Bright Horizons, Didcot is a well-organised, caring, fantastic preschool. Parents receive good communication and updates. The children have a wide range of themed activities and crafts. The staff are friendly and attentive to the children's needs.

My daughter started Bright Horizons Didcot in 2019 at aged 8 months. She has thrived in the setting. Staff are kind and comforting towards her. She has struggled with being left at times, but staff have always managed to reassure her and make her feel at ease.

To the manager and team. We wanted to send through our gratitude for organising the graduation for the preschool year of 2022. As one of the few kids who has been through all stages within the nursery and preschool, my son and his friends loved the preparation, the practice and the entire ceremony.
It was excellently coordinated by all members involved. It was impressive to see the photo booths, the decorations, the music playlist and wide range of goodies in the bag! The food spread prepared too was splendid. As parents, we would like to thank all members for their support and effort in making the day memorable. Given the care, consideration and support to all the kids over the past years, the team ought to be applauded for going over and beyond. Many thanks for caring for our young ones, and for giving them a delightful start to their learning journey.

My son is leaving Bright Horizons Didcot this month after 2-3 really good years there. So many of the nursery nurses are so friendly and always have a smile on their faces, greeting the children really positively every day. My only point is that some of the staff are not quite so lively as others but
still pleasant. The nursery really took an interest in his development when he joined which was very different to the nursery he had been at prior and his development really accelerated under that attention. The facilities are great and the daily updates through the app are fantastic so we can see what he is up to day to day. Through a difficult covid period the nursery handled the situation well, which was reassuring. I would highly recommend sending your children here. Thank you to the team

I cannot thank Bright Horizons Didcot enough for the way in which they have looked after and cared for our Son. He has thrived during his time with you all and talks so highly of all the staff every day. He thoroughly enjoys his days at pre school and we will both be upset in September when he leaves

I was very happy with the nursery as the staff are very friendly and responsible. My toddler girl loves to go to nursery every single day, to meet and play with her friends. Her communication has improved a lot and the assessment of her development was very useful.

My daughter has attended the nursery for 3 years. We have had a great experience. The staff have always been friendly, approachable, caring and supportive of us and our child. The staff have also remained consistent, which indicates they are happy working at the nursery, this has helped as we have become
closer with the staff and so has our daughter, which has been very helpful during dropping off in the morning. The introduction of the nursery app has been great, this is updated daily with what the children have been doing. They listen to ideas from the children for activities (teddy bears picnic and pyjamas day) being just an example that went down extremely well with our daughter. Communication from the nursery is always prompt, with regular updates and advice.
I would most definitely recommend this nursery to others. The management and room staff have been excellent. Fantastic setting and our daughter has never raised any concerns about attending.

My son loves nursery, he is so happy to go in now at drop off and waves goodbye to us. The team in his room plan and carry out lots of fun activities such as painting, planting, cooking, obstacle course and many more that he loves getting stuck into. His key person has completed an assessment of his
development and was able to talk us through each area. Couldn't recommend the nursery and whole staff team enough, they are all super friendly and helpful!

I was nervous about leaving my child as she has attachment issues but after her first two weeks of settling in, she made great progress. All members of staff both put me and my daughter at ease and she has been amazing and come a long way already. I am extremely pleased with how all members of staff,
including management, have dealt with me returning to work and accommodating my daughter, working hard to get her settled into the nursery.

My daughter has attended Bright Horizons Didcot Day Nursery and Preschool for the last two and half years. Although my daughter has difficulties with separation and is often tearful at morning drop off, the staff are caring and attentive to her. She always settles quickly into her day and has fun with
a wide range of activities. I really enjoy the daily updates via the app and find communication between myself and staff through the app very good. I think the staff are always considering how to help the children to develop themselves.

My son (now 2.5 years old), has attended the Didcot Day Nursery since he was ten months old. We are very happy with everything and the staff and management are great. He enjoys going to nursery and we feel that the activities and resources support his development and learning, very well. We are confident
that he is well cared for and he has always had good relationships with the staff looking after him, particularly those who have been his key person/carer.

All of the staff here are amazing and have been really great dealing with difficult conditions. Our son adores his key workers and always loves saying hello to all the staff outside his unit whenever he sees them. We’d be lost without them all!

The team and the facilities at Bright Horizons in Didcot are fantastic. The nursery is well-appointed, clean, and they have lots for the kids to do. The whole team is brilliant. The daily updates and photos in the app are a great touch. It's nice to see what my daughter is doing throughout the day.
My daughter was born deaf and requires a little more time and effort than most kids. The team have not just risen to this challenge, they have embraced it. They’re doing some good work with her helping her learn to communicate. We are definitely seeing the benefits of the work they are doing at home. Everyone has been fantastic, from the management team to the girls that look after her and everyone in between. I'm really happy Bright Horizons, and so is my daughter.

Bright Horizons in Didcot has been amazing. My daughter loves going every day and we have also felt so at ease leaving her to spend her days there. She has learnt so much and they also do such lovely activities for all the children. Our daughter has been going since she was 9 months old and I can honestly
say it’s been great, it’s like a little family. She gets welcomed every morning and I have not come across any staff member who doesn’t know her name and say hello as soon as they see her. It’s been a great start for her.

Our son loves going to nursery all the staff are wonderful and he has made some great friends.

The nursery and staff are fantastic. As a new parent we, of course, felt uneasy about leaving our daughter with new people but the staff really take the time to get to know her and what she likes/dislikes. They listen to feedback about day to day care of the child and keep in regular contact with us
when needed. I can't really fault anything and would highly recommend the nursery to other parents. Thanks to the amazing staff for looking after our daughter!

Ellis

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2011

Ellis has worked in childcare for 18 years, gaining extensive experience across a variety of settings with children ranging from birth to 11 years old. She joined the Didcot setting when it opened in September 2018, starting as Deputy Manager. Over the past nine years with Bright Horizons, Ellis has steadily grown and developed, advancing through several leadership roles before becoming Nursery Manager.


In the past six months, Ellis has had the privilege of presenting at the National Nursery Managers Show at both the NEC in Birmingham and the Excel in London. These opportunities allowed her to share her passion for incorporating a sustainability curriculum into early years education. She provided practical ideas to fellow professionals in the industry, finding it deeply rewarding to contribute to such an important conversation and inspire others in the field.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Childcare has been at the heart of Olivia’s journey since leaving sixth form in 2014. Over the years, Olivia has developed her skills and grown her career in early years education, moving from an Early Years practitioner to most recently Deputy Manager.


Olivia is passionate about continuous learning, collaboration with families, and building strong, supportive relationships to create the best outcomes for every child. Olivia feels a huge sense of pride in contributing to shaping young lives, supporting them on their unique journeys.

Hannah

Job Title: Third in Charge

Hannah is our Third in Charge. She has worked in childcare since 2012, gaining a variety of experience in different nurseries and age groups from 3 months old to 5 years. Hannah transferred to the Didcot Nursery in 2018 and quickly became the room leader of the 2-3's room. In May 2019, Hannah became Third in Charge and stepped up to maternity cover as Deputy Manager in 2020 and now remains as the Third in Charge for Didcot. In this position, Hannah works closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to implement high-quality programs, coordinate staff, and maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for all children.
