I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough, my Son absolutely loves everything about it. The friendly staff, his friends, the activities and the food. He has developed incredibly well under the watchful eye of the amazing staff, they support everything you ask of them and I cannot ask anything more.

The nursery is good and taking good care of the child. I would like to recommend to my family and friends.


One suggestion, it will be good if we can get an online summary of the daily routine summary rather than the paper.

My son is very happy at this nursery and his with carers. He is back now after 7-months off due to the covid crisis and was happy to return. The nursery site is new and one of the best I have seen locally. The garden is lovely and very spacious as are the rooms.
The girls in his room are friendly

Overall, Bright Horizon didcot nursery is very good. All the staff are very supportive and take care of our child whenever she is missing home. They do perform good learning and educational activities.

The nursery staff are helpful in so many ways, and the kids love going. We couldn’t ask for more. We know the children are well looked after and their learning has come on so far; we are very impressed!

Pre the Covid-19 pandemic, my child attended up to 30hrs a week regularly and I am a key worker. During lockdown, I removed my child out of conscience at the strain the nursery was under, with the verbal assurance that we "would not lose our place" and when I needed to place him back, both the Branch
and Head Office didn't care or offer any solutions. They left us completely disenfranchised as a family. Other children were welcomed back but not our child. They completely failed us as a provider and ignored our call to their complaints officer, who promised it would be actioned immediately. We never heard from them again. No transition meeting in preparation for school start. Our ratings for Management and Value for Money reflect this.

Since moving to the area, I had viewed at least 6 different nursery/daycare settings and none of them compared to this one. On the moment I was welcomed into the building we were in awe of the standards of cleanliness, care and the children in all rooms were happy! I didn’t hear any children crying!!
My son settled very quickly in the oak 2 toddler room because all the staff and the room leader made such a big effort to get to know us and the relationships formed naturally, it was such a relief for me. Being in the childcare industry myself for over 11 years, I can honestly say this nursery speaks for itself.
Would highly recommend to all.

My twin boys attend in the Williow's room and I am really happy with the care they receive and have no complaints about anything. The boys have a great bond with their key person and have really settled in since moving from the baby room. Management team are supportive and help me when I am feeling
anxious and are always there to talk to if I need them. My son is really into the stacking toys and his brother loves the trains, there is a wide variety of toys on offer. A good mixture of free play and planned activities and we can really see the benefits showing at home. We are happy and have recommended the nursery to friends and family.

Our daughter starting nursery was going to be one of the most daunting experiences, but the team and her keyworker, in particular, have been fantastic and made it a lot easier for us to be happy to leave her. Only just moved to the area but this is a fantastic nursery. I was with a Bright Horizons before and will always recommend them again to other parents as it’s excellent in a multitude of ways. I always feel safe in the knowledge that though I need to leave my children and go to work they are in the
safest hands possible until I return, they give you a huge peace of mind.

I have found the staff to be very professional, patient and attentive to children at this well-managed and quite spacious nursery. The staff in fact even reaches out to update us with any changes in the child's mood or social behaviour - apart from any health concerns she may have.

I love this nursery and I can’t recommend highly enough.
My daughter is 2.5 yo and been attending Bright Horizons Didcot for the past 4 months. She absolutely loves it.
The staff is really friendly and caring, and she loves her key person so much that they are like a family member now.
The nursery
is very clean, they have a healthy menu, and they always make sure at the end of the day, to provide a full description of the kids day at the nursery.
The admin staff is also very nice and willing to help, in any question or problem you might have.
I’m very pleased with Bright Horizons Didcot, and they deserve all the positive feedback for their hard work, to provide the kids with such an amazing atmosphere, and create in them lovely memories of childhood.

My daughter is in the age 2-3-year-old room and absolutely loves coming to nursery. Since starting at this setting four months ago, she has developed and progressed in leaps and bounds. Her speech, exploration and reasoning skills are amazing. She has started to recognise letters and numbers, read independently
and listen in a group. She is a determined and confident girl who has exceptional care and encouragement from all the ladies in her team. I am delighted with her key person and all the staff in her room.

My son has been attending for a few months now and has settled in brilliantly. He is always happy when we pick him up after a fun-filled day and we really appreciate the feedback we get every day at pick up.
He has allergies and this has been handled brilliantly by the staff as this was a real worry
for us, he eats better food at nursery than at home!

The girls at the nursery are exceptional. My kid has had trouble going into nursery every morning. It is hard for a parent to say goodbye when their kid is in tears and if his key worker was not there, he used to cry. I talked with the other girls and asked them to make a bond with him. They implemented
it quickly and the issue has been resolved. He is going in happily every morning now. You discuss, request and talk about any concerns about a child with them and they take it seriously and work towards it.
We would recommend this nursery saying our kid is in safe hands.
I am a little unhappy about the fee structure when compared to other nurseries but the services are good.

Brand new, purpose-built facility. Well thought out design, with babies based on the first floor with their own dedicated outdoor area, and toddlers based downstairs able to wander in and out of the garden as they please. The staff are extremely helpful and create a very supportive learning environment
for our little ones. My son is very happy there.

My daughter was one of the first to attend the nursery when she was around six months. It has nearly been a year and she seems to be thoroughly enjoying it. The staff are always extremely happy and sweet and even the managers recognise my daughter when she comes in. They had arranged Mothers Day afternoon
tea and Fathers Day event as well as sending homemade cards. We have a communication book which has detailed notes and they always add on any requested extra information by me. I love how they are always happy to do anything I ask, for example, I wanted them to tell me if her number two nappies were solid or soft.

Our little boy started at this nursery in July 2019 and he absolutely loves it. He comes home at the end of the day very tired, which is a good sign that he is having a great time playing and doing different activities. We really like that they spend a lot of time outdoors in the nice weather and that
there always seems to be something going on in the toddler room for the children to do i.e playing in the sandpit, singing, painting. We love that they take photos of him doing activities so that we can see what he has been up to.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and we feel that we can ask any questions without any concerns. The facilities are excellent and the menu is varied and interesting, and they seem to manage to get him to eat things he won't eat at home which is a miracle!
The overall "feel" of the nursery is inviting and positive and they have been able to add extra days at short notice with ease. We would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.

Ellis

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2011

Ellis has worked in childcare for 18 years, gaining extensive experience across a variety of settings with children ranging from birth to 11 years old. She joined the Didcot setting when it opened in September 2018, starting as Deputy Manager. Over the past nine years with Bright Horizons, Ellis has steadily grown and developed, advancing through several leadership roles before becoming Nursery Manager.


In the past six months, Ellis has had the privilege of presenting at the National Nursery Managers Show at both the NEC in Birmingham and the Excel in London. These opportunities allowed her to share her passion for incorporating a sustainability curriculum into early years education. She provided practical ideas to fellow professionals in the industry, finding it deeply rewarding to contribute to such an important conversation and inspire others in the field.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Childcare has been at the heart of Olivia’s journey since leaving sixth form in 2014. Over the years, Olivia has developed her skills and grown her career in early years education, moving from an Early Years practitioner to most recently Deputy Manager.


Olivia is passionate about continuous learning, collaboration with families, and building strong, supportive relationships to create the best outcomes for every child. Olivia feels a huge sense of pride in contributing to shaping young lives, supporting them on their unique journeys.

Hannah

Job Title: Third in Charge

Hannah is our Third in Charge. She has worked in childcare since 2012, gaining a variety of experience in different nurseries and age groups from 3 months old to 5 years. Hannah transferred to the Didcot Nursery in 2018 and quickly became the room leader of the 2-3's room. In May 2019, Hannah became Third in Charge and stepped up to maternity cover as Deputy Manager in 2020 and now remains as the Third in Charge for Didcot. In this position, Hannah works closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to implement high-quality programs, coordinate staff, and maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for all children.
