This nursery has consistently provided excellent childcare services throughout the last eighteen months, including during the lockdown period. The staff are friendly, professional and communicative and the recent adoption of the Bright Horizons app has further improved the experience as a whole. The
nursery is clean and appears well-run.

Really friendly staff who understand what a child needs to settle in. Good management team and helpful through the process.

We have been very happy with our experience at Bright Horizons, Didcot. The staff and management handled COVID very well and the communication was excellent. The staff and key workers are very caring and there is always a warm welcome. Our little one comes out smiling and has a great time in preschool.

Since my daughter has started at Bright Horizons Didcot in December 2020, after she moved from another nursery where she had been since the age of 9 months, I was worried about how she would deal with the change of the setting.
Bright horizons team were very reassuring and supportive throughout the
settling sessions. From the first day she came home happier and more exhausted than she had ever been before.
That staff are always happy and bright, communication is regular, effective and professional; Activities are varied and have really promoted my daughter's communication and understanding as she is an EAL child ( English is an Additional Language).
The cook makes delicious, fresh and healthy meals, she loves them.
Overall, Bright Horizons Didcot Nursery is a caring environment where my daughter is flourishing. I could not recommend it more.

The team at Didcot Day Nursery are fantastic. My little boy is at ease with all of them and has a great time in their setting.
You are always met with a smile from any member of the team and communication is great.

My daughter has attended nursery since she was 9 months old. I can't thank all staff enough for how welcoming and supportive they have been from that first day onwards.
I love hearing about my daughters day and seeing weekly photos on the app makes you feel more connected to the different activities
they plan each week.
Seeing my daughter happily walk into her room makes dropping her off easier and we are always greeted with friendly faces.
Thank you to the catering staff too who seem to make meals my daughter will happily eat!

This is my 2nd review about a year on and my view remains unchanged. I cannot fault this nursery in the care of my son. He loves nursery and everyone there. His key person has been fantastic with him this year, supporting his toilet training (literally a couple of days) and getting him ready for the
arrival of his sister. Communication with the nursery is exceptional and the launch of the app is a welcome addition - love getting daily photo. My son is excited to go in most days and chatters all the way home. He is making friends well and appears to have an extremely varied day. The food is great and apparently ‘better at nursery than home’. Number 2 is on the waiting list so fingers crossed for a place!

The nursery staff are warm and welcoming and there are always fun activities set up for the children especially crafting. They do lots of outdoor play too, my son is very happy here. They have also been very supportive with dietary requests and have lots of healthy food menus for flexibility. I'm very

We have been at Bright Horizons Didcot since Feb 2020 and my daughter settled in so fast and has loved her time in the 3 units she’s worked her way through. The staff in each have been wonderfully caring and nurturing with great open communication - particularly in usual ways of operating. I am so content
sending my daughter there to be well looked after each day and had no hesitation in putting my unborn child on the waiting list!

Our daughter has just left the nursery to go to school and she had been at the nursery since the day they opened. She’s had a fantastic journey and the staff have been incredibly supporting her all the way from potty “training” to writing her name. As parents we have been happy with the level of care

Since day one - two years now - the nursery and staff have been amazing.
Super supportive to the children and also the parents. They go above and beyond and there is a real personal touch feeling and the staff genuinely care about you as a family, not just the children they care for.
The kids are
never unhappy or hesitant to go, even when feeling unwell.
They barely ever say "goodbye" as are just so keen to get in and start learning and having fun.
Can't thank the team enough for making the kids feel safe and we as parents feel safe leaving them in your care.
Also, a massive thank you for putting yourselves out there during Covid and stay open literally the whole time. That shows a massive credit to hygiene practice, super hardworking and committed staff and keeping key workers doing their thing - It's thanks to you all that key workers could continue to work.

We have been so impressed with the nursery as a whole and particularly with the valuable role of our son's key person and the deputy manager. The communication has been excellent, as has the level of care and support for our son. We feel very happy and confident leaving our son in the care of the staff

Our daughter has been a resident in the nursery part-time from 13 months old and is thriving in the care of the team here. We moved out of the immediate area in February but couldn't bring ourselves to move nursery as she is clearly so happy and settled. In recent months the dedication and commitment
of the team towards the safety and wellbeing of our daughter has really shone through. I'm now dreading the day she has to move on to big school! Thank you team!

Both of my children have thrived here - they have strong connections with their keyworkers, and feel fully supported and engaged.
We were lucky enough to be part of the nursery pre-Covid - so could come into the classrooms and see all of the fun activities.

With 6-months off nursery due to Covid and then returning but to a new nursery that we hadn't been able to visit, we were really nervous, however, the team there have been amazing and really helped not only our little boy in settling but also put our mind at ease too. All the staff are friendly and
professional, and they have really made it feel at home even though we are in the middle of a pandemic. Our little boy comes out laughing and happy every day. The variety of food he gets it's fantastic, and the activities he is getting involved are varied and help him learn. We would really recommend Bright Horizons Didcot to anyone.

Let's all agree that these last six months have been challenging. Yet through these difficult times, the team at Bright Horizons have been supportive, flexible and understanding. It is delightful to have a team almost back to "normal" which has been brilliant. The joy one hears when the kids go back
home and describe the events of the day is just the tip of the fun iceberg! The kids have been enjoying every moment and are thrilled to see their friends. Through these difficult times, the team at Bright Horizons are keeping us updated with the new regulations, despite the changes every week by the Government! They continue to take loving care of our angels, giving them care and nurture them to grow up to have their own personality - as parents, I would like to thank the team at Bright Horizons for their stellar support they continue to give this community.

Having moved here from another nursery in January 2020, I have nothing but praise for the wonderful warm setting my child currently attends.
Knowing your child is safe and well whilst you go to work on a daily basis is such a relief for any mother. They not only look after your children but encourage
and stimulate them to learn and better themselves. They noticed very quickly that my son was getting bored and needed to be pushed up a class. I cannot thank you enough for the time, effort and professionalism you give to each of these kids. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.
It is also clean and looked after, and the food is outstanding.

Ellis

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2011

Ellis has worked in childcare for 18 years, gaining extensive experience across a variety of settings with children ranging from birth to 11 years old. She joined the Didcot setting when it opened in September 2018, starting as Deputy Manager. Over the past nine years with Bright Horizons, Ellis has steadily grown and developed, advancing through several leadership roles before becoming Nursery Manager.


In the past six months, Ellis has had the privilege of presenting at the National Nursery Managers Show at both the NEC in Birmingham and the Excel in London. These opportunities allowed her to share her passion for incorporating a sustainability curriculum into early years education. She provided practical ideas to fellow professionals in the industry, finding it deeply rewarding to contribute to such an important conversation and inspire others in the field.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Childcare has been at the heart of Olivia’s journey since leaving sixth form in 2014. Over the years, Olivia has developed her skills and grown her career in early years education, moving from an Early Years practitioner to most recently Deputy Manager.


Olivia is passionate about continuous learning, collaboration with families, and building strong, supportive relationships to create the best outcomes for every child. Olivia feels a huge sense of pride in contributing to shaping young lives, supporting them on their unique journeys.

Hannah

Job Title: Third in Charge

Hannah is our Third in Charge. She has worked in childcare since 2012, gaining a variety of experience in different nurseries and age groups from 3 months old to 5 years. Hannah transferred to the Didcot Nursery in 2018 and quickly became the room leader of the 2-3's room. In May 2019, Hannah became Third in Charge and stepped up to maternity cover as Deputy Manager in 2020 and now remains as the Third in Charge for Didcot. In this position, Hannah works closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to implement high-quality programs, coordinate staff, and maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for all children.
