exciting menu for the children to try new foods and develop their taste buds. I love how I can keep up to date with the day-to-day events my daughter gets up to through the app. It’s nice to know she is happy and enjoying her day. Every staff member welcomes each child and builds a good rapport my little one gets excited to go to nursery when she sees their familiar faces.

We have had our little one at Little Nightingales since May and we are loving it.
All the staff members are always friendly and helpful.
Our little one is happy every time she goes to nursery, so if she is happy, we are happy!

Little Nightingales is a wonderful nursery, our son is thriving there. It is a small nursery in a converted house which adds to the "home from home" vibe. The staff are incredible, they love the children and have developed a close bond with our son who skips in every morning and often comes back covered
in paint/playdough/glitter/felt tip. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

I couldn't be happier Little Nightingales is literally home from home and all the staff are just fab!
My son has been going to Little Nightingales for a few months now, he has been at a childminder setting two days a week since he was six months old and I was concerned about the change of set-up
for him, I don't know why I was as he started off in the Nest Room and he absolutely loves it!

He is now two and has recently changed to the Woodpecker Room and again he seems to be thriving in himself, he is full of personality and confidence due to being around other children and he loves to sing nursery rhymes and loves all the activities they do throughout the day.

The app is one of the best perks as we all know mum guilt shouldn't but does kick in whilst we are at work and getting updates on the food, pictures about what they are doing makes me feel so content to see how happy he is throughout the day knowing he is safe, cared and happy all day for four days a week makes this nursery the best in my eyes.

My two-year-old is currently with Little Nightingales in Nightingale Cottage. The standard of care there is absolutely wonderful, the staff are all so lovely, so helpful and so supportive of my child's needs. The team have been flexible in accommodating my son's hours and pickup times and cannot thank
them enough for making this nursery journey such a pleasant experience. Not to mention that my son says buy to us and doesn't look back as he's so excited to start the day there and play with his friends two days a week! Think that's the best sign!

I cannot speak highly enough of Little Nightingales Children’s Day Nursery. My son started there just before he was one and absolutely loved it. It prepared him superbly for Reception, creating an enthusiasm for learning through the amazing variety of activities he participated in and the fabulous
dedication of all the staff. My daughter is currently in preschool and is thriving. Since starting at the Nursery just before she was one she has progressed enormously in all aspects. The staff really develop excellent relationships with both children and parents and the home from home atmosphere is brilliant. There is a real sense of community around Little Nightingales.

My son settled in super quick to the nursery, he has had such a lovely experience the past four months he’s attended. The staff have been great with keeping me updated while I’ve had eating and sleep issues with my son. He has learnt so much in the past four months and he continues to learn and develop.
All the staff are super friendly and it has been great getting to know everyone. Excited to see what 2022 holds in store for my son.

When I began looking for a nursery for my two year old a friend recommended Little Nightingales and I cannot thank her enough for raving about them so much. At the time we could only view the nursery out of hours (due to covid) but we instantly fell in love with their set up and I could easily imagine
my little one loving her time there.

My daughter has now been with Little Nightingales for over two months and she settled in much quicker than I expected. She had not experienced anything like nursery before so I was pleasantly shocked when after a few tears at drop off on her first week, the next week she bolted in the door and didn’t even stop to say bye to me!

The girls have been excellent in supporting us with her potty training. She has been taken out on walks numerous times, even to a local pumpkin patch at Halloween. She has learnt many new songs and she has made some friends. I can tell she loves it and she is always excited to go to nursery.

We looked at many nurseries for our son, but when we came to view Little Nightingales we just had that gut feeling that this place was right for us. It truly is a home from home environment. Our son started here in The Nest at age 1 and is now age 4 in pre-school. He will be leaving soon for primary
school and we will miss everyone at Little Nightingales. The children are truly cared for in a safe and educational environment, giving the children every opportunity to be creative and independent. Each of the units are thoughtfully laid out and adapted/updated to suit the changing needs of the children. The staff are caring, easy to communicate with, and are passionate about their jobs and the children they look after. I highly recommend this nursery and pre-school to anyone looking for a safe and secure environment for their little one. What a great start to our son's journey. Thank you Little Nightingales!

My daughter had been attending this nursery since she was one years old, she is now three years old and is in preschool. My daughter is always full of exciting stories about her days at preschool. I have been happy with the approachable manner of the girls who care for her on Thursdays and Fridays and
they all have a good rapport with my daughter, husband and myself. The approach the nursery takes to engage the kids, to teach and prepare them is always clearly communicated and they are open to ideas or feedback.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.107)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.107) out of 10 for Little Nightingales Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.940 for Little Nightingales Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (78 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.94
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.167 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Nightingales Day Nursery is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 75 number of registered child places is 15. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 15 = 0.467
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
