As a first time Mam I couldn't ask for more. My baby boy has been coming since he was 6 months old and the staff in the Caterpillar room are second to none. The care and love they show for him puts my mind at ease and the amount of communication we have is extraordinary. Recommend 100 times over!

Adam has been a fantastic key worker, and developed a lovely relationship with my little one. He's always happy to be dropped at nursery and they take good care of him while he is there. Staff a caring, and activities are varied and look engaging. He loved when he went for an outing last summer, so
I wish he had the chance to do a couple more of those, but other than that I don't have any suggestions, just keep up the great work. The app is useful to keep updated.

The staff at this nursery go above and beyond to provide the correct care and support for my grand daughter. As a child with a number of health conditions, the nursery as a whole has adapted and supported the care that she requires (this is ever changing) and nothing is a problem. The communication
is fantastic and also the ability to navigate such complex situations with grace. I would also like to mention the fact that this nursery brings in instructors for lots of extra activities such as tennis, Dance etc.

Tynemouth nursery have cared for our little boy from 13 months old. We were quite nervous in the beginning as he had never been away from us but the staff have been amazing from day 1. They were very supportive of us both during settling in sessions and put us at ease. They're genuinely so caring, try
their best to accommodate our wishes and communicate very well daily through verbal feedback and the app (which we find super useful to know how his day's gone in terms of sleep, food, nappies and photo updates for reassurance). All staff members we've come across from management to care staff have a genuine interest in how our boy is doing, all know him by name and are always polite and kind. He's been there around 4-5 months now and really enjoying it, especially the outdoor play in the garden and messy play indoors. We couldn't fault them and would not hesitate to recommend them. As an ex-pat family with no additional support in the UK, we were very nervous for starting nursery but the staff have been absolutely wonderful in getting our daughter settled and for putting our minds at ease. Everyone is so welcoming and already feel like family. The daily updates and photos are
so lovely to see, especially when the group goes out on little adventures. The genuine care and kindness shown by the staff towards not only the children but their parents is truly appreciated.

Both of my boys came to Tynemouth nursery at Preston Avenue.
I loved the rooms and the space outside and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
In the last few months I had some concerns about staffing and ratios and brought this to the attention of the staff who were reassuring and I felt my concerns
were being dealt with.
Unfortunately my youngest little boy, who was 2 at the time, came home with 4 significant bite marks (on 2 separate occasions). All bites were not witnessed which was the concern.
After this we removed him immediately. This has been deeply upsetting as a family and has had an impact on us all.
I just want to write this as I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else and I would just like the nursery and higher management to learn from this. The nursery has some amazing staff and has the potential to be amazing. Unfortunately we ended on such an upsetting event. I do feel with some staffing situations addressed, things could be improved.

We can't recommend Tynemouth Nursery highly enough. Our daughter started at 9 months old and has stayed for preschool and our son has recently started at 9 months old. We have been so impressed with the care shown to both our children, from initial settling-in sessions and beyond. The staff and management
team are amazing, and genuinely care about all the children. The nursery is a happy environment to walk into and the staff are always smiley, friendly and show a real interest. We have been really impressed by the extracurricular activities that the nursery has offered including music, ballet, football, rugby and tennis! The staff have lots of engaging activities planned every day and it has been really amazing to see our children's development during their time there. We love getting updates on their day via the app and receiving detailed observations and assessments to show their development too.

We have entrusted both of our daughters to Tynemouth Nursery and we could not be more impressed with the exceptional staff. They consistently go above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming environment for all the children.
One member of staff, in particular, is one of the kindest individuals we
have had the pleasure of meeting. The way our little girl eagerly greets her every morning speaks volumes about the care and nurture she provides. Four other staff members are all outstanding in their roles and we are truly grateful for all they do. The staff at Tynemouth Nursery are all so lovely. The nursery always has the warmest, most welcoming feel to it. All the staff are so polite, kind and helpful and take such good care of the children. You can see they have genuine, strong connections with them and this isn't just the staff in the actual

Tynemouth Nursery has been a very welcoming and warm environment for my son. He found it challenging to adapt to a nursery environment, at first, but the staff have all been kind and supportive. The staff are very friendly when I come to pick up my granddaughter. The interaction between staff and children is always very positive. The staff provide you with all the information ie last feed, sleep etc. There appears to be a lot of activities available for the children.

Starting our girls off at nursery was heart-wrenching as you don't want to let go but picking this nursery has been the best decision for them and us as a family. Our girls are 2 and 3 and are absolutely thriving and flourishing here. The staff are better than you could wish for and have formed gorgeous
bonds with our girls. The love and care goes above and beyond any expectations we had. We are always asked by our girls if the staff members can come to our house for tea! They'd be very welcome. Can't recommend this nursery enough.

We absolutely love Tynemouth Nursery on Preston Avenue and our children do as well. They have come on so much since joining a year ago and are both so excited to see all staff, they are welcomed with big smiles and hugs from everyone who works there as soon as they come in the door and always greeted
by name even if the children aren't in their room/class. The staff are very communicative with us and take on any request we give. They are constantly doing new activities in their room and getting lots of time outside. We're also really pleased with the varied meals they receive.O verall, very happy we enrolled the girls here!

Our son has been attending this nursery since January 2024. Looking back, we had a slightly shaky start as he didn't love being left straight away (which child does?), and with our second invoice we received notice of a price increase - perhaps the latter could have been handled better, or perhaps it
was just a sensitive time for us. That's about it for the negatives, so let's fast forward to present day; he loves the place and particularly the staff. The nursery have taken care to adjust his key worker to meet his learning and emotional needs, the wider care for him is exemplary and his welfare is at the heart of the service. It feels very much like the staff are passionate and take genuine joy in helping him develop. An important point is that if there are any concerns (a rarity), the management are responsive and accountable. Our warmest thanks to the staff and unreserved recommendation to prospective parents and children.

This is a fantastic nursery with amazing staff who have helped my daughter settle into the nursery with ease. My daughter loves going to nursery and is always cared for to a high standard. The activities offered are always very creative and promote all areas of development. There is a wide variety of

My son goes to Tynemouth Nursery one day a week which has been a hard routine to adjust to. The staff have done everything they can to help him settle. He now walks in with arms open wide. The staff are all friendly and kind and they all know him not just the staff from his room. I am confident he is
well cared for and happy whilst there. They offer a range of activities that meet his developmental needs and his social, language and motor skills have greatly improved whilst attending. The outdoor garden is a great space and the catering team do a great job.

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2018

My childcare journey began in 2018 as supply staff, before becoming a full-time practitioner and then a room leader in 2019. In 2022, I joined Tynemouth Nursery Group as Preschool Room Leader, progressing to Deputy Manager in 2023 and now Nursery Manager.


The most rewarding part of my role is seeing children grow in confidence and independence every day. I’m passionate about creating a nurturing environment and supporting families throughout their journey with us.


I recently completed Mental Health First Aid training, recognising its importance for children, staff, and parents alike. Outside of nursery life, I love spending time with my little boy and enjoying weekends with family or at the gym.
