We are so impressed with the Harbourside, where our grandson attends three days a week. The location is perfect offering the children daily, safe access to the beach and the nature reserve. The building has has been so thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, light and engaging set of rooms for the
children.
Meals are freshly prepared on site.
The Hopscotch educational philosophy permeates everything and all the staff are committed to it. Our grandson's key worker sends detailed monthly reports outlining his progress and future targets in learning, social and developmental goals. There are weekly reports of his group's activities outside and in the setting, accompanied with fantastic photos showing the children fully engaged in a very wide range of activities. The learning is carefully planned to link to the children's interests but also to stimulate observation, enquiry, motor skills, scientific, social, numeracy and literacy development.
Daily hand overs give detailed feedback.

I already love Hopscotch Fareham! From our first viewing when Dani showed us around we felt safe and at home. Our baby started this week, two mornings and has settled so well already!
I want to say thank you to your team for making us feel so welcome and settled. Special thanks to Anna who has already
learnt our names and it's really nice to be greeted personally, to Olivia and to Amy, they're so lovely and Kayda clearly likes them already!
I'm so pleased we chose to use Hopscotch Fareham.
Facilities seem great, particularly love the play area. Food always smells incredible, being prepared and cooked onsite.

My son has attended this nursery since it opened in September 2024, and I can't praise it enough. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and there is always a lovely atmosphere at both drop-off and pick-up. Management are approachable and always willing to help. His key workers in both the baby and toddler
rooms have been fantastic, keeping us updated on his progress and advising how to support him at home. The facilities are clean, well-equipped, and the outdoor areas are stimulating and enjoyable for the children. Any minor issues have been dealt with promptly, and the nursery is always accommodating with personal requests. I've attended stay-and-play sessions, which provided great insight into his day and reassurance that he's happy and well cared for. My son comes home talking excitedly about what he's done, who he's played with, and what he's eaten during the day. His development has come on immensely, and I'm so grateful for the excellent care he receives.

My little girl has been attending Hopscotch Eastleigh since she was 7 months old, she is nearly 2 years old. From her time in the Baby room, through to Waddlers and now going for settle visits to the Toddler room. Since starting, I have been very pleased with her progress and all the activities that
are on offer. The staff provide weekly roundups on the app at the end of the week, so us parents can see the activities the children have been involved in, which I love to see. I am also happy with the balanced and wide variety of food on offer, as this has given her opportunities to try things, she may not necessarily have at home. All the staff have been great with her and are enthusiastic in encouraging her to grow and develop. She absolutely loves Nursery and it is reassuring to know I can go to work and she is happy there. I cannot recommend the Nursery enough. Linda and the management team are so welcoming too. Thank you!

My son started at Hopscotch Fareham in April 2024 in the baby room and has progressed through to Toddlers. The care and education is second to none. As a previous nursery manager elsewhere I can attest to how outstanding the team are. The opportunities provided are just fantastic and each member of
the team goes above and beyond. They are wonderful practitioner who take time to build bonds with parents and family members as well as their key children. I cannot recommend this setting highly enough.
Our child's key person knows my child so well, she gives advice and support when needed. He has bonded to his key person beautifully! My child has then built bonds with the whole team through the solid foundation he has there.
The management team are constantly striving to improve and add to the setting and their teams knowledge base. They know each child and parent and give such a warm welcome each time we enter the setting!

My child has not even been at Hopscotch for a month and I am delighted with the progress she has made. As a nervous mum, I was skeptical with leaving my daughter but the care my child has received has made me feel very reassured that she really is in the best of hands! My daughter talks non stop about
the staff members at home and is very keen for her nursery days!
There is plenty of opportunities for a variety of learning as there are always exciting activities out for the children.

The baby room at Hopscotch Botley has been absolutely wonderful for our little boy. He started just before his first birthday, and from day one, the team has provided everything we could have hoped for and more. We've always felt completely at ease leaving him each day, knowing that his schedule is
thoughtfully tailored to his needs and that the staff are flexible and attentive, always willing to adjust routine to suit him. What truly stands out is the warmth and care they show - there's never a shortage of cuddles, and it's clear how much they genuinely care for the children. We also really appreciate the regular updates and photos, which give us so much reassurance and joy seeing what he's been up to. He's learning so much every day, and he doesn't stop babbling at us on the journey home, filling us in on his day at nursery.

From my experience, it's best to speak directly with your child's key person or use the family app, as this helps to resolve things faster and ensures better communication. Meals are generally good, though there are quite a lot of crackers and similar snacks - more fresh, balanced options would be lovely.
Since the nursery has its own kitchen, a bit more variety and a slightly heartier afternoon meal would make a real difference for children staying all day. Sometimes I notice children crying for longer before being comforted, and usually senior staff step in rather than assistants. Small details like wiping noses or noticing toilet signals could be improved. I appreciate the updates and photos in the app, though a bit more detailed feedback about each child's day would be helpful. Overall, I trust the team and can see that they care, but a little more consistency and attention to detail would make the experience even better.

My children have always liked this nursery. The array of activities , great and varied menu and above all staff who genuinely cares for kids development and wellbeing .
The children enjoy music activities and getting their hands stuck in with sensory play each day.
They learn to eat and experience
cultures through food.
All of those are invaluable experiences !

My little one has been attending Hopscotch Titchfield for a year now and I couldn't be happier. My daughter started on Toddlers room last year and has recently moved onto preschool. The staff members are kind, supportive and knowledgeable. They've helped her settle in nicely and I was given regular
updates regarding her progress. The key workers have taken time to built a positive rapport with her allowing her confidence to grow. She clearly trusts them and feels safe in a environment that allows her to explore and develop. I'd definitely recommend this nursery.

Both my sons attending Hopscotch Day Nursery Sholing, they absolutely love going in. My 2 year old goes in happy and comes out always happy within the 2-3 rooms theres always activities set up ready for the children to get straight in, also the staff in this room are amazing and my son feels comfortable
going to anyone if needed. Hand overs are always indepth.
My 1 year old also attends and loves seeing his key worker when going in, he loves exploring all there interesting activities and is growing as a whole since he started. Always following routine and get indepth handovers at pick up time.
When ever we walk into the reception my son has to high 5 the Manager and deputy even though they could be busy they still make time for him to say hi. The foyer area is always clean and tidy.
Overall all staff members are polite and welcoming!

The staff are absolutely amazing with my child and always providing updates on how she's doing I couldn't fault them if I tried. Olivia and the girls are always so happy and ready to help, the food is amazing and my child absolutely loves going in there every week!

Brilliant nursery, helps my son with everything he struggles with. He has great fun and is always enthusiastic about telling me what he has done there when I pick him up.
