This nursery is exceptional and received an 'outstanding' Ofsted accreditation in May 2018.

Situated at Whitley Lodge in the grounds of Whitley Lodge First School the purpose-built stand-alone nursery is well resourced and offers outstanding quality care for babies and children aged one year to four years in Whitley Bay.

Open plan rooms with a well-organised layout provide the children with free access to a wide and stimulating range of activities, whilst keeping the company ethos of creating a home from home environment.

The nursery also offers a breakfast club, after school and wrap around care with the school together with a holiday club for all.

The nursery is proud to have the prestigious Millies's Mark accreditation awarded in 2018, having this award demonstrates the nursery's commitment to going above and beyond the minimum requirements for keeping children safe.

All staff working directly with children not only hold a paediatric first aid certificate but are also competent in how to apply this in practice.

I have used Zone4kids at Whitley Lodge for the past 2 years of summer holiday clubs, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Everything about the setting makes me, as a parent (and a past childcare/school worker), feel so happy, comfortable and confident that my child is very well looked after. As
a fussy eater and very emotionally triggered, I am never worried that my daughter's needs are not met. Every member of staff seems to understand each child as an individual and supports their individuality. On top of amazing care, I have never experienced a setting that goes "all out" with the experiences/activities they provide, from bouncy castles to magicians to pottery painting, it is pure excellence!

Couldn't be happier with our experience here. My child absolutely loves it and is so comfortable with all of the girls. It's clear she is really enjoying it and making so much progress since joining. Can't thank all the of the girl's enough for all that they do. You are all amazing!

My little one took a minute to warm up to nursery and the staff were so kind and understanding, pacing his visits and helping him with 1-1 time etc. It feels like a really warm and person centred culture here. All the staff know each child and my son's key worker is brilliant. I feel really comfortable
leaving him here and can tell when I pick him up that he's had a great time. He is learning a lot too.

Over the past 18 months they have provided exceptional care for our babies (now toddlers) who have grown in terms of both development and confidence. Our kids started 2 months ago and settled in straight in, the activities are fantastic and they seem to really be developing our kids. The staff are great and have made the transfer over really easy. The food is really healthy and has made them more adventurous eaters.
